TRAILER for the upcoming City 24 (V3) map built for Garry's Mod. Featuring a 90% remake of the original v2 with a whole new centralized layout, aesthetic feel and atmosphere.

This is very, very fascinating what people can do with decade old or so engine, and make graphics very similar to games like half life alyx that are in way more advanced engine, yet both look very similar and especially metro train station gave me HL:A feels. Great job

I would pay actual money to see a full hl2 mod set in city 24

What I think would be great for storytelling in the mod:
-Citizens are assigned into groups and forced to march in formation to make monitoring over what they do easier
-A citizen's uniform has reflective bands
-Scanners fly by every minute or so on the streets
-Enlistment propaganda is plastered everywhere you look
-Citizens are afraid to talk to the player in fear of arousing attention
-Garrison in this city would mostly be transhuman and modified vehicles
-Every week, all Citizens are gathered to the square for judgment. This either means reward or death for Citizens within the city.
Kinda think if a City 24 hl2 mod were to exist, it would be one of the most difficult settings to escape just because of the sheer amount of security protocols set in place for the large population.

Easy fix: Load into gm_flat grass in sandbox, type “mat_specular 0” into the console, rejoin whatever server you were in
