창문에 쉴 새 없이 쏟아지는 비와 가늠할 수 없을 만큼의 도독 도독 소리를 듣자니 어렸을 적 아버지 차 뒷자리에서 노곤노곤하게 잠에 들던 때가 떠오르네요. 아무 걱정도 근심도 없던 시절 비는 멈출 줄을 모르고 차 안은 빵빵한 에어컨으로 닭살이 돋을 만큼 시원했고... 혼자서 흥얼흥얼 노래를 부르시던 아버지의 목소리가 선명히 기억납니다. 오랜만에 그 노래를 다시 불러달라고 부탁드려야겠어요. 스쳐지나가는 일상의 한조각이었지만 이리 그리울 수가 없네요.

그 아들이 커서 이제는 아들이 운전하고 아버지는 보조석에서 그간 빠르게 달려가시느라 보지못한 세상을 파노라마처럼 바라보시죠. 언젠가 내 아이들도 그럴 것이고 그걸 내 아이들에게 들려줄 것 입니다.
