In this video, we will be ranking all 36 champions currently in the Path of Champions 2.0! I will be joined by fellow Path of Champions Content Creator, @SpicyToastGaming Please note that these ranks are just opinions formulated based on our understanding/experience of the champions. Legends of Runeterra is a free-to-play digital collectible card game developed and published by Riot Games. It released on April 29, 2020 for Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS. The game was released in open beta for Microsoft Windows on January 24, 2020. It uses a setting and characters which originated with League of Legends, a multiplayer online battle arena game by Riot Games. Legends of Runeterra is a turn-based card game between two opponents, using constructed decks of 40 cards. Each player begins the match with a hand of four playing cards randomly selected from their card deck, a 20-health-point Nexus, and zero mana. The objective of the game is to bring the opponent's Nexus to zero health points.

I would say to always consider attacking with Gwen as the second attacker from the left, because she takes the hallowed bonus attack twice. I have done some otks (not 1st turn though) with gwen galeforce ludens and overwhelm, along with stabilize or the duplicate champion item. If you have 5 hallowed, the non ephemeral gwen alone would deal 17 + 52 dmg, draining half of that amount (she levels from the ephemeral attack, first attack 14 dmg + 3 drain, second attack 26 dmg + 26 drain). Ludicrous.
Yeah, that makes sense. I used to do that before (and sometimes still do) tbh like in my old Gwen videos 🤣. There was one day I accidentally put her third and three units got the buff. I figured it was decent since it could potentially force the AI to block, hence clearing the board, but definitely mathematically, second is better.

Thank you very much for this very up to date tier list. So far I didn't really care about those, but since I have reached 3/3.5 stars adventures, the game became bit harder. I see I got quite lucky with my drops and guts as most champions I have invested in are good ^_^

Actually, you shouldn’t always put Gwen as your third attacker. While it is good practice in general, putting her as your *second* attacker can be more beneficial in a lot of situations. This is because she would get hallowed twice: once from her champion passive and another time from the star power. Essentially, you would be getting double the hallows, which is very useful when either you want to level her up quickly or you need that small boost in extra lifesteal. Learning when to put her as your second attacker vs. as your third is very handy.

So hey. Bard is totally underranked. The thing about Bard that you're missing is that while it may take you a brief while to build a strong enough board to win, you *cannot lose*. Bard has so much lifesteal options, and so many big, fat blockers, that you can come back from a disastrous early game and still win with max health. Play him with spellshield, create-own-spell and refill-spell-mana relics, and you basically have an unstoppable board in no time at all. You only need one of your allies to roll lifesteal, and you're invincible.

Since relics drops are so random id love a Video about the importance of exact relics.
For Exemplar teemo is s-tier and doesnt need his 3 star, but it feels like the exact relics are important. And i think getting relics is way harder than 3 staring for new players.

@@AkephaLoR I remember screwing around with relics once and Yasuo Succubus Brand is so odd. it effectively turns him into a husk spamming minigun if you get multiple stuns per turn which is nuts.
One thing to mention is that ranking champions on low level and high level is very different. As someone who has both Gnar and Ashe on level 30 with 3 stars, I can confirm Gnar is without a doubt superior to Ashe and it makes me feel weird to see Ashe above him on this tier list 😅
Haha ironically, I'm the exact opposite 🤣. I haven't unlocked Gnar and I only just unlocked Ashe (still Lvl1 and 0 stars 😅), but I guess that makes sense as well since Gnar gets Overwhelm and other offensive stuff in his deck, but again I'm definitely not sure since I haven't piloted either one haha 🤣
Plus the disadvantage of pyke is after lv 20 we will, most likely, draw pyke in the early so we can't turn pyke into it spell
That makes sense, tbh, the spell isn't 100% necessary. It is very useful, don't get me wrong, but playing Pyke regularly is not bad as well 😅
LeBlanc is by far the strongest champ after you lvl her up. Being able to equip the Strike the Nexus relic three times, makes so that she enters leveled up already. When you use her spell + her burst spell, you can easily OTK the Nexus. And her attacking clone also strikes the nexus. I was able to finish Aurelion in 8 min. She’s not reliant on powers, and get a huge plus from champ itens.

Gnar my beloved 🥲 the champ who I beat my first two star adventure with. While I agree with your critique of his deck, the comfy feeling of having a fast spell to stun the enemy is just 👌

I've played Gnar a bit since this video. Still trying to figure him out (but that's probably just me being bad at this game 🤣). Hoping to do more stuff with Spicy too. I've been on break and haven't found the time to contact him yet haha 😅.
I would put Jinx and maybe Diana even higher. With other S tiers you may still lose if you are unlucky and play horribly. With Jinx at 3stars it’s really impossible to lose any battle since she is constantly wiping the opponent’s board.
Ayy, that's true. I think for the next one, we'll have a special tier or something similar for Jinx. Just pretend she's at the very top of S-tier for this one 🤣. Didn't arrange every champion within the tiers because we didn't want this video to take too long haha 🤣

Jinx can lose to the galio boss fight
I love playing bard with refill spell mana at start of turn and add to hand a fleeting copy at start of turn. Always remove cards through the run and you turbo boost your board and hand really hand
Yeah, I enjoy Bard more these days tbh 🤣. CSF and Shadeleaf makes him much more aggressive. Will have to try the Archangels and Counterplan build you mention. Seems neat!
I have to say, Evelynn is tier S+, with yasuo's relic and everytime you level up rally relic, you can literally attack without defenders everytime you level up, easy win even versus aurelion.
Evelyn with rare relic 'when i level up, stun all enemies' is kinda broken, she level up almost every turn, and with another relic 'when i level up, rally' shes unstoppable 😂
Yep! You can attack 5 times or so if you trigger it correctly
Jinx with Luden deals 12 dmg to enemy nexus when she levels up for 2 spell mana. I think it's even more than S tier.
Once I even played it with power that doubles slow spells. That was interesting.
Yeah, Jinx is just Jinx tbh 🤣. I think we'll create a special tier for her next time out. Just pretend she's at the top of S-tier in this one haha. We didn't arrange them because we didn't want the video to go too long 🤣🤣🤣
I was considering of getting Garen later since I have STALKER"S BLADE, but I think I will get Gwen later, and here's the reason why... 2-star quest STRICTLY require a specific nation if not more.
Yeah, some quests need specific regions. Which one are you trying to complete my bro, maybe I could help you figure out what's best
I’d argue that when running Gwen you always should put her in the second slot because you still get the same stats across the field but leveled gwen drains more per power, and since she’s in the second slot she gets hallowed proc’d twice on her (1 for her star power, 1 for her card ability). This works especially well with troll king’s crown (use common relic that grants overwhelm if you donnt have this) and luden’s tempest since she doubles the dmg she gets per 2 power on top of the overwhelm. Definitely a nice combo to run I’d recommend those two.
Cheers. Yeah, I have done that in the past. In fact, I still do. I think when I said it I had the intention of forcing the AI to block to clear units. Outside of that, I'd still put her at second. The Gwen text can already be a bit confusing to newer players or those who don't speak English, so I tried to make it simple, I think I ended up making it a bit too simple 😅

but id give the the bard a b tier considering with the right relics and supp champs u can lvl very fast and abuse the granted keywords
he is actually very fun to play and offer different play styles with different sup champs
also darius in my opinion is a tier can be very strong if u equip him with the relic that attacks the nexus especially if u get the summon emphemeral copy of champ
u can summon him and insta end game
i did 2 asol runs with 2 nexus attack relics and crushed him easily
Thanks! 🤘 Yeah, Bard is one of the champions that has definitely grown on me ever since I first played him here on the channel. I like running the CSF and Shadeleaf, irrespective of support champion. I think we ultimately decided on C because newer players might not have access to the keyword star power nor the same relics I used.
As for Darius, I've used him as well in my 3x Gatebreaker video here on the channel. Super fun for sure! I think we put him in B because not everyone has 3x Gatebreakers, and only a few people might have 2.
I guess we were trying to look through the perspective of a new player haha 🤣
Good video, only placement I would argue is that ekko was placed a bit too low. Mostly because just how well he works with some of the runes ( grand generals counter plan in particular) and just how good his starting deck is.

Veigar deserves to be higher than c tier now. Chemtech duplicator allows double darkness which gets rid of the threat of spell shield and allows darkness to quickly finish off an opponent.
I'm finding time to update this tierlist. I'm bogged down by two jobs ATM, but yeah, now with Chemtech, he's definitely higher
What is the fastest way to farm the relics they use? i swear been playing forever now but i only have half unlocked.

Hi bro, unfortunately there's no fast way 😅. Relic drops are random, so the only way to get them consistently is to complete the weekly quests that give Reliquaries. Again, it's not guaranteed you'll get a specific relic however.
I might have to disagree with you on Annie and Bard.
Annie with Archangels staff and grand generals counter plan is an insane control that eliminates any and everything on sight. Aurelion sol wasn't even a challenge with her. Her AGGRO only comes second or even on par with Diana provided you get good champion item on her.
Bard at lv 20 3 star does not require him on board. His support card get items attached to them which trigger his star power. Getting him on board witht the two relics above, well you know what's happens then. Obtaining DOMINATION power just makes the whole deck go brrrrr. I haven't seen any encounter that can challenge bard's first 2 cost unit on board.
I actually disagree with what you said about gwen. (I 100% agree that she is s+++ tier) but you should be putting her as second attacker. I have her equipped with crown guard inheritance which means that when she levels I rally, in addition as second attacker she gets double hallowed attack buff (her passive and the power). So pretty much what I do is I have her decked out with the overwhelm relic, the +1 ability damage relic (procs on each of her snips) and crown guard inheritance. Turn 1 and 2 you get a hallowed stack from the ghastly bands from the power. Turn 3 gwen attacks for 7 and drains for 3 which is just enough to level. And then attacks for 12 and drains for an additional 12 because of her buffed snips. This is pretty much always enough to straight up win a game especially when you factor in the 1 or 2 followers who could also have been buffed by hallowed and when you factor in the possibility for any units you played in previous turns to have died giving more hallowed stacks. Anyways that was my 2 cents.

I really had to get Ashe and used her soon, i wanted to build the strongest Ashe in PoC
I only unlocked her the other day, not enough fragments to star her up yet however haha 😅, but she seems great, Spicy told me the same thing as well during our discussions
Teemo with the scout item, tough, and stun item. And then get the spawn ephe champion as power/item to get 2 teemos,2 stun, 3x mushrooms during attack. U can spawn teemo during def and save atleast 1 so it recall to get 1 extra teemo card, also stun 2 strong enemies. If enemy has insane removals, same advice, but spawn them last,keep them in the board, if that dont work keep one in hand. Always attack with non ephe first for scout. Been doing this forever against sol, so simple. Best champ.

This seems a bit slow for Teemo. I've been using him with the scout item and 2 of the relics that let him hit face when he's summoned. It's a bit of a glass cannon but tends to win before turn 5.

Hey, thanks for watching firstly 😁, and yeah, I think Pyke is pretty good. When Spicy and I discussed, that was one of the champions that we were quite careful where to place 😅. Ultimately we decided on A because Pyke needs to consistently strike to get the raised attack stat. Without it, he won't function really well. We ultimately put him in A because even though he can be very strong, if he can't get "fed", he will suffer quite a little bit haha 😅

Isint the second slot also good on gwen, because she gets a double buff, allowing you to trigger her level up with less hallowed, as well as getting more HP drain?

Yep, AllDay's reasoning is same like mine. I put Gwen third because you're raising three allies attack stats. If it's high enough past a certain threshold, the AI will be forced to block all three. Unless I'm going for damage, it's more worth to put her second.
I think I maybe could've said it when I was recording, but the Gwen's star power's text is so long-winded and might confuse newer players or non-English speakers, so I tried to keep things simple, maybe I made it too simple 😅.

Personally I would definitely put Jhin in S. The versatility of having perfect crowd control and seamless and devastating poke on the board is incredible and can alleviate very aggro AI opponents and strategies. He's extremely reliable and safe. Was who I used to beat the big boss Sol. (Current build Level 29 Jhin. Ludenns, Tempest Blade Lost Chapter)
Illaoi I think also should go in A (Especially after the recent buffs). She is a OTK queen. Especially with the Relic that rallies when she levels up. It's not too difficult to protect a tentacle with the right add-ons and support you get along the Path of Champions and ultimately she just can be a very safe and easy to use win condition with some protection. She was used to also successfully test big boss Sol (Current build Level 30 Illaoi. Stormrazor, Crownguard Inheritance, The Deceiver's Crest. Tentacle Smash is a great spell to have for free.)
Leona also is worthy of A just because she can set-up easy OTK's with relentless Daybreak triggers, especially if Rahvan is on the field. Plus 0 cost Morning Light stacked with the Ability that doubles your Slow-speed spell casts is INSANE value and one of the most powerful combos in the Path of Champions I feel. Plus Daylight has the benefit of potentially pulling something for the situation at hand that is very powerful, and the Daylight buff stacks with any new Champions or units you get giving it good versatility with other champions you might get in a run. She helped me win against the big boss Sol. (Current build. Level 30 Leona. Wriggle's Lantern, Banshee's Veil The Troll King's Crusher)

Cheers mate! Appreciate the input 🤘😁. Jhin is definitely great, but can be a bit complex to pilot for newer players which is probably why we put him in A. Definitely agree that he's very reliable and can be breathtaking to play by a high skill player.
As for Illaoi, I like her as well, but the Tentacles are practically your main win-con. We felt she was a bit one-dimensional in that regard and if she can't capitalize of big tentacles, you might struggle. Definitely recognize her strength, but was taking into account her singular playstyle.
Leona on the other hand is also good with the Daybreak's and stuns. Again, very one-dimensional since it's centered around that. As you mentioned, Rahvun is an absolute necessity. We felt because of that, and since it heavily relies on a unit (that itself is not a guarantee draw), she can be a bit slower and potentially a struggle to use if you can't Daybreak consistently.

Path of Champions is absolutely iconic (Though I do wish Seraphine and Norra could be used on it and I also miss my Nami spell shenanigans) and a really well-done gamemode. If we could just get the long overdue part 3 to the champion storylines then there'd be more to do but it's still good to give Champions some love and feel like an overpowered but awesome duelist.

Annie should be S tier , with dreadway chase gun, galeforce and luden ,when you have her in hand, it's like 1-3 turn to win , especially when you have the double summon relic/power . It make ASol a joke, since it died in 1 to 2 turn

How much lv is enough for a champ to go on a 3 stars adventure ?
Hmm, I'll answer this with my usual grinding regime. I usually bring a Level 10-20 champion into a 3 Star adventure, but bear in mind, this champion has 2 Star Powers. Something to consider. I guess if it's a lower star champion, try going for a 2 or 2.5 star adventure.

i disagree with Veigar being C tier, i beat A Sol with a lvl 20 3 star veigar, no legendary powers. Probably A tier
Cheers man, appreciate the input! 🤘. I think mid/high B would be more appropriate in future. You must remember you're very reliant on Veigar to work his magic. If he dies and you cannot summon him (assuming you're already Level 2), Darkness unable to damage the Nexus only the units isn't going to do much especially against Asol's beefy units.
But like I said again... 2-star quest demands one nation, if not more to fully complete it.
Haha yeah, I think at the time when we made the video, we were more focused on the Asol chapter and assumed that the champion had a good build haha 🤣
So weird thing about Gwen, if you put her as your second attacker, she'll be buffed TWICE by the hallowed buff. Which means you can drain MUCH more with her and needs less units in play to be as optimal as possible. Sometimes you'll want her as the third attacker, especially if she hasn't leveled up yet, as having a ton of attack won't drain for more than 2.
Yeah, she does get a higher stat buff haha. I've done it before. I probably was being unnecessarily oversimplified when I said just put her third 😅. My train of thought at the time was that it could clear more blockers in that manner, but definitely, if she's at level 2 you might want to play her second, especially if you need big lifesteal.
@@AkephaLoR Ah that makes sense. I’m so used to her having overwhelm from the rare item where she just runs over everything and usually kills the first or second time she attacks leveled haha. Using her like that to force more blocks makes sense if she wouldn’t have lethal.
conclusion: if the champion uses galeforce, it's probably S tier.

Idk Annie is really strong play her with (scout item/ +1 skill/spell damage and when I’m summoned create 2 warning shots you do like 8 to nexus garanteed
Yeah, that's one way to do it, I only just unlocked the Warning Shot relic you mentioned, "Chase Gun", so I hadn't tried that out yet, but she's really good. I think she's High A/Low S, just didn't get around to arranging it properly haha 😅

Very strange tier list. First of all, you rate more champions than actual decks which makes no sense on PoC where you play with your deck.
Also you seems do not consider monthly challenge, some of which are mich harder to counter than ASol. For example, I would give Gnar A-tier just for ability to right away stun 4/3 Zed on turn one that will destroy if unless dealt with on turn 1. And you do not say anything about usinf items, which can turn sime champions into bests and that potential must also be included

I think the 1-2 cost champions are all the best except the 4 cost Gwen with luden (it's so broken) 🤣

Matias is correct. It's harder to pilot an expensive champion because the Asol outscales you severely. It's not impossible, granted, just very difficult
