Hi. I had an appointment last month with a plastic surgeon, i even chose my implants and everything, i had surgery scheduled for the 6th of May. But after watching all this vídeos and info, i gave up on the surgery. I feel sad because i would really like to have breasts, since i have nothing, i am completely flat, but i can´t take the risk of being unhealthy. Health is more important than beauty. So thank you Stephanie for making this vídeo, really. Oh, and by the way, you are gorgeous! Greetings from Portugal.

You made the right decision! I’m looking for a good surgeon to have mine taken out. I’ve had two breast augmentation surgeries, I began feeling I’ll within 2 weeks of my second surgery. I wish so much have that I had my health back.

I wish I had never had mine done. I have been sick for years. I am planning on getting them removed soon but right now I need to have some more imaging done. They found a mass during my mammogram. Praying that it isn't cancer. I don't have a family history of cancer.

Even if I had a double mastectomy, I would not get implants. I have done too much research to ever risk ruining my health with breast implants.

Please get genetic testing! A good genetic couselor can read or connect you to the proper doctor to read your genetic tests and tell you what is going on in your body. It may or may not be the implants, so its best to be sure before undergoing an explant

Girls, I'm a man, I'm 71 years old, but seriously do not feel it; in my life, which began in 1947, I was to grow up in a world where women were not considered in any other way, other than as objects, my home life, through the behaviour of my father, not to mention all those other males who would influence my outlook and behaviour, women were slowly seen by me as I grew and developed, as domestic slaves, or sex objects, we as males were never programmed to consider the fact you all had the same range of emotions as men, the same desires, as far as what you'd like to do with your life, or, especially the fact you had feelings, that those feelings were being bombarded by everything men were doing and saying around you, especially when it came to your appearance, which as you'll all agree, was not at all helped by Hollywood or magazines.
I must point out, I have never been an attractive man, never wealthy, never able to afford to keep up with any kind of trend, not at all religious, and at the end of my days, despite wishing things were different for me at various times of my life, it was what I thought of the way I'd lived my life, when I began to look back at my path through life, that I realised just how useless the superficial things in life really are.
If women continue to believe it's how they look which is most important, they'll never know real love, because love of you, is about who you are naturally, the way you treat others, and the way that makes others feel about you through your kindness and care, and, if like me, no one ever sees those good things about you, then you're truly better off alone, because if it's only the superficial you, others are attracted to, then you're nothing but an object to them, a trophy, something to hang on their arm to impress others, as for who you are as a person, that they will never see, because they won't be aware of who you really are, under all the superficial armour you wear, as you try to be what others want, instead of being, and enjoying, who you truly are.
    Health before beauty.

The truth is Linda, I'm 71 years of age and now have the time to reflect, which has enabled me to see the way things should have been, but never were, and unfortunately, given the way the world has always been, they never will be, especially for women; you get a shocking deal in this life, a deal no man would ever tolerate for himself, yet most men thinks nothing of dumping such a terrible deal on women.. @@jaala1759

swagonwheels I’m a woman and women are as responsible for the way things are for as anyone is. As long as they accept it and promote it nothing will change. Remember women’s lib? Whatever happened to it... it takes a longtime to change. Economics drives a lot.

    • @swagonwheels
      @swagonwheels 5 лет назад +1

@@mR-dc4oq I hear you, but in fairness, if you go way back in time, the fact women have been suppressed since almost the beginning of time, demonstrates just how long they've been conditioned into believing what their alleged role is, when the fact is, men who were also conditioned into believing these same things, must learn to be more considerate, and face the fact, times have changed, men and women both have to work these days, so who's going to get the woman's pipe and slippers when she gets home, who will prepare food, shop for same, clean house, raise children, and the list goes on.
I do remember women's liberation, I saw processions of women who did not need liberating as they were already free to be out in public, protesting in full view, what I didn't see were the real victims of inequality, the beaten wives, the actual people who needed liberating, and what I also saw were pathetic, control freak males, who watched those women marching in protest, which made those pathetic weaklings of men feel threatened, so instead of helping the real victims, what those already liberated women did was to cause those unfortunate captives of women to be even more beaten and suppressed.
The intention of women's lib was good, but the outcome didn't see any kind of real change for those who were already living in hell, and I should know, because I witnessed a male pig beating and abusing my own mother all through those so called liberating years.
I have no solution for inequality, lets face it, it's been over 50 years since women's lib began, yet there are still women suffering inequalities in every conceivable way, that brought women's lib to the fore in the first place.
My life hasn't been great, but as a male, I know I got a far better deal than if I'd been a woman.

Your story is MY story! Im literally crying right now listening to everything that has happened to you and everything you were diagnosed with and symptoms (food allergies, digestive issues, every vitamin level low, became hypothyroid, adrenal fatigue, BRAIN FOG and inability to even remember words of things, and the horrendous hair loss) all while living a very healthy lifestyle...the past 9 months my body has finally just given out and Im a complete mess, tired all day long, joint pains, Ive gained 25lbs from inflammation and swelling...and I cant even muster up the energy to exercise anymore and so unbeleivably depressed and anxiety ridden , my hormones are a complete mess, Im unable to be a mother anymore (thank God for my fiance stepping in to help me) .
I just learned about BII through a good friend who is dealing with it (even worse) and just discovered it. I joined a few FB groups and am excited to hopefully get a consultation soon for an explant. I cannot afford the procedure but have to figure out a way to do this at some point soon. Im angry that this has to happen and the pain, expense, smaller A cup breasts again that don't match my big hips ....but your story has given me hope. I just know this is the problem after listening to your's and so many others experiences and positive experiences after explanting. So happy for you and so very hopeful to get my life and health back ...and mayne my hair. My son and fiance need me. I'm 41 and for 5 years have felt that Im 80 years old. Im so ready! Thank you so much for posting your story :)

I have no doubt you will feel so much better after you get yours out. You will feel alive again and the breast size won't matter...THEY don't define you or your beauty. Your fiance and son love you for you...you will find that same love when you feel healthy again. Please keep me posted. I will keep you in my prayers.

3 years ago I had calf implants done & my life since the day of that operation in one word: suffering. On the brink of suicide frankly.

Stephanie Butler thanks Stephanie!! This is SUCH a sensitive issue to talk about - these types of surgeries aren’t nearly as common in men, makes it that much harder finding (the right) support. I was SHOCKED, and somewhat relieved to find all these videos of women that have had a similar experience with breast implants.
It literally feels like my body is shrinking & shriveling up to get these out. I’ve dropped 20lbs, 3 bowel movements (before noon) everyday, and constantly urinating - hence: body eliminating waste in warp speed! These implants & whatever toxic shit is in them? Yup. Waste.
The doctors, the tens of thousands.... it’s CRAZY how similar our stories are.
I’m going to make a series of videos as well - I’ve told my fiancé a lot: I feel like I’m dying.

@@andreweich2600 Yes it is...so many don't talk about it, however I felt like God brought me through this journey for a purpose and sharing felt natural. I wanted to make sure that not only are those that don't have them made aware, but the people that do have them are aware. I know exactly how you feel. But so much of what you've said really resonates with me. EDIT: I explanted April 29th, so at this time I'm 9 days out. Wow, 9 days!! Once I realized those awful bags were the cause of SO many issues I acted pretty quick. But the wait was excruciating either way. Turns out one was actually ruptured!! I listened to you and I can not believe how much your story sounds like mine. I just found out that both of my implants are ruptured. Scared to death because I have a ton of Labs, Bio-Markers that are way elevated. I just like you have been to dozens of doctors, I have such a serious digestive problem, and the list goes on and on. I can not wait to get these toxic bags out of me. I am so angry because I had implants from 93-2012 that I had removed and replaced, (no idea of all this then) well I also just found out that the doctor put them in 2012 left capsules fragments in me, 2 weeks after I had to have drains put back in on one side, the same side that the fragments were left in, I have to do some serious praying I don't have ALCL, especially with all these elevated labs. Thank You for sharing, I have always known that I had some wrong and it so nice to know that we aren't crazy. I am so Happy for you! I can't wait to get a life back.

Thank You and I am aware of the importance, as I now know that when these were put in, they were replacing 23 yo ones that were ruptured, I found out from my post-MRI that the last surgeon left capsule in me, I immediately began having problems with these. Had I known about ANY of this I would have NEVER replaced them. I am so so angry that this is happening to so many of us. Based on all my labs primarly bio-markers that until this now has come to light, they couldnt explain why, well now more labs are going up and I am scared to death that it is ALCL, to top all this off the Ins Company has denied paying for removal so I am fighting to get coverage so this can be done before I wind up dead.. this is all like a bad dream, especially because I am dealing with Spinal cord Injuries from doc putting non FDA approved devices in my neck (have had 6 Spinal Surgeries) now need another, losing use of limbs again. I honestly don't know how much more I can endure.

Oh my God, your story is almost exactly my story, except that 16 years ago at the age of 37, because I had a very strong maternal family history of breast cancer, I had bilateral total mastectomies with implant reconstruction. I also have saline implants, and had always thought that they were 100% safe....until just a couple of weeks ago. I had never heard of BII until 2 weeks ago. Like you, I have been to so many types of different doctors, and to emergency rooms, have so many digestive problems, even had to have my gallbladder removed because it just simply stopped functioning and nobody could tell me why. I've had horrible migraines, blurry vision, hair loss, itchy skin, brain fog, horrible and debilitating back, joint & muscle pain, and the list goes on and on. I never dreamed that it could be my implants that were making me sick until I went to see a doctor of orientalist medicine to get some acupuncture, and when he found out that I'd had implants for 16 years....he told me to do some research on BII. So that's what I did, as well as joined a BII support group. I have a consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss getting the implants removed coming up on February 13th. I'm terrified at the thought of having to undergo another surgery (I've had a few), but I'm more terrified at the prospect of not getting the implants removed. Thank you so much for sharing your story...it gives me hope that I will end up being okay. God bless you! 💕

This is also my story. I am an ICU RN and my faith in doctors is very low. I had thyroid cancer. I had my gallbladder removed. Dry eyes, fatigue, rashes, acne, muscle aches, brain fog, and spinal and joint pain. My Vitamin D, B12, Iron are always low... all have told me that my implants are unrelated to my mystery illness. I just tested positive for HLA B27 (which puts you at risk for autoimmune diseases) and have been diagnosed with RA and Ankolosing spondylitis. I am looking into removal and a fat transfer. I have had saline implants for over 10 years - the major issues started before my second child was born 5 years ago. I have had to cut down to part time. I am exhausted, and I feel like I am a burden to my family. I am only 35. Before this, I lifted weights, cleaned, cooked, attended college, and was a great mother and wife.

It is the worst feeling for sure. I am sorry you are dealing with that. It is crazy how doctors don't believe that it could be something foreign attacking your body. Transplant patients receive anti rejection meds, yet implant patients don't get anything. I hope you get to have yours taken out sooner than later. It was the best decision I have ever made. Are you free of your thyroid cancer now? I guess they took it out?

    • @KathleenEdge

@@StephanieButler I am! After two surgeries, I no longer have a thyroid. You made an excellent point about transplant patients! The medical community is still so far behind. In school, they taught us that the body attacks itself in automimmune diseases. I've never been convinced that this is so, and surmised that it attacks substances that we are consuming and/or something in our food/environment. I am terrified that I will not get better... but, the thought of keeping the implants and becoming sicker terrifies me more! I want my life back, and to not be in unbearable pain every day.

I take a done of medication, supplements and IV treatments. OMG, I could have written what Elitha just wrote. I got my saline textured "Mentor" implants put in 29 years ago (11/29/90) and had a rupture of one in 1993 and then the other one ruptured in 1995. I have suffered for SO many years and went to every specialist out there, only to be referred to another specialists. I started out seeing my primary care doctor, and then went to an orthopedist, pain mgmt, acupuncturist, rheumatologist, infection control, gastroenterologist, endocrinologist, ophthalmologist, dermatologists, functional nutritionist, oncologist, ENT, psychiatrist and many therapists with NO answers. It wasn't until this past summer that I started to develop severe shortness of breath and chest pain and could literally feels these hard nodules on the borders of my left implant that I went back to my primary care doctor (Sept). She did an EKG and CXR and said that both were normal and suggested I follow-up with a breast surgeon. I waited until 11/6/19 to see my PS as I still thought the pain would just go away and contributed both that and the shortness of breath to my anxiety. When I saw my PS on 11/6/19, he immediately looked at me and said, "You have breast implant illness". I was like, "What the hell is that?" I have been a nurse for over 30 years and never heard of it. He suggested that he do a percutaneous breast deflation and then suggested I fly off to his office in Costa Rica so that I can replace them with the new and improved "Motiva" implants (Holy crap...you should see what Dr. Chun said about those...he said he can only pray they never get approved in the USA and hopes to God he never has to remove another set as it was by far the most difficult of surgeries and the implants were above the muscle. I could not run out of the door fast enough and started my research on BII the minute I got home from his office. OMG, within five minutes I was in tears. I was reading this one woman's story and was crying because I could have written it (just has I could have written Elitha Smith's story) and crying because after all these years of suffering, I FINALLY had a diagnosis! Like Elitha said, "All the dots started connecting". Moving forward I could not express how grateful I am to the "Breast Implant Healing By Nicole" forum. If it wasn't for the forum, I would have never had found this amazing PS and nor would I have gotten the support I so much needed. My explant date is scheduled for 1/17/20. I can only hope for the best as I have had them for so many years and am not the picture of health. I have already educated four woman about BII and just this morning sent a FB message to someone I know that has implants as she had actually consulted with me before she got hers done. I spoke at length with my ophthalmologist and my optometrist and said, "If someone presents with dry eye and failing vision, please keep it in the back of your mind to ask them if they have breast implants". I won't be posting it on my FB page as it is a private matter to me, but I will do everything in my power to educate woman. For example on Monday I had to go for another dental consult as I have an extraction that won't heal since 10/21. Not surprised as my body is probably saying, "I am dealing with so much and you want me to worry about your dam tooth!" Anyway, I told the hygienist that I was going to have surgery soon and she asked me for what and I told her. She said, "OMG, what is breast implant illness". She was in shock and said, "OMG, I have had my implants now for 16 yrs and I have so many of those symptoms". I sat with her for almost 20 minutes and gave her some written information I had with me. She stood up and gave me a hug and thanked me. When I went to check-out she said, "Stay here for a second". She came back with the office mgr and the office mgr said, "There will be no charge for today". Wow! God works in mysterious ways...you have no idea how clearly he is speaking to me. I literally went to church "as is" last week as I was in REALLY bad shape. Unfortunately, my favorite priest was not saying the mass and no disrespect to the priest that was, but I think he forgot to put his dentures in as I could not understand what he was saying and he simply went on for what felt like an eternity reading his sermon. It wasn't until he was concluding his sermon that he looked up and said, "Don't give up. You may have the last key on the key ring, but that maybe the key that opens a new door". Wow! Well, when I was walking out I happened to run into Father Ed. He looked at me and tears just rolled down my face. We talked for a little bit, he gave me a special blessing, gave me a kiss and a hug and I left. OMG, by the time I got to my car, the pain was almost gone. I had enough strength to stop at two stores on the way home and then went home and cleaned my house for three hours. God is Good! Thank you SO much for sharing your story. XO

Explant surgery is a huge investment & a few weeks of modified bed rest. They day of surgery I woke up with clear eyes, fresh skin, absolutely no back pain, no headaches, could think clearly, sinus blockages relieved, no rashes, my face is glowing (not red) and hair is soft (mind you no showering for 5 days!). There is NO looking back after the lighter side of explant. I also had a lift with capsolectomy. Thanks for sharing your story. It sounds like mine. I've only had mine 4 years but had these symptoms for 3. I'd not made the link until the last couple of weeks. I'd gone to Drs about my problems with my bladder. They found an ovarian cyst which I was told was the cause and why I had severe pelvic pain. During the operation no cyst was found! Still have urinary problem and pain. I've had a mammogram and ultrasound because I have an enlarged painful palpable axillary lymph node. I was told it was fine, that I looked fit and well and it was probably hormones. ( she missed the fact that I was having to wear a wig at the time due to hair loss!) I have had a thyroid problem that was just under being a problem. Low calcium levels. I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia because of the joint pain, tingling and muscle spasms. My fingers and toes hurt so much I need painkillers to move them whilst I am working. I am a burden! I can't believe it is not just me! I am so grateful as depressing as it is to hear that there could be a cause and more importantly a solution to the mess that my health is in. I am just petrified of having them removed only to find I'm not cured. I wish they could find a simple way of diagnosing so you can be certain of improvement. I'll keep watching see how your doing. I'm praying for you and praying you're right. Thank you xx

Thank you so much for this video. really from the bottom of my heart. I would really love if you can help me giving me your advice. I’m 27 years old. I got silicone chin implant 2 years ago. 4 months post op my hair fell out in hundreds(its still ongoing, its overall thinning. I can see my scalp and my hair is thin), my eyebrows fell, eyelashes, underarm, hair on legs fell out and generally all over the body. my derm diagnose it as chronic telogen effluvium. My always healthy nails became ridged and yellow and stopped growing, I developed geographic tongue, really bad insomnia, tingling in feet, memory loss(my memory always been super sharp), night sweats, anxiety, pains all over my body, weight loss,,vision problems,IBS(my stomach rumbling no matter what I eat),very weak and tired. I did tons of tests...tons(colonoscopy,endo,CT scans, blood tests for everything,iron,B12,D,zinc,h. pylori, thyroid full panel, celiac,ANA,every possible STD basically everything..and they are all /negative/normal). The only thing was abnormal is that I stopped absorbing iron ..it suddenly dropped..I got infusion and my levels are good but I feel very weak like I’m going to pass out any moment. my dr said I’m good now... I feel very weak and I was healthy before this..I never had any of these...never. I thought about anything that could have caused it... My derm asked me many times what have you done 3-4 months before your hair started to fall in hundreds? it was the surgery... and the stressor I think is the implant(my derm told me if it was the anasthesia the hair loss would have stopped after 6 months approx but its chronic in my case meaning the stressor is something else .).what do you think? I feel very alone because my GP doesn’t think my symptoms are real and I’m taking anti depressants but the symptoms just got worse not better at all.. I know I was completely healthy 2 years ago.. I didn’t have any of this 😪 and he doesn’t think implant can do this reactions. Started losing weight developing thyroid issues constantly yawning, feeling very fatigued Kevin body odor. Bad breath in the morning. When I go to the doctors my kidneys are low they said it could be dehydration which I don’t drink enough water so I thought it was from that. I’m having rashes on my body. Itchiness. Random nose bleeds. Headache. I know all the symptoms are caused from this implant I can’t wait to get mines out so I don’t feel like my self. i’ve had them in for 10 years my sister knows that I’ve been complaining of how I felt and she was considering getting implants so she started looking into it and came upon this Facebook group and that’s when it hit me.

Did you have a lawsuit over this? This is awful you had to go through all that you did. It effects your whole life. I am going through some problems and my doctor had me see a rheumatologist. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I also have IBS and I was not diagnosed with depression but I do have it because of how all these different symptoms have changed my life. I have a very stressful life because we own our own business so we are constantly on the go. Headaches, joint pain, muscle pain, muscle twitches, sometimes I get electrical sensations in my neck and my face, fatigue, cognitive memory that is one of the worst symptoms, with the IBS you get nauseous on and off. Lately my appetite has decreased which is probably a good thing so I’m not complaining about that. But as far as the pain pins and needle‘s fatigue it is just wearing me out.

Hi! I am sorry you are having such a hard time finding a doctor. I am unsure of someone in Brazil. My face didn't hurt, however my tongue would hurt all the time. Everyone's body reacts differently so it could be inflammation or nerves causing your problems. Staying active is very important. I wish I knew how to help you better to find a doctor. Where do you live? Maybe you could fly to the states?

@@gia3881 You are welcome. You should be able to find a good doctor in NJ. I am sure they have them up there. I totally understand. It was a struggle for me right before I had mine out as well. If they are what is causing your issues, you will be much better off with them out, than leaving them in. You will feel so great once they are out and you heal.

I had Mentor Saline implants. I would check into yoru symptoms and see if they match and then go talk to a Dr for a consult.
