    As always a wonderful video. The boat looks great. Looking at the stairs reminds me that in a few weeks we will be in Maine and back to stairs. As always you make me hungry with the dinners you do so well. Enjoy and thanks for sharing.

    Is the issue with it being brittle that it is more likely to break if under a lot of load? Or more that it has lost its stretchiness/elasticity so less effective as a bridal? I don’t know much about assessing when to replace old ropes/lines.

      Both! We’ve heard a good rule of thumb for full time cruisers is is to replace your bridle every ~3yrs… So we are past due😅 I’ll take a close up video of our old one when it’s out of the water, it’s very obvious!
