Could you help me. When we set the alarm after leaving the house it goes off. It think it is meam door. How can you check or remove so we can use for rest of the use at leat. Many thanks 😊
Your system should have the ability to omit. See the user guide unfortunately if it’s the main entry point some systems won’t allow you to omit them, that’s the alarm make and model?
Also, can you set different chimes for the door entry sensor? and can you say if you detect motion (via a PIR) in a hall before the door is opened then don't sound the chime (for the example the occupant is opening the front door to a guest) as opposed to someone walked through the front door. So in effect, it would chime when someone came in from outside but not if someone from inside went out
Hiya, thank you for your video. I also have the connected app to this - is there any way on either the app or directly on the pad to set up a regular alarm - for example for the system to secure itself at midnight as my partner and I don't always remember to turn it on?
Hi yes there is way I can show you how to do this if you want to know please reply back and I can walk you through it or program it remotely with the device name and details etc
Out of curiosity, why would you have the door contact sensor activate the countdown when part set to evening, surely if the door was to open you would want the alarm to sound? or has it been set that way by design say if another family member came in late at night after you had set the alarm and gone to bed they would be able to enter without activating the alarm or be given the change to deactivate the alarm, also is the count down audible alerts enough to wake someone? and can you set a door sensor to guard and always activate the alarm regardless of the set mode for an example to protect a garage where they would be no entry/ exit access?
Hi thanks for the helpful video. I wonder if it's possible to add a bit more complexity to the part-arm example you gave. Let's say there are 3 door contacts on the ground floor, and a number of PIRs throughout the house (mostly on the ground floor but also one on the landing). I understand that I could omit the PIR on the landing and part-arm as such, but the arm would count down if I were to go downstairs and get caught by one of the PIRs on the ground floor. Could I program the part-arm in the such way that no PIR will trigger the count down unless it's in combination with one of the door contacts? Using logic it would look like this: (DC1 OR DC2 OR DC3) AND (PIR1 OR PIR2 OR ... PIRN) Could you please explain whether this is possible?
Hi, do you perhaps know how to set the chime so that when all zones are deactivated that the chime does not make a sound when the zone is triggered. For example, during the day my alarm is full off but I have passive sensors in my house so everytime my kids walk to the kitchen or TV room it triggers or notifies that a zone is triggered.... So annoying
great helpful videos thank you. When you arm in this example your panel arms without you activating the entry exit switch, I can’t get my alarm to arm unless I activate entry/exit which is not helpful at bedtime for example. I have set my Hallway PIR for entry/exit2 but main panel sounder doesn’t stop sounding and the PIR is not activating however it works on Walk Test, can you help please?
hey to need to do a pre set zone alarm or area pre set and this can be programmed to evening or bed time 1 or bed time 2 and you can change times to fit around you.
Do all the other devices add or just the PIRs? If you go on engineer utility’s and confirm devices does it show a 1 in exp? If not the expanders faulty!
@@alarmassist Sometimes if the battery is already live in the PIR and you have other units around I found it didn't work. But then if I took the battery out to kick start it and made it face the panel (both sides) then they were learnt. Some of what I did may or may not have been necessary but it got to the end result!
Hi, ive been looking at your RUclips channel for a while, ive got the elite 64 just trying to add a door contact as a test and im sure ive done everything you mention but getting radio config error! Pls help if you see this thanks
During the video when you are setting the Programing of Zones and the Part Arm function for the first time I hear the audible noise from the panel. After a while it stops without you entering the Master code at which point you say the system is set. Is this a one off audible noise at initial setup or do you get the audible noise each time you Fully Arm or Part Arm the system? (I noticed the PIR sensor is face down throughout the video). Thank you in advance for your time
f alickolli no on a part set it’s an exit timer not an exit terminator (set by closing a final exit point) meaning it will give a 30 second count down then set. On a full set it won’t arm till you physically open and close the exit device.
@@alarmassist Thanks for explaining, I kinda guessed the loud noise was for the purpose of demo on your video with the PIR being face down, but just wanted to re-confirm.
I notice (and have heard other people complaining about) the LCD display times out before the exit arm timer has completed so you don't see the status. Can the display be woken up by a key press without affecting the sequence? Have they fixed this issue with subsequent firmware releases?
Hi Joe, Very Useful video Just wondering, can you setup the system zones etc before screwing/installing the door/window and PIR sensors? It may make my life easier if I was to set each individual door/window sensor one by one so I know it is working the way you demonstrated on your video (as you may have already gathered I am a novice at this) Hope my question makes sense and Thank you in advance
f alickolli Thanks for watching yes you can but leave the system in the engineers menu otherwise you’ll keep setting it off as it will register as a tamper fault

No the door chime will always go off when the doors open unless turned off!
Hello, what settings should I use for part arm to go on on the front and back door? Thanks so much.
Do we have an engineer to attend Thor help and how much will cost

I always have them set as if someone was reuturning to the house but its down to personal prefereance. they can be set to guard.

Entry should activate in part arm?
Entry is preset as guard in part arm needs changing in attributes

it shouldn't do that it should arm and if you preset the timer via control timers it should be on a delay which you can set
Hi. Could you do a video on how to set part arm to a silent count down please? Thank you.
hey this has to be done in zone setup and select which zone i.e 1 or two and you can change through there

how do i activate alarm
Do you mean set it or set it off?

@@alarmassist That's great. Thanks again
My zones only go up to zone 8
depending on system you may need expander to create more zones which can be programmed to be wireless as well
are the louder tones coming from the keypad, or the panel?
Panel has an internal sounder
@@alarmassist yeah but is the 'double beep' type sound coming from the panels speaker or the keypad
After all programming is finished before fitting panel lid you move commissioning jumper back across .
3:54 I like this sound
How do you reduce the entry time before alarm activates?
It’s under timers in area settings
