LITERALLY right after that,Po fights him and Tai Lung quite undoubtedly, knocked Po out for him to get the scroll But no,moment he got it,he lost the sole purpose of his entire life that he firmly believed in,his destiny,was for some empty scroll and for him to be replaced by a fat panda.......it was only reasonable he'd lose to Po at that moment

Shifu was a villain for abusing tai lung with dreams and train him extremely hard till his bones crack,only to know his dreams is impossible to achieve and oogway pretty much ignored his hardwork because of his evil thoughts,shifu was the real villain here

Yeah, that spinoff is a Money bag waiting to be found. Just make an alternate universe movie that focuses on Tai Lung. This time he wouldn't start attacking innocent civilians, but he would come close because of the civilians making fun of him for not being worthy of the dragon scroll despite being a student of master shif and fall into depression instead. Then Oogway would be attacked and kidnapped along with a ton of civilians. Tai lung would first be reluctant to help and would then realise and come to the conclusion that he doesn't need a stupid scroll nor a stupid title such as the "dragon warrior" to protect the valley of peace and it's citizens and rescues them after a badass fight. Tai lung is still cold to Oogway when Oogway reveals that it was all a test to see how Tai lung would react to being denied the scroll and if he'd be able to see the picture. Oogway was testing his mental strength since he already proved his physical strength. Then the movie ends with Tai lung's coronation as the dragon warrior infront of the citizens of valley of peace. There would also be many reference like that of shen and cameo of po, tigress and like wise.
