Man i've waited so long for some footage of his solo live material. The emotion put into this is off the wall, such an honest performance i've got endless respect for this guy. The visuals in this are cool aswell.
The build of this show is amazing, it starts out very bare and raw and by the end it's thick and beautiful and I love it. Fantastic job Dave, you are a legend
And if I had some kind of need, but if the thing I need is the thing I've got, then I could look inside of me and find the thing that can't be took or bought
There are 5 people out there who have absolutely NO HEART. I can't believe he got through "Laughing Hieroglyphic" without crying. What a beautiful and brave performance!
Great job Mr. Guy Warner on the filming and awesome post effects! Great Job Sara for booking AVEY TARE!!!! Dave is the best, such an amazing artist and a truly wonderful dood!! Totally wish I was in Bmore for that one. xo Taejon xo
P.s Please come to england! We came to see Aco in eastbourne in may and i'll go anywhere to see Avey play live i'm gunna try and see if enough U.K fans can band together and pay for a trip. respond to this comment if you're interested! x
So glad I got to see him during this tour, and even talked to him after the show about his gear. Good times! Also after his show in DC, a crackhead outside asked me for a cigarette and literally yelled "CRACK!" at the top of her lungs with such amazing sustain when I gave her one. It's almost like she was beckoning her fellow crackheads to come grab a cigarette. Oh, DC.
i saw him live when he was going around with eric copeland and it sounded exactly like this, the vocals sound so weak, all he needs is some fucking compression on the mic and you could actually hear his awesome voice
really hate the effects the editor of this video put over the footage, they seem really forced and irrelevant in terms of the aesthetic that avey puts forth on this album, they really just intrude on the intensity of the performance. avey rules regaurdless.
I cry every time i hear laughing hieroglyphic. So beautiful. His vocals are incredible.
Lauging Hieroglyphic is one of the most beautiful songs I know
veramente

is it ok that we forget? the natural way.
so insightful.
“Why’m i crying? Shouldn’t I be content with what i’ve got? And i seek dimes, or am I denying... myself that something that i’d enjoy if i’d acquire “
And if I had some kind of need, but if the thing I need is the thing I've got, then I could look inside of me and find the thing that can't be took or bought
Avey is a creative genius. perfect performance.

I'm obsessed with this video right now
His vocals are spot on here
You're right, which is honestly atypical for live Animal Collective.
Can't thank the makers of this enough for uploading it. Fantastic.

Yoda in the background scared the shit out of me.
I think the very first sample also got used at the beginning of summertime clothes, but not totally sure
how is he getting those sounds out of a moog realistic
Prob from his Elektron boxes (monomachine and octatrack)
hey if theres more (which i know there is) please post the entire set!
Laughing Hieroglyphic @ 16:32
I think the effects are sort of nice
Death Raga
I think they are inobtrusive, pretty and add to the music. It's hard to succsusfully pair two types of stimuli but this was good I thought.
@dylan11dc Agreed.
Is there an MP3? I wish a set from his tour was released somehow so I could buy it.

Imagine paying to see Avey and he plays for not even 30 minutes and doesn't touch a guitar.
