I have heard that when Slipknot would tour with other bands (not Knotfest), Slipknot always had to close the show because the other bands were like, 'no way are we going on after Slipknot'....once you see Slipknot perform...all other bands should just pack up and go home.
@@satanictaffy That's sorta half true. Basically the band's first huge break/exposure was Knotfest 99. They were opening for Coal Chamber, which was a bigger band at the time and also signed to the same label as Slipknot, TLDR is Slipknot played and it completely DESTROYED to the point where the audience just wanted more Slipknot and it seriously pissed Coal Chamber off.

Slipknot was the band that got me into metal music when I was a child. Now even more than a decade later still my favorite metal band of all time.
I’m 50 now but it was Slipknot that really got me into metal, Jinjer are having a similar effect now transforming people to music they wouldn’t have normally listened to. I still listen to all sorts of music but Slipknot and Jinjer are my go to bands now🤘🤘🤘

Corey is 8. Joey Jordison was 1 and was the drummer, but left the band several years ago. The current drummer is Jay Weinberg, the son of musician Max Weinberg. You might remember Max and the Max Weinberg Seven from late night TV.

Max Weinberg is also the drummer for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Jay is actually insane on drums, and he seems like a really chill dude off stage.
On the album, it was Corey doing the falsetto singing on the chorus, but live it's usually Clown that does the backup vocals. In total, they've got a dj, keyboard, vocals, drum kit, 2 guys on percussion kits (with kegs, not trash can), 2 guitars, and bass.

Throughout their career Slipknot has had two different people playing the traditional drum kit. The band started with Joey Jordison on drums. He left the band when he was no longer able to play due to leg issues, I believe. He was then replaced by Jay Weinberg, who is the drummer on this song. Jay is the son of Max Weinberg, the drummer for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. This is probably why he sounds so good. Clown is the one who mainly plays the percussion drums and beats on the keg. Chris Fehn also played percussion drums before he left the band and was replaced with a still unknown touring member called Tortilla Man. Hope this information helps out.

Yeessss IOWA to me is still the best album and wish they would do like a IOWA pt 2 but this song to me sounds like it could be from IOWA which is why i love this song so much.

The drummer changed after the album all hope is gone. Joey jordison was the original drummer, and Jay Weinberg has been the drummer since .5 the gray chapter, so he's the drummer on this song. Also the numbers aren't based on when they joined the band. The original 9 members each chose the number they wanted (0-8). The new members (drummer and bassist) do not have numbers

I was at the show it was King 810, Korn, Slipknot headlined. Was for their grey chapter album so 1 album ago. It was in Madison Wi and we followed a ambulance through bumper to bumper traffic so we could fly across town to not be late for the show. My favorite show to date was korn and slipknot co-headlining

Yeah ... I had tix to their last US tour that didn’t happen due to some “visa issues” nonsense. Had to get a refund. Then COVID hit ... can’t wait till they swing by again when this is all said and done.

Slipknot has 9 members. Their original bass guitar player; Paul Gray; sadly passed away. Then they got a new drummer. After the 4th album.
After the fifth album Chris Fehn tried to sue a few other members. Obviously they decided to fire him. They replaced him with “Tortilla Man” for their 6th album.
Slipknot has had there main lineup since maybe mid 90s to 2011 sumwhat, there original lineup consisted of corey, shaun "clown", Paul grey, Sid , Joey jordison, Craig , Mick, Chris, James. The only members gone are joey jordison the original drummer he got fired and replaced with Jay weinberg. Paul grey passed away in 2010 he got replaced. Chris left band 2yrs ago he claimed he wasn't getting fair share of pay in band he got replaced with tortilla man.
Korn supported slipknot on a tour a few years ago. Watched it in Manchester uk. Absolutely fucking amazing 😁🤟🏼

The drummer of this song was Jay Weinberg, son of Max Weinberg, the drummer of Bruce Springsteen and the Conan O Brien show. He joined in 2014. The original drummer was Joey Jordinson. His number was #1. There’s also two percussionists. Shawn Crahan “Clown”, and the “tortilla man”. He took Chris Fehns place, who was the guy with the Pinocchio mask.

i’m not sure what their largest international crowd was, but i know the Knot has played shows with up to 98,000 people here in the states. y’all need to watch the Spit it Out live at Download video, that will give you a good idea of the kind of crowd-drawing power they have. and the control Corey has over that crowd is just 🤯

Korn and Slipknot toured together in 2014. I was fortunate to see that go down, at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. Both bands play arenas for sure; touring separately and together.
