Before you start sewing do you place the sticky side of vinyl face down ow face up on the shirt?

How do you set your machine to sew all the way through

There’s no way to set up the machine, the design has to be created/ digitized so that it sews all the way through

I know for sure if using a ricoma em1010 for it to sew all the way through you have to put it on automatic automatic, but if you need it to stop to apply the vinyl or fabric you should put it on automatic manual for it to stop after each step in the process
