There is just something comforting about the sound of a diesel engine. Tomorrow, I will trade in my 2011 2,0 TDI Passat Estate for a 2018 1,6 TDI and having heard the sound of that modern engine (much more quiet and regular than my 2011 one) and have test driven it, it just gives me pleasure. I drive a diesel not because I have to (only do about 12000km per year) , but because I want to.
Yes it is. 8 years and 260000km, timing belt, tires, brake pads, oil changes and 1 shock absorber. DM flywheel starts making little noise, but that is because it towed a trailer most of the time. It will also need a VVT and a O2 sensor in the near future. And a battery :))
@@faircars7081 You still have original ? My Passat is 5 years old and my battery sounds low in cold weather. Sometimes i get error messages too because of low cranking voltage.

Я думал только у нас в России такой ерундой занимаются, а нет в Европе тоже. У нас некоторые уникальные люди и по 4-5 раз греют свечи
Frumos , bravo
good car
My 2011 B7 Passat had its Original battery as well, I had to change it last winter... as it wouldn't start at -15c.
Is it reliable?

@@faircars7081 not too bad
Good to know that clutch is still holding up even after hauling trailers at this mileage!
Battery sounds a bit low.
It's the original one, 8 yrs old

@@Mickytdi It works every time, no problem. Started even after 4 days at -10. Next winter will die probably 😂
