What a fun video! You really kept it moving along and included lots of great angles/perspectives on the giant equipment.

Visited No. 9 coal mine. Fascinating. Excellent educational tour. And Yes: My home is heated with Anthracite. Much more heat efficient & dependable than natural gas. Power-goes-out, I still can heat my home. Coal. America's Energy by American Workers!

Love the video! If you’re back in this area sometime, and are looking for “trendy coffee”, check out Lancaster City. Tons of great coffee. My personal favorite is Passenger, though you can’t go wrong with Copper Cup, Square One, or Prince St either.

I go to school in reading. Learning about the local anthracite history is what got me into mining. After I get my gen Ed's done, I'm planning on going to school for mining engineering. Cool video. Also, Harrisburg is kind of a lame ass city. But then again, so is reading.

There's no Anthracite in Reading lol That's 30 miles North.

@@Most_Trustworthy_Weasel I live close to reading but used to frequent the anthracite patch in the summertime with my family. We would go to the number 9 mine in the summer becouse the mine was 56 degrees all year round. I would still count it as local history though becouse all the towns in berks County sprung up due to the steel industry were reliant on the presence of coal and iron in the area. I live in a town where the mill outlived its competitors in the early 1800s becouse of its switch to coal.

Welcome to Anthracite Region, go visit the smaller Companies, so w of them have been on the same strip of mountain for 30 years and they run the equipment whenever they want.

I fit up and weld the main beams on the revolving frames to construction excavators. I'd love to see the main beams on these massive mining excavators so bad.

They pretty much forced all of those houses up the road to sell out. They where cracking the foundations and opening up old workings when they would blast. It was a nitemare. Trust me I know since one of those houses was mine

Good video for the Mtv crowd I guess...not for heavy equipment geeks. Choppy editing, music over the sound of the engine = outta here!

Interesting video…… enjoyable to watch but would have preferred to video on the deeper excavations of the second half of this video!!! Also why no deep excavation SAFETY signs on the road where machine was digging…. 🤔😒

Can't stand the ridiculous editing - 1-2 second clips is nauseating - show the machines working at normal speed in longer clips and you'll get more engagement with viewers. Also, explanation of what is being done and why would be a significant improvement. I've tried to watch your channel a few times but always get irritated - seem most of these vids are purely for marketing. RUclips isn't Instagram - need longer content.
