Saudações do Brasil. Conheci seu canal e estou adorando. Muito obrigado por tudo! Em breve eu terei um dobsoniano de 8" pretendo adquirir uma plataforma equatorial motorizada e fazer EAA e astrofotografias rápidas.
I'm really enjoying and appreciate you sharing this information. I've got my eq platform ordered for a dob 10 inch. Continuing research on what else I need. Is your equipment list in the description everything you use for eaa? I thought I remember you using a reducer, as well.
Yes, at description i have the equipment. Will add the reducer now: TS Optics 0.5x Focal Reducer on Astroshop (click on the link and copy & paste the product NUMBER to their search bar): : 2" Version - NUMBER: 12140 1,25" Version - NUMBER: 33416 www.astroshop.eu/?affiliate_id=KeepitsimpleAstronomy
great video Tiago. I agree with you about the Dobsonian telescope. I was told also very early on that you could not image with a Dob. However as you pointed out it can be done very well with the right set up. Like you I have the images to prove it. Thanks again for a very informative video. Clear skies.
Hello Tiago, I do EAA with an apochromatic refractor of 360 mm focal length and 60 mm aperture. I have a Zwo Asi 183 MC camera and I take good wide field images. Now I would like to see smaller planetary nebulae, that's why I'm thinking of buying a camera with a smaller sensor to make them look bigger and better. Do you think this will work? According to Astronomy Tools, the field of view is narrower with a smaller sensor camera and you might be able to see it just fine. With 183 the Dumbbell nebula and the Helix go very well, but the Ring already looks very reduced. I await your advice to do this at EAA. What do you think? Thank you so much!!!!! By the way, your videos are very good!!
what matter is the pixel scale and with that camera and telescope you're fine, not oversampling or undersampling, you're around 1.7. To watch better going deeper in the sky you need aperture. That's the reason you see with refractors wide fields and not faint PN. You need aperture which a newtonian has for a better price. With 2,4 pixel size you'll be oversampling for sure but then you can bin or use a focal reducer with the newtonian. Buying a new camera to zoom in the refractor isn't worth it IMO.
Some Very Useful Tips. I use Sharpcap Free Version for My Astro. Any Tips Of The Live stacking. When I use the Histogram stretch option it shows You need To pay For It! And When Im live stacking, I don't See The Exposures Build up on the Screen?
Hi Tiago. Nice video, very interesting, especially that a tablet or smart phone can be used with minimal accessories. I have iOptron Az Mount Pro which is Alt Az go to. Will EAA be possible without a dedicated Equatorial mount?
Hi thank you for this video. I have mak 102/1300 observing planets and Moon, I think it's hard to do EAA with it but one day I will try. I have focal reducer but I don't have any camera yet.
Dobsonian is actually better for EAA, since it is much more powerful than refractors and SCT with enormous focal length. 15” dob on platform will do EAA in minutes, which APers produce for 1-2 weeks.

Bem-vindo Daniel. É um prazer ter você aqui e parabéns pelo magnífico 8".
Obrigado Tiago. Can you tell me what do you use for tracking, please? Thanks and great videos! :)

Thanks Ray. You know that through the best way: doing it. And it's grateful.

You can do it manually, moving the vertical lines. No problem, does the same.
Way to encourage the community. Excellent video. Very well executed.
You understand me very well Garnett 🙂👍
is there any possible way to do astrophotography with my dobsonian? Or only EAA?
As long as you have tracking and an astro camera you can do it easy
Hi Tiago. Nice video, very interesting, especially that a tablet or smart phone can be used with minimal accessories. I have

Yes yes. You can do it! Worth it.
@@DobsonianPower thank you! Time to order a ZWO.
Thank you. 👍🏻
I agree with you 100%

I forgot, I have eq2 mount with AR motor
Yes, you just need that camera to start enjoying it 👍
What will EAA be like with a 72mm refractor and tracking? Will i be able to see galaxies
Yes, depending on the quality of the refractor and camera. A newtonian is better for small and faint dso though
@@DobsonianPower thank you😀
@@DobsonianPower ended up buying the virtuoso 150gti as you suggested, no problems with ASI camera focus right?
@@jonathanastro no problems. congrats!
A Session of EAA is so cool. 😀
Yes it is!!

That's it. Many people didn't realize it yet 🙂👍
Thanks man!!!!
👍👍
where is the video of eaa with a phone?
There's no software right now that does live stacking with a phone. I'm waiting.
