By FAR the most underrated WW song. Half of the community seems to despise it for some reason and I can't for the life of me understand why, it's legitimately one of the most beautiful things Will has ever made.
i can see why, it definitely had to grow on me. i originally disliked ot because it sounds a bit too poppy, like with the clapping/snapping and the background chorus near the end put me off and i avoided, but it has grown on me.

as someone who has ADHD, listening to music i would like to add to a playlist is very hard for me, because i always need a distraction, but then i don't pay attention to the lyrics when i do have a distraction, watching your videos has helped me so much, i like seeing the little animations while seeing the lyrics at the same time, thank you so much for posting videos like this, i'm a huge fan of will woods and i want to explore his music more, and it's been a whole lot easier with your videos, so again, thank you!!
I'm Autistic (maybe ADHD as well but I'm not sure) and I get the same thing!! I don't think I've ever sat through a lyric video before apart from these!
I’ve thought about this song for a while and i think it’s talking/singing about the conflict that many mentally ill people have with wanting to get better and having more opportunities to live and not just survive as a human being and feeling like they have to stay exactly as they are because their mental illness/illnesses telling them that they have to stay suffering because if they don’t then everything that they’ve felt and told other people, no matter how painful and/or life threatening/consuming it is, if they get better it means that they were never mentally ill in the first place. As a mentally ill person i can tell you how upsetting that feeling can be. But i promise anyone reading this far, that it is just your mental illness lying to you like it has been for a while, and getting better doesn’t make you selfish and it doesn’t mean you were guilting or manipulating your loved one, family and friends into caring for you. They love you, and i promise it can get better. It’s slow, and sometimes it hurts and sometimes it doesn’t feel like you’re getting anywhere, but *it does get better*. You *are* loved and, for the people with OCD (because this isn’t talked about much) there is therapy to help you with your OCD and you are *not* a horrible person.
