God, the mix of Hand Me My Shovel, Im Going In really caught me off guard, but lord was it welcomed. This dude is an insane scientiest in the field of music
Personally i think its more about Will (presumably the protagonist) losing his identity in 2012 (self-/2012) and going on a journey to search for it through planning to kill himself so everybody else can remember who he was (cotards solution) looking at other peoples identities and the possibility of being an imposter of himself (mr capgras) and going insane trying to dig deeper (the song with five names/hand me my shovel) he then attempts to create a new identity for himself to avoid total insanity (dr sunshine) but then suddenly remembers who is (-ish)
It would suit someone who is good at disguises and impersonation. So good in fact, that he forgets his true identity, and cycles through old acts as he struggles to find his true self and becomes increasingly erratic and unstable. Perhaps he commits a murder or two as reality meets fantasy and he can't cope, and he as his cop identify slowly figures out he is the killer. Kind of Fight Club, a Scanner Darkly, and that one episode of Criminal Minds in a blender. Twist ending is optional, I think the drama alone could carry it. Hope this helps :)

And sure, after getting home, I promptly passed out on the floor and terrified tf out of my little brother because he thought I'd died.. But it was defo worth it. I even got an A at the end of the semester, lol.

You can actually string together Capgras, Sunshine and Cotard's (in this exact order), the instrumental section of Capgras is pretty much the same as Sunshine's meaning you can put it right before either of "when did I become afraid of the dark" sections. Sunshine straight up has Cotard's intro in the end
That’s what I love about this album. Everything feels so cohesive. Was so cool finding how many songs had lyrics from Hand Me My Shovel. And even aside from that, Dr Sunshine and Cotard’s Solution share a verse, and of course Self- and -Ish needs no explanation.
