I think the reason why people consider season 4 to be apart of the show's golden age and put it over season 1, 2, 3 or just the entire pre-movie era is because they found a lot of episodes that are fantastic and are on par with the first three seasons like shell of a man, the lost mattress, Krusty towers, dunces and dragons and so on.

As a kid I used to get so pissed at the Selling Out ending because like you said there is no way Krabs would buy the KK back for full price. Its really annoying when the show pulls stuff like that only to make sure nothing changes in the world. Great video, personally I would have put Squidtastic Voyage, The Lost Mattress and Krabs Vs Plankton higher because I find them both to be some of the funniest out of season 4. Wishing You Well is one of my favorite post movie episodes but I see where you are coming from on that one
unpopular opinions: Have you seen this snail: I think have you seen this snail is an top 3 episode of Post Movie Spongebob (seasons 4-5). I Can see why people can see this episode as garbage. But for me its great. Yea spongebob is mean and cruel to gary but after opening he is trying to get him back. I found some good jokes like squidward scream (Can be seen as filler tho) and patrick milk scene (can be seen gross but not The splinter level) I like the drama and the song is perfecto. I found the episode interesting but i gotta say, Spongebob is kinda annoying, same with patrick. Squidtastic voyager: Yea this episode is kinda overhated. The plot was good for its 2006 standards but in 2024 its really overdone. I found this episode interesting and kinda funy.
