- Back in the barn for another group of ewes lambing. These ewes are my very first homegrown ewe lambs that I kept back last spring. This is their first lambing experience, and I have to say, so far they're kicking butt! Good moms, only a bit crazy... Looking back at the footage, it appears I have become a bit of a 'hover mother' to my sheep. I need to let them do their thing and BACK OFF!

Your videos now 2022 compared to 2018 have really improved!! The music was really distracting I thought!! Love your channel so much!!❤🇨🇦❤🇨🇦❤
Im watching through all the old videos, and Im struck by how endearing it is to see Sandi stare at the camera for a long time without saying anything 😅 she seems so much more professional now, and this is like watching a sweet baby figuring out how to work their new toy. 🥹 I love Sandi!
Watching in 2021, Sandis herd has developed into such an incredible group of happy Sheep, generations of good breeding and husbandry/wifery ( a good husband too).
Hard work, mental and physical, pays dividends!
Love the lambing! I didn't know this until I started watching your channel, I think it's been like 2 weeks now? Tfs! Please stay safe and sending hugs to you and yours 🤗🙏💜
Sandi, your vlogs are a life saver, on soooooo many levels. Thank you. You are amazing and very appreciated.
This helped me a lot......I 'think' my 2 ewes are due at the end of the month and this mama is nervous. Thank you! Happy Lambing.
You can do it!! Good luck!!
‘Loose in the caboose!’ Haaaaa!!!
Hi Shelly, do you use dog for herding? I like such videos and appreciate farm animal lovers like you.
This was an eye-opener because I never thought about the shock of having a first lamb. I wonder if all animals are that freaked out. Just assumed animals just had the instinct. I'm glad you were there for her
Definatly not. My grandparents keep a couple sheep an i can remember 4 first time lambers that all just spit their lambs out with no promblem, and all of them loved their lambs although our last one had to little milk for 2 quiet big lambs and kinda rejected one but she loved the other with all her heart so yeah. It differs between animals: some are naturals while others are just dead nervous about it and stuff
When I was in grade school (1960s) we bottle fed using the old glass coke bottles - in central South Dakota... I also got in the wool bags to pack the wool down. Then my grandfather sold the farm.
I started school in 1959 & remember those Coke bottles well! City girl from Louisiana! We jumped in the bags of raked leaves to pack instead of wool.
Love what you do . Awww, that sweet little lamb face.
I really love what you do guys!!!Thanx for your advice!!!I am expecting ewes to start lambing in July....I am super excited!!!!
Those babies are so adorable
I'm amazed at some of these comments. Some are very rude. These blogs are meant to help educate. To show what works & hasn't for Sandi.
I personally LOVE them. I LOVE how real it is. If you dont like it troll on by. STOP being mean to each other. STOP being mean to Sandi.
Sandi... keep up the good work you are rocking it!!!
I can see why you love these little guys.
You're so funny I love your videos 💜
You're so sweet! I'm studying this for a film script of all things. Thank you :)
Just adorable❤️
I truly appreciate just how much information you provide in layman's terms so I can understand exactly what you are talking about when ewes go into labor, I really do! This is so much better than Sheep 101. Sandi 101 is really more like a 300 level class!
So far, best comment: "loose in the caboose"!!! Holy Moly did I ever LOL!
You're amazing! Can I come and do an internship with you?? That would be the best!!
Much love (& Crush the haters!)
Hi Sandi, as usual, your work is really outstanding. a small comment; the music was a little loud
Thanks for the great videos. I know how hard it is with my sheep and goats trying not to interfere but not wanting to leave it till it's too late during labour. Then there is after when some mom's ignore the baby I never know how long I should wait before I intervene. I wait for lambing/kidding season all year but at the same time wish it would never come 😂
This reminds me of “Little Bo-Peep” & “Mary Had a Little Lamb” from Nursery Rhymes (1983)
'This is the rodeo...' LOL
Great way to get them to bond.
Unlike humans who have many months to prepare for the shock of having a baby, these lambs come around very quickly to taking care of a baby from what they just thought was a regular Tuesday (or whatever).
And how is she going to get that sheep and get it all the way up front? 😂 That is way too cool! Awesome.
Lambing never gets old. Was that black ewe the grandma of our Billy of today? 🐑🐑❤️❤️👍👍
This reminds me of A Christmas Romance (1994)
Adorable
Dear heavens, the music was killing me. Kept having to mute it. I hope you never play that in the barn.
So glad she quit doing that 😂
Wow, hard life! ❤️
Good job
I REALLY ADMIRE YOU ASSISTING THE EWES WITH THE BABIES...I ONLY WISH THAT I COULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO HELP WITH BIRTHING .
I'VE BEEN WATCHING ALOT OF VIDEOS BUT I WISH I WAS THERE HELPING.
HOPE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU SOON.
It really is amazing when you're not in panic mode. My favourite part is when mom sees baby for the first time and instantly bonds!
Love the video and info on this but the music is distracting!
Lovely vlog excellent sandi 👍👍From Pakistan 🇵🇰🇵🇰
How long did the first timer take to accept her lamb?
Hi from NB in Feb 2022
Nice 🤠
Hello Sandi,
Is there a reason why you separate moms and lambs from the flock?
Just for 24 hours so they can bond by smell and sound... lambs have very poor eyesight when they are first born, so they rely on these other senses. So I keep them close together.
I remember why I don't like summer lambing...flies. I freakin' hate fly's esp. all over cute baby lambs..
Clever sheep
damn those fly's covered baby before out sack

Black sheep had a white lambie. Is that common?
How the joint of net , please show me
Good assistance
Hey Sandi cute vlog
They give only one baby or twice
They usually have 2, but some of mine have had 6!
Sandi Brock your sheep are good girls cute sheep
great video! however the sound track is terrible, more stressing than the actual birth.
Oh God why did you do that? I mean what was the reason. YES THIS BOTHERS ME.
If I had a baby dragged out of me I’d be in shock too
Sheep are clever not stupid
I think she was pist at you pulling it out so fast instead of letting her push. You could see her staring off and a really mad face. lol. I couldn't look when she was stomping backwards.
I love botteling the baby cows I rescue
What accent is that? Canadian? I'm from Jupiter. Am Jupiternese. No I'm from England and can't tell which accent you're from.
Is lamb, a boy or girl⁉️

Dont your sheep go outside in green gras?it is the best for the animals, the meat and There health❤️
If she put them outside it would be a slaughter. The Coyotes would have a picnic all night. And more than likely not a single one would be unhurt.

Maaaaaaa
Why you just yankin on it?! I'm traumatized! I clicked the thumbnail just innocently wanting to see a baby goat get fed!
Welcome to the real world. The title was about sheep lambing.
@@blauespony1013 I didn't mean to see the actual birth! I thought they would just show the goat in distress for a lil bit, and then cut to feeding a baby goat. Shoulda put a warning idk
@@courtneybridge1427 As I said, the title is about sheep giving birth, so it is in the title. And every nature documentary has footage like that. There is nothing bad about it.
@@blauespony1013 I can comment how I want! Too graphic! Should have adult warning on vid!
@@courtneybridge1427 You can comment how you want. It does not make it any more necessary, because "GIVING BIRTH" was in the title. How do you think that process happens? How do you think humans give birth? Do you think, it is a clean process just because you only see it in movies?
And let me ask you one question:
Do you eat meat? Do you drink milk? Do you wear leather shoes? I hope not. Because the process of making your food is much more gruesome than this. Just because you don't see it, does not make it go away.
oh my that real nervous sheep needs a bigger pen to birth in so she wont keep stepping on the lamb! thats terrible!
Animals do that. A bigger pen would mean more room to run around and hurt herself, and be even farther away from the baby
@@jamiehartley4218 but what good is a small pen if they step on the newborns n injure them. pretty terrible
@@Lauren-vd4qe they step on newborns anyway, and will sometimes lay one them and crush them, even in a big pen. Rabbits will even stomp their babies. Some of us have been breeding animals for decades, we know what the best way to do things is
Music sucks honey.
