Honestly, once you find your groove, abd can consistently git the ball straight, stick with it. Make it your swing, own your swing and block out all the noise of 'expert coaches'. At the end of the day, it's the score that counts
Golf is way too rigid when it comes to swing instruction. I grew up in the baseball world and there is much more acceptance of youngsters finding their own swing stance and approach once they learn the basics. It carries all the way up to the majors. I'm dating myself, but compare a closed stance like Will Clark vs. a more open stance like Tony Gwynn. Both were excellent hitters, but looked completely different at the plate. I'm getting back into golf after a long time away and it seems there is still the same "you must do it this way" approach. No wonder so many people struggle to get really good at it. Kudos to Rahm for figuring it out for himself.
I saw another video where he describes why he has such a short backswing, it’s very interesting! His right leg is shorter than his left, but why is what makes that video interesting.

There is no one correct way to swing a golf club and make solid impact. Nobody would teach you to do what Scheffler does with his right foot through impact. He's ranked #1 in the world.
Yep, Jim furyk, Matt wolfe, fred couples, Jon rahm, scotty scheffler...if someone tried to "fix" their swings amd make them look conventional, it would have ruined them
There is nothing unique about his swing. He's just a fatter version on a Tonie Finau. Also, Jon is not pulling the club. No way can he generate that kind of clubhead speed by pulling the club with such a short backswing. He is a classic "hitter". He pushes the club by straightening the bent right arm.
Taking care of his family’s financial future isn’t selling out, it’s smart! The PGA demanded so much out of those guys with little reward! They now know they’re not the only game in town, so take better care of what you have left! More big names will continue making that jump if things don’t change!
Being 6' 2" and 220 Lbs might have something to do with his power. Imagine how light the clubs feel for someone like him.

This was probably pre-scheduled for release, but very ironic timing nonetheless lmao
😉

Man i hope youre well
Being uncomfortable in your swing is not fun. You should be comfortable and swing your swing.
Who needs superpower when you have 600 million dollars
He doesnt have a short backswing, he has a massive shoulder turn, it's just his arm swing thats short
His shoulder turn isn't massive.
This voice. Such. A. JAR
He does what every other person who wants to put as much energy as he can through the golf ball. That's it. That. Is. It.
I have a similar swing although not as good as him. Is it just me or is he lining up driver on the heel of the club?

Exactly. It's about impact.

He still has all the fundamentals correct.

Let’s take a moment and make golf apolitical
There is no superpower in swinging a golf club. None. Zero.
Yeah try break 70 on a demanding golf course... 99% in the world can´t do it 😄
