I honestly believe they take on the hardest projects. Everyone else just demos and starts new. They actually work with what they have which is way more complex.

Somehow there is a feeling of not much bang for the buck. The kitchen was a great improvement but the dining room and entry hall look cheap. The entry hall is cold, dingy, and uninviting --- quite depressing! I think I have seen this brother and sister duo before. As I recall they dunk everything in white paint.
Totally agree about the dining room . Chairs, too big and tacky, hide the beautiful fireplace. And that oversize wallpaper, my god...this is bad taste, sorry...
They took apart a 120 year old butler’s pantry?!? At least they reused everything. I couldn’t have done that, almost sac religious. All that workmanship… just couldn’t do it.
That wallpaper is really not my taste And overall the house has lost so much of its charm. To me this was a really unsuccessful remodel and I’m not saying this as an interior designer by somebody who is looking at something that was absolutely gorgeous and just needed a bit of paint and a bit of updating instead of owning things that have withstood the test of time for over 100 years
All of this designer's renovations are the same -- throw white paint on brick, and some dark color on the ceiling or the floors. Nothing special. The best room imao is the bar area, and it doesn't look very different.
Watching them destroy this house really pisses me off 😖🤬 They’re just terrible and should not be able to touch a historic home!! Edit: I can’t believe the show is called “Restored by the Fords” They don’t restore anything! They demolish everything good! 🤬
Sorry, but you guys ruined this beautiful old house by painting all that beautiful wood. After a few years, that paint job will be chipped and look worn out. You should have kept all the natural wood and brightened it up with paint colors on the wall. The styling isn’t a nod to the historic, it’s just gaudy. Ugh!
I cannot BELIEVE she destroyed that beautiful pantry. What is up with her, this isn't restoration. The wood stuck to the ceiling is rubbish. If modernizing was required, gloss black laqcuer on those doors. Or put the speakeasy in there with old bottles and shakers inside a burnished interior.

Ummmm I like the old home look better, the only thing I like in the new look is the dark floors and the added bathroom. They destroyed the period of that house. Ugh
I wish they wouldn't redo historic homes! They do a fantastic job doing modern , but its sad to destroy the historic wood and furniture.........
These people are TERRIBLE at preserving old house character while at the same time updating.
If you have an old house DONT HIRE that couple!!

Leanne is the interior designer on HGTV so far that I cannot feel the emotions from their clients seeing the result of the renovation.
Have to know Leanne Ford's design styles and inspiration to understand her interior designs.

Liked the kitchen, didn't like the DR wall paper, that's a lot of money for.just two rooms and as bath.
