yoongi's music is always about his internal dialogue with understanding class politics and not wanting to be rich but no longer being poor. he seems himself different than his reality and it gives him a bit of conflict, like has he given up his old idealistic beliefs? but it's always a fight against himself and how he feels about fame and wealth
but also bc I forgot to say this part but haegum means that he is speaking his truth in the only way he can bc he is somewhat restricted from saying it openly (due to korean and kpop culture and also culture in general that always prevents people from speaking their mind)
I love the explainations some of the others have commented, but I wanted to add on. The word Haegum is actually for a 2 stringed instrument, but Yoongi explained before that it means something different for him. Basically it means 'freedom from the forbidden'. I love it. It adds on to how the song is about freeing yourself from the shackles of conformity. It's probably my favorite song of his. You gotta listen to Amygdala, the 3rd one in the trilogy! It's more of him breaking free from his trauma he's experienced. It gets really deep. It's soooooo good.
Him using the same chopsticks signifies the part that even tho he criticizes capitalism and other such concepts in the end he has to eat with it because there's no other option left for him. He's just as trapped as we are in the this endless cycle. It's just that he doesn't hesitate to do it even if it makes him look like a hypocrite
Also!! Smoking is heavily criticized among the " idol fans" but he showed himself smokin in the video 😩😩👌 he's setting himself free from these people who police his behaviour even tho he's an adult
Nice. You read fast to get all of that without pausing. We really don't mind you pausing. Agust D can get deep and bars usually mean multiple things, but you do it well and seem to appreciate it. That google translate is the worst ever on speaking. LOL. He says "Higgem" all through it. Don't know how they get pronunciation bots as bad as they are. These first two are similar in they both have two parts of himself always at battle... the part that wants the freedom from being controlled by money or greed and the part that wants the freedom that comes from having money and power. But in both of these, he always chooses to end the one in power and stay grounded. That's my interpretation anyway. The third is the best though. And... have you done Amygdala next of course.
