Hello! I am a beginner scripter and I was wondering, in your game "Empty Group Finder," how did you script to check if a group is closed or not? As both the groups API and the GroupService:GetGroupInfoAsync() do not return any value related to a group being closed. Thank you!
You have to use the HTTPService to send a request to a proxy that does an HTTP GET request to the Roblox group API, from there it will get a JSON response from which you can parse things like it being closed or locked and other info related to the group.
@@jamesmann260 ooohhhhh ty i just checked the api and the v2 version did not include the "isLocked" boolean, only V1. well, the same way, tysm! I just saw ur game here on yt like a year ago or something and now that i wanted to learn httpservice and roblox apis i remembered that game and was trying to see if i could recreate that but better (like if a group DOES have an owner and/or the group is closed the system would skip that group for a whole day and try again, like a temporary blacklist function) edit: just realized roblox doesnt allow httprequests from the service, but i alr figured it out

and also like task.spawn the system so i could try to use all the 500 requests per minute roblox offers for us
