I am heartbroken at first, because of the situation of my childhood hero. But I realized even though he is physically struggling to stand still, his willpower is so strong, and he is not giving up. That gives me chills. Always respect and love Marty and doc.

A truly good man who's values and integrity are not always saw from the movie industry, I grew up watching Michael as a kid it is so sad to see this horrible disease at work .
His timing is still perfect. Comedy is not easy and sometimes when you think you have a killer, delivered at the wrong time can flop like a dead fish. Timing is critical. The fact that this guy continues to fight publicly is heroic as Hell and my hats off to him.

What a nice man. My sister has early onset Parkinson's and I have seen what it has been doing to her over time. It affects everything in your body. What Michael has done to help has been a gift to everyone suffering with this disease. We need a CURE. Please support and pray for those working to find a cure for this horrible disease.

So surprised at how well he's able to present. My father had Parkinson's and wouldn't have been able to speak so well or stand. Love seeing his sense of humor still able to shine. My father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about 10 years ago but passed away before it got real bad. He got it from Agent Orange from his time in Vietnam during the war. Watching somebody you love go through it sucks. Michael J Fox is one hell of a man/actor. So glad he received this honor. He deserves it!!!

Dear Michael, I saw my mum deal with Parkinson’s for many years and she was always a wonder to the doctors back in the 70s. Your speech reminded me of her humour and strength through the adversity. God bless you and thank you for promoting the awareness that Parkinson’s is out there. I have met several people since mum and behind the shaking is wisdom, humanity, intellect and amazing humour. I idolized this guy when I was a teenager. So much so, that I wore a shirt and tie (and sometimes a sweater vest) to school every day when I was in 8th grade...just like Alex P. Keaton. I grew up extremely poor, we didn’t have much. We lived in travel trailers in rural Florida. We didn’t get to go to Disney World or to the movies but we were gifted a vcr by someone that felt sorry for 3 little boys with nothing to do. The one movie they gave us was Back To The Future. I have probably watched that movie 1,000 times. Not exaggerating, literally 1,000 times. It makes me sad to see him going through this but he has found a way to save others someday. A great actor but an even better human being.

Michael J. Fox has always been one of my favorite actors. From Family Ties to Mighty Ducks I enjoyed every minute of screen time he graced us with.
I was heart broken when I heard that he has Parkinson’s and that he would be stepping off the screen. It felt like a part of the future that I was so looking forward to was suddenly cut out of the picture. Every time I watch something he is involved in I remember many beautiful memories and the sadness of how his career was cut short.
I was thrilled the first time I saw him come back to the stage with promises that he would start to be more involved, no longer hiding. Not many people knew much about Parkinson’s before MJ Fox and he has had a significant hand in changing that. He absolutely deserves this award.
