A retractable leash is good if you're like me and have an energetic breed (mal/gsd) and a small yard. One day he ran out the house when we were bringing shopping in and bit a man's ankle. It fortunately wasn't a serious bite and the man was okay, physically at least. My mum was distraught and kept apologising. She took responsibility and decided it was best to put the dog to sleep because she couldn't be sure it wouldn't happen again and couldn't bare the thought of it being a child. We went on to own two more dogs a few years later and they're absolute sweethearts who listen to and respect my mum, we made sure to learn from our mistakes and take responsibility for them. Her being so dismissive of a child being bitten is very insulting to me. Edit: I do want to add that our terrier was muzzle trained and never went outside without it on. I wondered why he "barked" that way. But if you harass a jaw-muscle mommy pittie to her breaking point, especially if she's only got three legs and can't get away like a four-legged dog, then it makes total sense. :/ Glad Caper survived! ❤ But it's so dangerous to allow a dog to be so antagonistic. Even if they're "too small" to "do damage", the dog can cause big dangers for themselves, just like with the pittie. Obviously you don't want your dog attacking others, but it's also so they don't bring ruin upon themselves. ❤️
Terrier with high energy & prey drive. Shocked? Don't be. When buying a pure bred dog, people really have to know the breeds history, precisely what the breed was used for and most importantly how those characteristics roll over when that puppy/dog soon becomes your pet.
Exactly. Lakies where bred to clear farms of foxes and other vermin in the lake district of UK. They are very independent and almost like cats in that respect. They are possibly the hardest dog to train.
How can you let a dog get so bad? Even with lesser to no discipline. I just wonder as this to me is not really possible for 7 years ? This means to me that this dog is neglected in terms of mental and physical stimulation. This is a terrier - needs work / sport at least 2h a day.

The way the owner is not listening and keep talking... Glad Cesar was very patient and professional to help her open her eyes and stop her defensive approach.
She left her annoying Kapper with poor pitty 😢 And gets all on Cesar's case because her dog looks scare 😅 Glad she got it. She truly loves lil Kapper. ❤
7:55 I got upset because she knows he needs to learn how to behave. His tail probably went down also because he knows he's not in control anymore. That control allowed him to think it was ok to attack a child.
I'm sitting here thinking about how a dog perceives a skateboard. Humans know that it has revolving wheels which grind over the concrete and make a loud, grating noise. A dog probably feels that a strange male is approaching fast and is emitting a mean, roaring noise (sounds like a lion). With its keen hearing, it probably seems louder and more grating to the dog than it does to us. Also keep in mind that the wheels are very close to the dogs ears. Worse, the strange male is headed right toward its beloved owner, whom it has to protect. In this video, when Cesar picks up the skateboard and carries it, Caper learns that it's not an attacker of some kind, it's just another inanimate thing.
My dog HATES skateboards, steps and skeelers. Bikes are fine, but this she just doesn't understand. The reaction is exactly the same as dogs running next to a bike. They are entering her 'bubble' unnaturally quickly, and it is threatening to her
It's interesting that when a dog is misbehaving, some owners just shout the dog's name repeatedly. I wonder why they do this as it obviously has no effect.
My parents are those owners, shouting repetitively, never training the dog, and they always tell people they ended up with bad dogs when they have great, very smart dogs- they are just bad dog owners. The two I’m speaking of are larger dogs, very active when they aren’t active at all, and they behave way better with one of us adult kids and grandkids than when around them. Night and Day and the adult kids and grandkids never have to yell or keep asking for what we want from them. They just get loud, and make the situation ten times worse.
I have made great progress with our labradoodle/border collie mix. His aggression has been cats lately he Caper was in this video. My husband however wasn’t on board with these teachings until he started seeing results. Now he’s starting to come around too.😂❤😊
people who see animals as some big repository for all their hugly, snugly emotions and there fore treat them as some sort of breathing toy should not be allowed to own animals. she should buy a big snuggly doll , think how much she would save in chow alone.
I feel for the dog having to live with such a lady - how dare she question Cesar about her dog looking afraid..... maybe she will feel better the day the dog is put down. Once again it is the owner and not the dog. This dog is very intelligent and obedient.
So a dog taken away from his mother about 4 weeks too soon. For small dogs, 12 weeks minimum. At 8 weeks they are still nursing. Stupid breeders selling fast to make $$$$. And her for buying it.

The dog is acting up and she just calls its name like she expects the dog to know what she wants from it. You're not a mother scolding a human child.

I was hoping to see Caper together with her friend's dog after Cesar's intervention. I can only guess that relationship has also improved?
Thak you, Cesar, for all you do 🙏❤🙏
Amazing as always Cesar! Loved the transformation!
Have a safe, healthy New Year! 🥳🎉
When we are too close to a problem it is too hard to see the solution
very smart dog!
I am protected from any negative energy from this video stay safe 🙏
wtf smh you might need therapy
Well done Leanne. You know what you did wrong, you learned from Cesar and you implemented his directions.
You have a peaceful soul, just keep working on your inner strength 💪 ❤👍🇬🇧🇷🇺
🎉🎉SALUDOS DON CÉSAR 🎉🎉🎉🎉GRAN PSICÓLOGO DE PERROS 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You should need to pass a set of stringent tests before you even get anywhere near to living with a dog. Yet another classic case of a humans lack of understanding and intellect, impacting a dog's behaviour.
letting a overactive dog with a pitboul is being very ignorant and not stopping the dog to attack
She is afraid to correct him .
People should take a test to determine if they have the mental capacity to own a dog….
Or have children...
@ yep 💯agree with too 🙌🏻
Write:".. dogs are not students, they are teachers..."!!!❤
The way the owner is not listening and keep talking... Glad Cesar was very patient and professional to help her open her eyes and stop her defensive approach.
Cesar pet owner too Amazing ! she its ready for any command
😄
"He's running away from me"
Cesear "who? Your boyfriend?" Lmao
She left her annoying Kapper with poor pitty 😢 And gets all on Cesar's case because her dog looks scare 😅
Glad she got it. She truly loves lil Kapper. ❤
7:55 I got upset because she knows he needs to learn how to behave. His tail probably went down also because he knows he's not in control anymore. That control allowed him to think it was ok to attack a child.
Great transformation - dogs are teachers! I still would not leave my dog in the backyard alone with him with no supervision!
It always amazes me how complicated yet simple dog behavior can be
That was an owner taking charge! Incredible job! She could be a dog trainer!

Very impressive ❤
So true
“Who,your boyfriend?”😂😂😂
You are responsible!
She knows hes like that tho why would she leave him unsupervised with another dog
I had a Welsh terrier, identical to this dog in looks and temperment. They are dogs that must have no doubt who is in charge 😊
Learn the breed before adopting them. It will help both you and the dog you want to adopt.
Esse cara é o bicho
what cute, good, boi- Caper is sweetheart-.
They’re bred for hunting . What do people expect???????
I feel for the dog having to live with such a lady - how dare she question Cesar about her dog looking afraid..... maybe she will feel better the day the dog is put down. Once again it is the owner and not the dog. This dog is very intelligent and obedient.
He respects Cesar...
So a dog taken away from his mother about 4 weeks too soon. For small dogs, 12 weeks minimum. At 8 weeks they are still nursing. Stupid breeders selling fast to make $$$$. And her for buying it.
UNBELIEVABLE SHE ACTUALLY TRIED TO CONFRONT CESAR OVER CAPER BEING "FEARFUL"! 😳 THIS WOMAN SERIOUSLY LOOKS MENTAL ON THIS EPISODE
Dog was way out of control to the point of aggression and totally neurotic. Saddest part of all is he barely needed direction and guidance and was turkey responsive. How sad.
"dont say anything, just walk along", she immediately starts talking,😮
Nice neighbor
She’s passing on her own traumas and insecurities to her dog. He’s so very intelligent.
