Which I only point out because jealously and envy are close enough to be translated from the same word in Japanese but to us English speakers, it's kind of easy to not connect jealousy with the 7 deadly sins the same way one would easily connect envy to that idea. The witch that is doing everything to Subaru is the witch of Envy, although in the sub, they sometimes call her the jealous witch, just for future reference.

Season 2 is good, but I prefer season 1 - this season gets a bit long-winded and convoluted and the absence of certain characters REALLY lessened my enjoyment of the show. We do get best boy Otto though.
I disagree this is the season that sold me on the show but I get it it's long and veey info dense and especially after reading the novels I see how much they still cut despite it being 24 episodes for the arc with many being 28+ min long
Season 2 was 10x better on web novel and and also the light novel, that arc 3, they simply surpassed it, but the work's charm is the narrative, the anime does not transmit or adapt that, and there was a lot of censorship and etc., Subaru in arc 4In the novel web it was very different and someone was very calculating and did things that don't appear in the anime
