Nottingham City

Nottingham is a city in central England’s Midlands region. It’s known for its role in the Robin Hood legend and for the hilltop Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, rebuilt many times since the medieval era. In the Lace Market area, once the centre of the world’s lace industry, the Galleries of Justice Museum has crime-related exhibits. Wollaton Hall is an ornate Elizabethan mansion with gardens and a deer park.

I had many a drink at Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem back in the 70's when I last visited Nottingham. And it's on my bucket list to have one more. This American absolutely loves that city and her people.

Nottingham is a nice city if you compare it to other Midlands cities and towns. In the entire Midlands region (east and west), I'll say only Stratford on Avon, Warwick and a few small towns are better than Nottingham but as a city it is definitely the best city in the Midlands even though it is going through a dire situation at the moment with shops closing
