Let me know what you guys think of this video. Do you think phones can already replace bigger and more expensive cameras or we'll have to wait a few more years for that? I'm definitely starting to shoot more on my iPhone, (but still bringing my camera with me, just in case 😂)
I think that in the age of digitally compressed online videos/ with the growth of streaming services ( like netflix), the iPhone has the potential to replace larger cameras. Also, with advancements in computational photography; I can see the dlsr market being non existent by 2030.

I think that the iPhone and many other camers are on a good point for having a point to shoot camera. An example is, if you go to work and u want to shoot some fogs in the winter you can do it so easily with the iPhone that's insane. It's a nice backup and a little nice to have in the pocket feature. It could never replace a real camera in my opinion. Did you used the normal camera app for the photos with automatic settings? :) Greets :)
Shoot in Cinematic Mode in 1080 and upscaled to 4K for RUclips ?

Exactly! that's what I usually say, people get caught up in any new release and rush to spend their money, but they don't have the dedication to learn and execute all the steps to extract the best they can deliver from it.

This is the proof of quality, that we don't need to use super ultra cameras to make such an great cinematic shots. Almost every new line smartphone are able to make great 4k videos in 60fps. Amazing video! And yes I think that you can get really great footage from an iPhone. I've been filming with the iPhone 11 myself this summer and was quite satisfied with the results, but I think the iPhone 13 Pro is on a whole new level! I might think about an upgrade soon! But still, the filming technique and your editing skills are even more important than your filming gear, it's really amazing what you achieved to get out of your iPhone 13 footage!

I think smartphones won't reach the quality of best cameras because of the limitation of optics and sensor size. But Iphone 13 is very impressive and is probably better than similar price cameras. I loved your video, the scenary, the composition and the images are just perfect. No camera or smartphone can replace the vision of the videographer.

@@ElClaptain Read my comment again. There are optic limitations you can't outpass with a small lens. Yes, the Iphone does an amazing work but full frame cameras with bigger lenses make it bettet.

I don’t think high end cameras will ever be replaced by phones, but I do think in 5 years from now an iPhone might be a close competitor to a dslr. Not only would it be much more simple for a beginner to get started, but the iPhone provides literally everything you need. The camera, editing software (iMovie), and the ability to post your creation to the internet. It’s a package deal that’s extremely portable and will be with you everywhere, ready to record even when you didn’t plan to. If they can perfect the issues with depth perception, I would probably buy it instead of a real camera

A big YES. If this was my vacation and you were my videographer, I would pay for this one. At the end of the day, its all about the CONTENT because even if you have a million dollar camera if there's no substance in your videos, nobody is gonna watch your next upload.
As for me, I will only use my iPhone for my vlogs for convenience. I dont have to think about battery and memory cards, etc. I won't worry if my phone gets submerged in water or get wet from the rain, so I can still shoot happy memories even when it's raining and all.
