Thanks Andy and thanks Alexseal , after 5 failed attempts with another very well product I managed to paint my Cherubini 48 Schooner in Black in the Florida sunshine and get a fantastic finish with just a roller !!!!!
for moving your old shop stuff, a container you can fill and drop by new shop to empty as you get time / space might be the most effective option. Are you going to add TotalBoat products to the distribution as well? Then someone with a larger project can get it all organized from you and have your input into which would suit their project.
Great news! Congrats. My daughter and I started the restoration of a 13' Whaler this weekend and we will be needing an off white for the exterior as well as "Boston Whaler Blue" for the interior. We have been watching your videos exclusively for this project and look forward to getting her into her own "first boat"!
Congratulations amigo!!! Your recommendations led me to Alexseal, which then led me to the local rep who was instrumental in my success (even got to attend the factory class!!!) and the product has exceeded my expectations. I painted my hull with Aqua Mist and it's GORGEOUS. The ability to wet sand and polish this product makes it easier for any inexperienced boat painter to come out with a beautiful finish, even if it didn't exactly go down that way :) I appreciate you and can't thank you enough for motivating me to go all the way with my restoration rather than a refresh.
Andy, I was literally just surfing Google to find a supplier for Alexseal. Colors I am considering: Cloud White 9132, Sahara Gold 1918, Sunstone Red 3971. Probably going with white. Full restore on a vintage Donzi. Not sure I can wait for you to get running, but I am sure I will have other boats to paint . . . and sourcing Alexseal for me has been and continues to be a painful experience. Everything sold separately, for example. No price comparability easily found. It's a perfect opportunity for someone with your passion to make a home run. Rock & Roll!
Congratulation. I recall my father starting a paint supply store back in the 1960's. His first space, like yours had 1 door in and same door out. Material handling very quickly became a huge issue. Business took off, but he moved every gallon of paint 4 times before it was out the door. Lease the end space except the kitchen, leave it attached to 2nd bay. Install a set of freight doors where the side windows now exist. Buy a pallet jack and you're set!!!
Nice move on the expansion of your business. I’m working on a 1979 Grady White Fisherman 20ft. Rebuilding the stringers, transom, and sole. The gel coat is off white cream colored. Keep up the good work. We’re all learning a lot. Thanks
Congratulations Andy! I want to be your 1st customer. I'll order 2 gallons of 501 Top Coat 5182 Etheral Blue. I'll also need some primer and bottom paint. I think I have enough of the rolling additive. I'll keep a look out for your website.
Congratulations Andy. We’re renovating a 2001 Casita travel trailer - 16’ all fiberglass. We’ve watched at least 50 of your videos. We’ve done a lot of patching and need to paint it. The scheme is teal lower half and some shade of white for the upper half.
Congratulations on all the new progress. Glad for you and your family. Don't envy you at all, on the move (I hate moving) and the new business. I have confidence that you will get it all sorted and running. God bless you and your family and your new ventures.
Its good to hear you are now an Alexseal dealer, I will certainly be buying from you. I will be painting soon but the admiral needs to select the specific color. We are leaning towards a white of some sort.
Congratulations! I’ve been tuned into your channel for a long time, in fact your videos on Alexseal was the catalyst for us to tackle painting our decks. Prep work is complete and we are looking to start the project in 3 weeks, weather dependent. We were going to go with a paint on non-skid and again after your soft sand posts went in that direction. Thank you for the info and giving us the courage to tackle this project. Going to be looking for Whisper grey for the non-skid coke and will be looking to you....
Your video on Total Boat compound has relieved me of sore arms and shoulders and many many hours of work to remove the inevitable oxidation on my travel trailer. Just incredible stuff.
Great news. Huge best of luck with this venture. A well deserved expansion for a great guy. I guess you’re not going to be shipping to the UK, so I might not be able to make use of your services though.
Congrats on the new venture my project is well underway and haven't made my mind up on gelcoat or paint with anti-skid. I have about 600 pounds of waterlogged foam removed from my hull and so far my stringers sound solid almost a metallic tink sound when I tap on them so hopefully they are good and won't need replaced. Thanks again for the training you have given us.
Couldn’t happen to a better family! Congrats bud! We bought Alex seal and I have to get it on our 42’ Californian still! But from what you’ve taught us we’re ready to start!!!
Congratulations! have been watching for a fair time, initially got interested in fiberglass work because of a dune buggy that I have owned and have had in storage since about 1976. After watching your shows and others like m.j. sailing have gotten interesting in boats and their maintenance with Total Boat and Alexseal.
Andy, thank you for all your informative videos I am just getting started on my 89 cobia repairs and I have learned so much from you. I am looking forward to seeing your distributorship up and running. I will definitely order from you !
Can you do a two tone non skid with Alexseal? Gloss white perimeter and a gray where the non- skid is. Replacing a stick down foam non-skid, but like the two color look.
Hey, that's great! Congratulations - I have loved to see things come together for you these last few years. From the switch to full-time content, to the new shop, and now this. I will be buying Alexseal (eventually - I'm slow) for my own project, so might as well buy it from someone whose videos have helped me so much. For a content suggestion, one thing I would love to see covered for Alexseal is how to apply their metallics. I am in love with either the Velvet Green or Peppermint Blue for my own project, but terrified of trying to use it and messing it up.
First of all - you will never look like a fool. You have learned me almost all I today know about boats. Just bought a Scand (Norwegian) 1984 32 footer and have no fear to do everything. Thanks, Andy. Secondly, the products you often use are not so availalbe in Europe. Any expectations to ship to eur? Know it is a nightmare with tax, vat etc but would be great to get US alternatives to Hempel and International over here. Then a wish: You have no videos on carpet, interior wall/headliner vinyl, ply floorboards etc. Mads from Saillife has some but would be great to learn from you as well. All best and good luck from Denmark.
Congratulations! Thanks for the great content also! I recently bought a hull project and would like to strip the "repaint" off and take it back to its original teal color. Will you be carrying teal? 1971 Bellbouy 14 ft.
So will the retail location be open for pick ups too? I will be looking for Sea Foam or Sea Frost (in their green hues). I will be painting the hulls of my Hirondelle catamaran.
Hey Andy.. why not rent a 20 or 40 foot container and stuff all your stuff from Wisconsin in that before getting it moved to your new shop ;) or is that not possible in the US?
Hello Andy, I need a gallon of Whisper Gray with the rolling additive and a quart of white (I will get back for wich white). Timing is fantastic, I didn't know where to buy it. Happy it will be by you. Congrats. Cheers.
Congratulations Andy! Hope that I can make enough progress on my refit to order paint for the entire project. It's a small sailboat only 27 feet long but it is a total gut and redesign inside. I really enjoy your channel and all the great advice you present for the DIY sailor. Thanks again. S/V Cork ~ Texas
Sounds good I'd make it a point to buy my materials from you. As for colors I'm about a year away from that but if I had to guess Samantas will be a tan or grey with a red or light blue boot stripe. Are you thinking of adding the totalboat line also? How about fiberglass cloth and such?
I do have a small boat project (1968 Boston Whaler 13 Sport) that will be completely repainted. Will you be offering smaller paint orders (maybe 1 or 2 gallons not sure yet how much I'll actually need)?
Happy to see you are prospering, and very grateful for all I have learned from you, which have helped me to help other friends. Best of luck in this new chapter.
Congrats Andy!! I am building a 17' skiff and would like to paint it Capri Blue. Let me know if that is one of the colors you will stock. I love your channel and would be happy to support you.
Totally out of your normal realm but do you know if it is non toxic to aquarium life? Or even is gel coat? Build plywood aquariums, using fiberglass as the next step, always looking for top coat alternatives. Currently use a product called pond armor or pond shield.
Congrats on the new venture hope everything pans out for you, have a friend that just did a paint job on his car and he used Alexseal on that looks great.
Congratulations! I just finished my solo skiff build and painted it with the ice blue. I chose Alexseal based on your videos and ordered it online from a place in Ft. Lauderdale. It came out beautiful.
Good, I procrastinated on ordering paint long enough to order it from you! I don't need a lot though. Dark blue (Aristo, Santorin, Infinity) enough to repaint a stripe 10 inches wide all the way around a 27 footer plus some extra.
If you can throw together a kit for primer and paint I’d be all in. I’m racking by brain trying to make sure I get everything I need to paint my bay boat. Congratulations, big things ahead for sure! Wish you the best of luck!
That's awesome! Congrats! I have always said things work out the way they're supposed to. You have to put your mind to it and the universe rewards us for the fruits of our labor. I'm working on an Aquasport 200 CC and you are the go to guy when it comes to boats. Thank you for that and I look forward to your upcoming vids.
Congratulations Andy!! Glad to see your hard work and dedication paying off!! Hope Alexseal is giving you profit sharing!!! I’m doing a 61 13’ whaler and want to do the inside. Looks like the closest color to “whaler blue” they have is AD Blue (5179). I would need two quarts and the reducers, activators and rolling converter to complete the job.
Ohhh … you’ve been holding out on us! Well, at least it’s been for a darned good reason. 👍🏼👍🏼 Congratulations on the latest achievement/milestone in your career! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Looking forward, as I do every weekend, to learning more and more from you as I get back into rehabbing my boat!
I ordered some paint this winter and the problem with colors, especially the whites is that they didn’t have paint chips I could order. I would be willing to pay for a color deck so I could have the color I wanted.
Congrats. I wish this had happened sooner. Looked for Alexseal when it came time to paint my boat and couldn’t find it. I will be ordering from you next time around.
Andy, I am painting my 43’ Hans Christian sailboat this summer. Going with Alexseal. Looking at either oyster or fleet white. Curious on your experience with a good white for sailboats with a lot of teak and a green boot strip and canvas? I will be buying my paint from you.
Congrats Andy - Any chance you are shipping to Canada? It's difficult to get Alexseal products in my part of the world and the local distributors won't sell/service retail clients
Dude, congratulations 🍾. Nice. You deserved it. You are a wonderful person and source for us the DIY. Happy for you.
Beside most good men, is a great woman. Glad you have someone to help keep you on track. Good luck on your next great adventure.
Thanks Andy and thanks Alexseal , after 5 failed attempts with another very well product I managed to paint my Cherubini 48 Schooner in Black in the Florida sunshine and get a fantastic finish with just a roller !!!!!

It's nice to see the good guys succeed

Congratulations Andy and welcome to Michigan.

In six months time (no time) you'll be sorted out and running like a well oiled machine. This is a big step, congrats!
Couldn’t happen to a better family! Congrats bud! We bought Alex seal and I have to get it on our 42’ Californian still! But from what you’ve taught us we’re ready to start!!!
CONGRATULATIONS, I hope everything goes well, you deserve the break. You are going to do great. Good Luck, God Bless
Congratulations Andy! Does your deal require you to be exclusively Alexseal, or can you also expand into other supplies or brands?
There are no outside restrictions or conditions on me, just going to keep it simple at first and see where it goes :-)
@@boatworkstoday I know where I'll buy from now, congrats Andy!
Congratulations! have been watching for a fair time, initially got interested in fiberglass work because of a dune buggy that I have owned and have had in storage since about 1976. Congratulations Andy, very happy for you!
Just watch your health, stress can kill you... it almost got me last January.
Congratulations man you have earned this!
Great news Andy! Good luck!
Andy, thank you for all your informative videos I am just getting started on my 89 cobia repairs and I have learned so much from you. I am looking forward to seeing your distributorship up and running. I will definitely order from you !

Wow! Congratulations!🍾
Congrats on all of these positive changes Andy
Congrats! I’m restoring a 1965 South Coast sailboat- I’m hoping to use T5195 - Santorin Blue and T7188 - Racoon Gray. Thanks for all the great videos!
Good on ya Andy! This boat series is a tremendous public service the the boating world…
You deserve/ earned it, for things to go your way!
Awesome news! I really hope this all works out for you.
Can you do a two tone non skid with Alexseal? Gloss white perimeter and a gray where the non- skid is. Replacing a stick down foam non-skid, but like the two color look.
Congrats Andy, you've worked hard to get to this point. Fun to follow your progress.
Congrats wish you were closer. But I have watched so many of your videos such great info. Much appreciated and good luck with this new venture.
I’m going to be painting my 1959 Crownline. Something in the red/maroon palette.

Congratulations on the latest achievement/milestone in your career! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Looking forward, as I do every weekend, to learning more and more from you as I get back into rehabbing my boat!
Hope to see more videos soon, been over a month!
Awesome for you with the paint great stuff. Satff the bane of any small business. Unless they REALLY know their stuff your productivity goes down.
Couldn't happen to a better guy.
Enjoy your success!
Congratulations I hope everything works out OK and now I know where I can get my paint
Do they have a website yet to order it from?
Congratulations and best wishes for Your next adventure.
Very cool! Congratulations!!
Can you do custom colors? If not, something close to a beige used on 1984 Mainship?
Andy, I am painting my 43’ Hans Christian sailboat this summer. Going with Alexseal. Looking at either oyster or fleet white. Curious on your experience with a good white for sailboats with a lot of teak and a green boot strip and canvas? I will be buying my paint from you.
I will be using Alexseal paint on a fiberglass hardtop I made for my CC boat. But need advice on what primer to use on epoxy resin. Thx
busy busy times. big congratulations on the retail and the sale! dont you have a boat to work on?
Congratulations all the way from Denmark. Love your videos.
Congrats Andy - Any chance you are shipping to Canada? It's difficult to get Alexseal products in my part of the world and the local distributors won't sell/service retail clients
