He owned a truck stop so I got to be hoisted up into many old trucks by my dad. My mom ran the restaurant side of the business and my dad ran the truck repair/weigh in part. It was right off the Interstate in Northeast Ky near Oh, WV tri state. Always busy. Lost my old man to cancer in 2016. I still think of him every time I smell diesel or see an old semi. And by keeping him involved and letting him get in on the action he'll be into it even more than he's into it now! That's so cool to see. What a great father you are. I'll never forget the the first time my dad let my brothers and I start the racecar. We were all so little that 2 of us could fit in the aluminum racing seat and one sittin on the cross bar for the roll cage that went through the passenger side. The removable steering wheel seemed so big! It was so loud and impressive and took our breathes away. After spending many a weekend as a child at different local racetracks, coming from a racing family, we started to get comfortable around the cars and the noise. One evening, my uncles race car was on a trailer sitting in the yard. We got the brilliant idea to crawl in and start it up since we were racecar starting experts. Well, long story short, we almost ended up launching the car off the trailer and across the yard lol. Little story for you all. Keep that boy going in this direction man. • @johndowe7003
      @johndowe7003 5 лет назад

      @@Shadow-hk5sv yeah it wont be hard at all, you have plenty of room in a big truck (most models anyways) the most import thing would be to do the flange that bolts to the engine, i would try and get someone laser cut a 3/8 plate for that though. im sure you could make one in a regular shop but a plasma cut cnc flange is mo bettah, good luck man .

    • @Shadow-hk5sv
      @Shadow-hk5sv 5 лет назад

      Indeed. Looking to get some laser cut stainless for flanges and I happen to live 20 minutes from Silicone Intake Systems who carries the stainless weld els.

    @brookewoody8620 3 года назад

    Do you still have the truck

    • @DanielBoonesloggingvideos
      @DanielBoonesloggingvideos  3 года назад

      In a way yes. The people that owned it Gave it to me thinking the truck wouldn’t start and run because of the broken fly wheel housing. I fixed the fly will housing making it operational again, so I asked them if they wanted it back since it runs and drives they said sure, so I can use it anytime I want at this point.
