Anything new LRoA I'm all over! I'm excited to try this one out. Honestly, the more I play Arnak, the more I grow to love and appreciate the genius of this game. Thanks, Luke. I can't wait to try this out!
Looks amazing. Love this game solo. Can't wait until it gets to Australia! Enjoy your reviews. Nice to hear any possible downfalls of game as well as the good stuff 😊
I preordered this. I love the game and can't wait to test new expansion. From the leaders, my favorite are Mystic (love those fear cards) and Baroness (love those items). Explorer and Falconer are least favorite ones for me. I love the game, love the theme, love that after every game I feel like I learned how to improve for the next one, I love that luck factor is not great, I love the art... Overall, probably my No1 game 😁
Solo was already my favorite way to play Arnak so this was of course an autobuy. From the previous version, they had online optional Objectives module and higher difficulty tiles to mix in - which I printed up. I felt it elevated the game just right where you felt you were working against an opponent. Looking forward to this new version.
Great review. Thanks a lot. I knew this would be an auto buy (whenever it becomes available in Mexico), but I wanted to make sure. I guess now I'll have to solo all the previous leaders until I actually manage to get hold of a copy.
Great review Luke. I’m 4 games into the campaign and really enjoying it. Yes, the plot point tracks are a bit odd in how they work, but the fact that maxing one lets any further points gained of that type count as wild helps get other cards and results in fewer ‘wasted’ points than there would be otherwise. It’s also worth mentioning that the story text associated with gaining the cards relates to the symbol of the track you have levelled up. I thought this was a nice thematic touch and made them seem less arbitrary. The additional red meeples were a welcome addition for me. It looks better on the board playing solo when the rival uses a single colour, rather than all the rest. Essential if playing coop too. Anyways, great review and thanks for all the consistently high quality content. ❤😊
Hi Luke, auto-buy it definitely was - but my buy is a pre-order which just got at least two months delayed here in Downunder. But even if I would have this already, I would definitely watch your video with the same (or more) interest. Thanks Luke, can't wait for my copy.
"It is the superior game to Dune Imperium" I've never smashed a like button so fast! But seriously, love them both. I agree they really play/feel different, but given the choice, ARNAK.
The new licensed artwork version is 90% good for it. The only issue is that the insert can't fit every single monster tile/land tile so you get some overlap.
I love Arnak. I found it funny when you said Arnak doesn’t overstay its welcome but almost said Dune Imperium does. Our games of Arnak take significantly longer than Dune, but I’d say neither overstays their welcome. I love them both. I’ve introduced Arnak to about 12 people and at least 4 bought it. I preordered this with the Ark Nova expansion and it looks like I’ll be getting them both after Essen. They won’t ship either until both are released.
@@TheBrokenMeeple not with my group. Dune takes 2 hours. Arnak goes 3 or more. I think it’s AP with the resource management. One game went over 4 with 4 people. I wasn’t in that one but I couldn’t leave until they were done since it was my copy of the game. I’ve also taught both at a local con and Dune is always done quicker than Arnak. By about an hour.
Great game, can’t complain about the content or mechanics. But damn this game is really getting fiddly and cumbersome to setup/teardown, sort, and store. Especially if planning to swap between campaign and normal games.
Unpopular opinion, this game was so meh. Nothing really special. It’s basically just resource conversion. And I like resource conversion. I love Le Havre and it’s basically resource conversion. The deck building isn’t that interesting. Multi use cards, who cares lol. It just didn’t leave me thinking about it afterwards like other games do.
One of the finest and most elegant solo games ever made. A permanent staple for any solo gamer's collection.
Agreed!

I didn't realize it added so much. I thought it was just going to be a campaign..now I need to grab it. more arnak is good lol
Great review Luke! Man, CGE is doing such a good job supporting this amazing game. Thx!
It really is!
You're welcome for the view! Love me some Arnak and looking forward to playing this!
As usual: FANTASTIC material Luke! Thank You!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@TheBrokenMeeple BTW stupid Google change something... It is me: Leclerc... I meant Krzysztof 😂😂😂
Another grear review - this is a fantastic expansion and I had a blast going through the campaign solo.

It's really high up there!
Arnak expansions are not expensive. Buy it all.

Yup. Going to pick this up. I enjoyed the previous solo scenario. Can’t wait to try this one out.
Have fun!

In Canada. Only just became available at my favourite online shop and ordered this morning.

I like playing falconer, have this expansion on pre-order.

He he it does drive the Dune fans nuts!
Hey Luke, how do you find the Folded Space for holding the base game plus both Expansions? Our box is a mess with just the 1st expansion 😂

In no reality has Arnak exceeded Dune in play time. Arnak is finished in maximum two hours. Dune Imperium ALWAYS takes longer.

you m entioned in this review that you did a review of "Expedition Leaders;" I can't it! LOL #mySearchFuIsWeak
I thought I had but I guess I haven't 😢 To be honest, what's to review, the leaders are great to use and add variety.
Great game, can’t complain about the content or mechanics. But damn this game is really getting fiddly and cumbersome to setup/teardown, sort, and store. Especially if planning to swap between campaign and normal games.
Waiting for the Hungarian release. : ) I hope it is great value for money.
Coffee for board gamers? What’s next? Condoms for board gamers LOL
Not a bad idea. Having a child has really reduced the number of board games I get to play. Although in ten years I've got someone else to play with
Sure! My gayming group of 4 guys always comes prepared with condoms :). We have Arnak, Dune, and Imperial Assault flavors. Want some?
@@andyliebermann5244 you’re really playing the long game
Well I'll need them...........now and again! :P
I think you actually meant “Lost Ruins of Arnak, the superior game to Ark Nova” 😂
I know what I said! 😜

VERY unpopular opinion indeed
Not everyone has gone for it, which makes sense! But I love multi-use cards!!
