I just gave birth and used midwives connected to a hospital. It was wild and beautiful. I knew my midwifes and it was so comfortable (For such an overwhelming experience) I highly recommend midwives. They and the nurse team supporting them, made my birth experience so much more wonderful
As someone who experienced traumatizing births with all 3 of my children, I am absolutely in love with this! I was just speaking to someone about why there are no birthing centers in the big city I live in. I am now looking into becoming a midwife. I think advocating for other women would help ease some of the trauma I still carry with me 18 years later.
I had a midwife when I was pregnant with my daughter. I loved the experience so much more than when I had my son with my OB/GYN. My midwife was with Grady Memorial Hospital and I have recommended her to all my family & friends.
My best friend chose what was to be the best hospital in Houston. She contracted and lifelong infection for her and her child. Spent years healing. The hospital is not a a safe primary option.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I hope you're not suggesting we shouldn't go back to home birth. The medicalization of birth has been the most damaging abuse to women during what should be the most empowering experience of their lives.
No it's nothing like the Handmaid's Tale. It's caring for the mother & the baby. OB/GYN's tend to treat you in a dis connected way and is solely focused on the baby. My midwife was in the hospital & I was given the same benefits with much better care.

What is the true danger caution of a stressful baby birth in regard to trauma as child grows UP?
Why are we here in this life? Why do we die? What will happen to us after death?
To pass the exam of god we die to finish this exam after death we will get the results of what we are in our life .
@@houssemabdou5891 OK, you passed. ✔Next?😂
_"I already know your results, why do you think I made you?"_
40 years ago, I used a midwife to deliver my 10.3lb son and it was the easiest of my 3 birth. My first two birth where awful.

We cannot go back, we should not go back, the future is the destination and to disagree is to disparage the hope for a better future.

Now they want the handmaids tale?

@@mignonporter cool.
Wow, that ego.
Marxism
Love midwifery, but she's making this into a marxist thing. Boo. Mostly good stuff though.
Nah...hospital with emergency equipment and personnel wins.
Some hospitals have midwives on the staff 😊
@@mignonporter That clearly wasn't my point.
You really don't have midwives in maternal hospitals? I don't believe you. Come on...
