You botched up an expensive blade what is wrong with you that was hand graving you just decimated poor poor restoration on your part kid. I give you A for effort. It’s not a restoration if you modify it by the way.
Very nice job, the knife It self was very old and beautiful, the eagle handle in my personal opinión should had be gold , you should had to Sharp the upper edges as well, but It was really a amazing piece of art.
The Tang being so short and not saving the decorative engraving on the blade was the sadest & most disappointing part, but it still looked good in the end.
I'm disappointed that you didn't try to save the original decorative engraving on the blade. You could have etched the pattern deeper into the blade before all the smoothing & polishing. Another thing you could have done is lengthen the tang a bit to make the handle more stable. You dropped the ball on this restoration.
I understand your reasoning. However this was never a user piece anyway. It was nothing more than a cheap Chinese mall display knife. He probably made it look better than it did from the sweatshop.
That is not what ReXtorer said about this knife. He said that it is a homemade hunting knife. I didn't see anything to indicate that this is a China made knife. No 'Made in China' stamp, etc. I believe that you made the assumption that this is a China made blade without anything to support your claim.
@@j.l.emerson592 sure, to support my claim. The rope under the bolster would be an extremely cheap way to mass produce knives with rat tail/stick tangs and have them fit cheap bolsters while making the guards not have as much play, along with using a shim to make the pipe bolster fit the handle is also indicating a cheap original production, the guard is also poorly fitted to the blade from production.
Hi! This is not a Chinese knife. But whoever made this knife made a few mistakes. The handle of the knife was raw, so after a while the wood dried and had to be put on a rope. There were some words on the blade, but they were once tried to be removed with acid. The material of the blade is high-quality steel, sharpens well.

Just a thought and attached eagle feather design would look great on the blade great video as always

I am sad about the loss of manufacturing stamps, but it would have killed me to see this beaut restored with all that pitting. Absolutely wonderful.
Nice👍
LOL, I yelled NO at the video screen when you stained the knife handle dark again; It looked so much nicer in the light unfinished color
)))
can always buy another off Etsy lol, they are cheap enough

Hello from New York. Beautiful work. I love your videos. I watch everyone that comes out.
I really like this knife and a fantastic finish 😂
The face on the eagle iBooks like it's asking Kowalski for an analysis.
Very nice work. Salute!
👍👍😘😘
The blade looks like it was crafted by Native Americans. Awesome restoration 👌👍👊
Thanks!
Can we please see you working with your sand blaster please

Handle would have looked much better with a light colored oil finish. It became too shiny and glossy
👍👏💪
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

What is the liquid solution used in the soaking method?
Is an decorative knife, is not to use it.... The tonge is a joke. Xd
now make neat scheth for it
Do you have a metal detecting channel?
Do you ever sell these products?
I kind of thought you would have made a sheath to go with it, to protect the blade, (and yourself).

Disaster. Vandalism. You removed all the markings from the blade. Shame on you.
Great job on this . Looks amazing.
