Work smarter, not harder. Great words to live by! Love the ingenuity of bringing the fan, generator, and umbrella down to have a little shade. I don’t know if you guys are having the same weather but we just had a big front that pushed through that dropped our temps from the 90’s to the high 60’s. It’s been a fantastic break from the heat!
The storms and rain have skipped me for three days. It's been overcast, hot and muggy.
@@TKCL hate to hear that. Hopefully you’ll catch a cool front soon.
Congratulations. I've learned a lot by watching all of your house build videos. Best channel that I watch.
Thank you very much
I kind of miss splitting firewood. It was always a fun day going up into the mountains to fall trees and then splitting wood at the farm. Good times!
I really do enjoy it.
Your property is one of the most beautifully maintained ones I have ever seen.I just cannot stop looking at how green and lush it looks, and as for your house (I should mention my fave color is green lol) it is looking amazing as well,Wonderful work.
Thank you very much! I work very hard to maintain this place. We feel truly blessed to have this property.
You are getting lots of firewood. 🤠
Slowly but surely
Log splitting Florida style. 👍
@KatieAllen You're so right. Needed flip flops and a cooler.🥰🩴
Yes I definitely needed flip flops 😂
Work should be enjoyable, the fan and umbrella sure do help! You’re so smart! Enjoyed this video very much. Thanks Andrew.
Thank you for watching
I have never seen anyone split wood with a fan and an umbrella, first for everything I guess!
It works!
Hi, Andrew! You know you made my day. I love watching you split wood!!! Hallelujah Happy Dance! Your grass is a lush beautiful green.
Thank you for watching Mrs Pam! Yes spring is definitely in the air!
Please Andrew , don`t fast forward these kind of video`s , the woodsplitting is sóóóóó relaxing ............ Thanks for all of the video`s on the house build !! Really awesome
Well I try to keep it entertaining for all. Several hours worth of splitting would bore 99 percent of people 😁
Great video mate. A change is as good as a holiday, and you looked like you were on holiday with that beach umbrella.
I do enjoy splitting some wood
I’ll bet that shower felt real good 👍
Sure did!
Strange not to see cattle or goats around.. these are good equipment 😊
Hi Andrew enjoyed your video. Splitting wood is refreshing. Love the umbrella idea 👍 good way to keep the sun off of you. (Smart Man) Just love the different sections of your property.🇨🇦
Thank you for watching
I like the way you think. Less sweat more production .
I have a Brella holder Mounted right on My Splitter LOL
Thanks Andrew.
Great set up but where's your ice tea? 🙂 Nothing like a little wood cutting video after a long day. Lol
Lol I drank about 6 or 7 bottles of water that day.
@@TKCL can't blame ya there.
Andrew, I have to chuckle at your wood splitting videos. I have the exact same setup including the Polaris to haul it around. I'm like, "Hey, I just did that today." Anyway, I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but there is a four way splitting head that slides right over the existing head. They sell them at Tractor Supply. Mine saves me a ton of time splitting. I picked mine up when I got the side table. I enjoy your content. Keep up the great work.
I am aware of it, the reviews have kept me from getting it.
Your property is beautiful. The hard work you put into caring for it really shows!
Thank you very much! We truly appreciate this place.
A good workout 😁
Nice log splitting jams! 🎵
Great video. Thats a very nifty one person log splitter. You are set! Love the way you think! Just think you have that amazing air conditioned home to go back to..
Thank you for watching
What a beautiful day to be outside. Love your firewood videos.
Thank you! It was a gorgeous day.
Just love the smell of fresh split wood---
Me too
Glad to hear you took a day off from working on the house! Sometimes a change of scenery is all you need to get motivated again. I seen where they just launched another Star Link satellite so hopefully you will be getting your soon! Hope to see you on Sunday for the live chat. Have a great weekend ahead.😀👍
Can't wait 🤞🤞🤞🤞
lemonnade? nad a axe orm something to manipulate them large rounds...do your thing though; always a joy to watch ya vids!
I know what you mean about operating smarter. Years of being outdoors unprotected caught up with me when I had a hunk of skin cut off my neck a few years ago( basil cell skin cancer).. that got my attention
I have a friend that's ate up with it and it isn't looking good. Has me really thinking about it.
Hi Andrew, I'm glad you will be revising how you handle those heavy rounds. No back injuries allowed. 😊 Loved the umbrella⛱️ and the fan. I'm sure there are lots of men wondering why they hadn't thought of that.
This Florida heat is no joke! Thanks for watching
Awesome video!!!!! That's what we have been doing on Saturday's cutting and splitting, putting it in IBC totes.
Tis the season
Great Job!
Just got one of these splitters after using a Huskee 22ton for 20yrs. That was a good splitter that never failed to split a piece i put on it. The Countyline is still in its trial phase but so far I love it, so much faster than the huskee and only maybe 1/3 or 1/5 pieces does it kick into low range whereas the Huskee it was easily 50-60% of them it would. 16 second cycle on Huskee (unloaded) versus a 11 sec cycle on the Countyline and that is just magnified by the less pieces it goes into low gear on.
I honestly don't really understand why people get the big 35-40 ton splitters, more fuel, oil, expense, maintenance, weight, etc on a bigger unit and really no need.. a 11 sec cycle time is already faster than me 50% of the time so the 10.5sec of the 30ton C.L. or 9.5sec of the 40ton C.L. really doesn't add up to much
Almost like you need a wood cutting pavilion. Yet another project.
Yes I've been really thinking about one
Tiffany is gonna have to put you on her patient list.....down in ya back. I can remember when i was about 10 we were splitting firewood. We had a homemade splitter that worked off the tractor. We got down to the last few pieces and one of the farm hands grabbed my arm and it felt like he slung me 100 yards. One of the biggest diamond back rattle snakes I've ever seen was rolled up just waiting for a hand to go back down there
Oh wow! I kept waiting for a snake to pop out of my wood pile.
@@TKCL they love them so it seems.
Andrew you had to be sore after all that. Man that’s a lot of work!
Im good and really enjoy the work.
You, might want take a look at the power split log splitter. You can catch it on u tube. I split wood as you also. And basically have same splitter, after watching video i bought it. No more bending over and can knock put a cord in less than a hr.
I recently got the American cls animal splitter. It has a large 5-in cylinder, log lift, 4 and 6-way hydraulically controlled wedges, a 22 gallon a minute pump, and a large Honda engine. It dramatically increased my splitting time.
Hummm a splitting shed open on all 4 sides, shade, fans cold drinks. Would also keep the rounds dry till you can get to them.
You are in my mind! I've been thinking about one for the last couple of days!
💪🏽 love the wood splitting videos.. too bad I wasn't closer otherwise I would offer a lending hand but since I don't 🤷🏽♂️...... LoL
Also that's a awesome idea 💡 that o may just have to do while I'm splitting but I'm going to rig up some kind of ice chest with ice cooler to get cold air blown on to me while I'm splitting 🤔🤔🤔
Fancy!
Use rec fuel. I had the same problem with my snowblower with its carburetor. Switched to the non-ehtenol fuel and had zero problems. I use it in all of my gas-powered equipment now.
Biden wants to go to 15 % alcohol. That will destroy many engines. Thirty proof fuel should be for the end of the day, not for your engines.
I exclusively run non ethanol fuel in all my outdoor power equipment. I had several viewers tell me that a certain percentage of ethanal is allowed in rec fuel before it has to be disclosed. I sure hope that isn't true as I'm currently paying $5.16 a gallon for it 😡
@@brianhillis3701 I don't want to make this political, as I don't think that solves any problems. I'm not saying I don't agree with you, but my mantra is don't offer a problem without a solution.
@@jamesmccloughan1057 the solution is not to push fuel that is known to destroy engines, corrode fuel station equipment and increase ground water pollution. It is the actual science that he ignored. Ethanol doesn't really save energy or reduce air pollution.
@@TKCLyou can test the ethanol percentage of your fuel with a graduated cylinder or cup with a line on it and water.. find a video that will show you more if need-be. Might be worth knowing if your E-0 is actually E-5. Also, sometimes the fuel truck driver makes a mistake and pumps into the wrong tank and it's not always caught or cared-about by the station when it happens
Why not weld a 4 way wedge that can be bolted on, twice the yield same work?
I'm back and forth on a 4 way. You get very inconsistent splits.
Have you ever given any thought to making a small platform out of scrap 2X lumber to sit on the ground while splitting in the vertical position? I have a splitter similar to yours, and I have found if you place a small platform for the big rounds to sit on that you don't have to hold them in place while trying to start breaking them down. Just a thought....
Yes I think about it often and keep putting it off. I want to make one out of steel.
It seems you've burnt some of the festive meals today, LOL! Yes, we were gifted health as most valuable gift and are not supposed to waste it and complain later on, you've worked so hard this last year, it's about time to start thinking about your health.
Why is splitting wood so satisfying?
It's like mowing, to take something from a displeasing state (pile of wood, weeds and grass) and turn it into something neatly stacked and pleasant to look at. Plus seeing a machine crack open large pieces of wood with ease is always satisfying.
I’m so curious about how much firewood can you store in one bin?…
I mean…. How much hours of warmth is stored in one of your crates?
Just a rough measurement so I can understand your reserve
With love,
Ben
Yeah, Those big rounds look like a real pain to handle. I hope one of the ideas you’re going to try involves explosives 😃😉
Lol.... Wait.... Hmmmmmm 🤔🤔🤔
@@TKCL now you’re thinking🙌🏼
@@TKCL they used to split rails with explosives. It’s pretty much the same thing. 😂
Hen your cutting up the other logs just noodle the cuts into to quarter s!
You'd be shocked how many people go crazy over me sawing into quarters 🤷🤷🤷
check out the firewood drill bit. good job splitting wood. do you sell the wood. you did not get the bear to help you out. working smart got it bloody good show. do not forget deep fishing trip from tiffney. be bless. i do not know if you watch LUMNAH ACRES watch the april 21, 2022 video to what happen to GINA. ya'll can see what they done on there 500 acres. SAVANNAH TN.
I sell very little, we burn almost all of it. It's been a few weeks since I've watched Lumnah, been very busy.
Now that’s the way to cut wood!!! ? for you where do you find the wire containers that you put you wood in? Tfs stay safe and God Bless:)
On facebook marketplace, those are IBC totes!
😀
That’s how you get old.
Been meaning to ask where you got those firewood containers with lids?
Most off of Facebook marketplace. Those are IBC totes
👍💞
What is the attachment that you have for not allowing the pump to go all the way back is that something you bought or something you made
Homemade, here you go ruclips.net/video/AYEl6JB_Sbg/видео.html
@@TKCL Other than on that video have you had to make any changes to it I plan on building one just want to know if you needed to tweak anything
Zero changes, it's been working perfectly.
Do you have any red oak down there in your part of Florida?
Yes that's what the big oak is behind me in the video that needs to be cut. It's not a common oak here.
did you get this from the new tractor supply lol?
New one where?
@@TKCL by the new amazon building off 90
Have not seen it!
First
Dang! You win another month rent free! I'm going broke at this rate. 😒
Way too much labor..
you have got so proficient on splitting wood, you read the Grain and understand where to take it apart and that reads volumes. I expect nothing less from you because as you say overdue is what I do👍📐
It does split very easy with the grain
I’m so curious about how much firewood can you store in one bin?…
I mean…. How much hours of warmth is stored in one of your crates?
Just a rough measurement so I can understand your reserve
With love,
Ben
It's what we call a 1/3 of a cord, not sure if you are familiar with that measurement?
