Tenerife Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is a city in Spain. The name means "holy cross of Tenerife". It is located on the island of Tenerife, the capital of the island and the Canary Islands archipelago. It is the seat of the Parliament of the Canary Islands. The municipality is located in the northeastern part of the island, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The city is between the bay that bears its name and the Anaga massif. The city is located in a steep area, forming a metropolitan area with the city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, with which it is linked both physically and urban. Together they have a population of over 400,000 inhabitants. The city hosts one of the biggest carnivals in the world.
