The erratic greed of industry bigwigs in the west was totally on the loose without any control of artistic creative necessities & prerogatives. High quality, high end jpn reissues of the best achievements of past decades in jazz, soul and blues kept the flame burning among aficionados globally - and so accomplishing a certain important aspect, one half of the whole, in procuring jazz's future. Let s let this incredibly still-fresh approach in Diane s singing create a strong, beautifully-erected monument not just to her statuesque human presence but particularly to japanese culture and its highly-spiritual respect to every-THING in existence, as being conveyed thru all positive & constructive there is, and can be, between not only cradle and cascet, but between all created human beings - "here, now & everywhere.." We are all just sojourners amidst an obscure and odd journey of a leg called life. We are, and we are not, "stardust and golden.." This needs to be emphasized especially in the meantime with possible WW3 brewing and lurking in Ukraine.
