I hate that she told him she loved him. It cheapened everything she had with Toby. Caleb was never going to love Spencer while Hanna was around and those three words should not have been said by either of them.

Caleb and Spencer spent years together and became best friends and would've dated sooner if not for Hannah. Her loving him makes a lot of sense, and I say this as someone whose favorite ship is Spoby

I love spoby but now that Toby is engaged I'm really losing hope in their relationship and I don't know how the producers will bring them back together (if they do so). And now these moments between Spencer and Caleb makes me sad because I love Spencer and I wanted someone worth of her love and also because she deserves all the happiness in the world.

Why are people forgetting that Spencer is in love with Caleb now & not Toby? She wants Caleb, not Toby. As Toby wants Yvonne, not Spencer. They can't just magically fall back in love when they're already in love with other people, that takes time & it is unrealistic as fuck.

Spencer didn't do anything wrong by dating Caleb. She asked for Hanna's permission first, even though it had been years since the break up. She didn't cheat on him before everything fell apart, unlike most of the characters on the show. Spencer's only fault here was falling for the wrong person, and at the end of the day, there's nothing we, as humans, can do to change that. Feelings are the way they are.
I know she did but still... She should've expected this to happen though :( Now I feel bad for her.

Okay so time to adult and be real with myself when I 1st watched Caleb an Spencer's relationship unfold I was truly convinced he loved her the way she loved him or thought she did but watching this scene today when spence tells him she loves him and that he only likes her and doesn't feel the same love for her as she feels for him his silence in the next moment is so loud it's obvious they weren't going to be end game

i can understand why someone would ship spaleb in 6b, but now?? in this relationship, spencer will always be second choice. maybe it would've been okay if he said that the kiss was a mistake to hanna, but he made it clear that he wanted to get back together with her in 7x02. and then once hanna rejected him, he literally played spencer. i just don't think caleb really respects her. he didn't tell her about the kiss, and straight up lied about choosing her. spencer asked him if things would be different if hanna wanted to be with him, and he said no. like, what? that's funny, because he wanted to get back together with her an episode ago. spencer deserves to be with somebody who only loves her, and caleb will never be able to give her that. obviously, this is all my opinion, but it's just some stuff to consider. i've just really been hating caleb since 6x20. and i'm not saying spencer should be with toby. the situation with toby is very complicated as well, but i do think that toby doesn't love yvonne the way he loves spencer... as of now, spencer just needs to find someone who puts her first. and what i loved about spoby was that toby always put her first. Petra Maria I mean, the whole situation is so complicated. If Caleb wasn't Hanna's ex and Toby's friend, I would love that couple too, because they are both very attractive people and have chemistry. But no. Let's be honest, both were heartbroken and hooked up with each other to "mend" themselves. She fell for him, but he didn't. He still saw her as a hook up. And Caleb didn't want Spencer anymore since the minute he kissed Hanna. hey, they were both single at the time, and truly, there was no one by Spencer's side. She is working too hard to help her mom, and Caleb is the only man she could trust. Also, she didn't choose to hook up with him when they were both in Spain because she didn't think Hanna and Caleb are really over. TBH, in drama, 5 years is a long time. For instance, in OTH, Lucas dated peyton not long after broke up with Brooke despite the fact peyton and Brooke are BFF. At least Spencer first called Caleb back for Hannah. Hannah should've told Caleb about her feelings at that time. Then Spencer wouldn't date Caleb in the first place even though Jordan would be hurt for sure. Moreover, she should've never got engaged with Jordan. Engagement is a big deal. If she can't let Caleb go, she had time where she could've found him and told him everything. If Caleb is worthy, she should've be single for her true love. Instead, she kept going, and got engaged with Jordan, and somewhat probably used him as comfort. If she doesn't love Jordan, she should not have decide to marry him. If she does love him, then she should not have cheated on someone she loves. Thus, Spencer has problem, but her fault is far less significant than Hannah's when it comes down to this love triangle.

In my personal opinion, es much as I love #haleb , me being Caleb , would prefer to be with Spencer, pushing away the fact that she has stole melissa's boyfriends, a relationship with her would be ten times better , just because she really cares for her partner , she's really accesible and fairly easy to talk to in a relationship , and you can talk to her about anything, and she knows what she WANTS and is very CLEAR and straight forward. Hanna is very unstable, has a bad temper, can be very BITCHY at times, she yells a lot, doesn't know what she wants, expects everyone to figure her out, and has caused a lot of fights ,note that her breakup with Caleb was her fault, she is very difficult to talk to and is very impulsive. I love Hanna, she is my favourite character, but personally I would never date someone like her . I think one would have a better time with Spencer just because she doesn't cause fights like Hanna. Just my personal opinion :)
