July 2024 Paycheck 1 Budget Plan.

Planning out my July Paycheck 1. The bulk of my expenses come out of this paycheck and I’m usually very strict with my budget around this time because I know I don’t have any room for error. I know I will not overspend because there is not much left over to spend. I have no choice but to stay within my budget.

It is very important to maintain your actuals, or what you actually spent. Else the budget is but a good idea.

I used to be good at keeping track but lately I’ve stayed within my budget but I’ve not done well with keeping track of what I spent my money on.

@@sewcreatetiff How do you know you've stayed within your budget? If you are able to tell if you've stayed within budget, over spent, or under spent line item by line item then you've got some system which is working. Itemizing each and every expenditure, categorizing it, tallying them up can be VERY time consuming. Consider self maintaining systems for some of the individual variable expenses.
Ill pick on groceries. If the budgeyed grocery money is in the form of cash be it in an envelope, cash wallet, Now $1.25 Store check holder or envelope, or a wad in your jeans pocket - keeping track of how much you actually spent us as simple as counting what's left over at the endvof the budgetary period. Keeping track of household versus grocery items can be more problematic. Therecare a couple of differentbwayscpeople fo actually keep track of these things and get the cash or funds shuffled back and forth.
If there is a particular type of spending you want to know more about or need to monitor, then do the detailed spending accounting on that category only.

@@terryhenderson424 I say I stay within budget because when the money is gone it’s gone and I don’t have money to spend. Grocery money is for groceries only. Household is for house hold items only. If I purchase household items during a grocery trip, I make 2 separate transactions. Yes there has been times where I would take from a category that had money left over. I try my best not to do that.

@@sewcreatetiff For busy people this is actually the easiest way to do it. Also, if you are extremely tightly budgeted or on a limited income.

Hi Tiff, great BWM! i usually record my video the day before i upload, i wfh so i can use a break or my lunch to record and if i do it well i wont edit it which saves me time, bc i can just upload. if you remove your intro you can just upload without editing which will save u time. otherwise i would try to get up a little early or when youre winding down for the night record.

Sounds great! I have started doing this. I also learned that I can upload videos and choose a day and time for it to automatically post to RUclips. Loving that feature

Can you reduce your actual groceries purchased by $10, Grub spent by $25, and keep to the budget with @$28 left over? If so, you would have $53 and some change left over at the end of the month. Adding $50 per pay, or @$100 per month, to the debt of emphasis would double what you are paying now. On this pay period, I would keep the $3 and change as an account buffer; and let it build slowly but surely this way.

I definitely need to figure it out because it does give me anxiety. But it’s only during this time of year that my budget is a bit more strained. I’m also taking into account that I restarted my journey so I don’t have much saved as far as my sinking funds. Being prepared makes such an impact on how I am able to manage my budget.

@@sewcreatetiff Rhetorically (which means I'm not overly asking for an actual answer), why are your funds more strained "this time of year"? Is there some way you can mitigate the summer expenses by setting some of them aside during the year? Are there ways to reduce other expenses?

@@terryhenderson424 during the summer my daughter is in summer camp(daycare) all day increasing the weekly fees. And if she doesn’t go I’m still required to pay. I don’t have any other options to send her elsewhere during this time. Years before I would save for the increase in fees but this year starting my journey over had not been kind to me. Unforeseen emergencies and car and house issues threw my budget off. All things are taken care of but my my first paycheck is where most of my bills and expenses come out.
