Nice to hear a few heavy metal riffs halfway through! Really enjoy your videos. I reckon that car rolling back belonged to the mulled wine people. Half cut obviously ha ha ha ha!
Condensation basics. Run your ceiling fan 24/7 our max fan hasn't been off for 2 years, sometimes just at 20%, after a shower or during cooking we put it up to around 70%. If you wait for condensation to build up, it will take long time to get rid of it. As everything will be damp by then. Never leave water in the sink, the last thing we do at night is actually wipe the sink so it's dry... Put your wet things in a tuppaware!!! Don't try to dry them in your van. Can't remember last time I had condensation on the windows just by doing those things. Hope that helps xx
Pride and Prejudice was just repeated last week on TV and weirdly I was looking up the locations and of course Lyme House was used for Pemberley. This is the beauty of doing what you are doing, you can go anywhere and everywhere 👍.
Hi you probably know this already by this point but thought I’d share. I used to repair ambulances for a living and those erberspacher style diesel heaters require regular servicing especially if getting as much use as they will in van life. The fuel filter, glow plug and gasket should be changed at regular intervals also ensure the heater air intake is cleaned regularly and exhaust checked regularly. If the intake gets clogged with dust and fluff it can cause them to throw errors or overheat. Im unsure if the erberspacher parts will fit the Chinese copies but I’d recommend if your a van lifer make sure the heater is accessible for service and keep a small selection of service bits in the van to help prevent being without the heater when you need it most. 👍
Your videos give me all the feels! We’re away from the UK right now and watching this is making me so nostalgic for home - in the best way! Just love how genuine and beautifully crafted your videos are. A wonderful escapism. Thank you ✨ xx Chesca

Our blackout curtain is on a broom stick that just rests in the channel of our pop top so we can move it to the back of the van if needed. It wouldn’t keep us warm but at least nobody would be able to see in. Hi Liam love the videos mate in regards to the van sound I don't know if this is the same thing but I own ford Mondeo and my engine has dpf filter on it and quite often after a hard drive there is like kind of a jet sound that I've found out is something on the engine burning off the soot from the dpf filter. It does go on even after switching the engine off for about 5 to 10 minutes and then goes off. Could be that potentially.
I’m so happy I have found your channel! I met you guys on sennen cove carpark back in June. I was with my dad in our Vivaro camper. Hi Chris, we remember you well! We had a great chat about where to go in Cornwall for watersports and camping. Really appreciate you saying hello, and hope you and family are well 😀

The oil for your heater is actually diesel oil from your van fuel tank. If your fuel tank is low on diesel then your heater won't be able to get any so displays the error. The fuel pock up tube for the heater inside your tank does not reach the bottom so you cant fully empty it. Blockage just means its not getting fuel. Good luck, thanks for doing the vlog.
Awesome video Guys :)) So glad I found your Channel recently. This video is so cool. I love How You have incorporated much more personal approach to Christmas by using the Van and seeing the Countryside. This to Me is what Christmas is all about. The Van is so cosy and awesome the Kitchen tiles and layout. They say that travel is the best thing for the Human soul and Mind and You Guys certainly prove this. Take care and keep safe and warm. Merry *Christmas* Ian :)))
What a lovely comment thank you 🙏 As you say , we are done with the commercial part of Xmas, we love that beauty you get from having Xmas trees everywhere & twinkling lights - and plenty of good cheer up north too 🌲💚
@@ThoseHappyDays Hi Guys I hope that You are both well and warm. Its a small World I was watching Your latest video and when You visited that Garage where Warren fixed the heater...I know Warren and Have trained with Him in Martial arts ( Wing Chun ). I instantly recognised Him and thought oh wow its Waz. So cool to see that. Take care out there all the best for Your 2022 :))))
Sounds like a cooling fan. Would say it's from the inverter or some other electrical gadget or charger. And diesel is classed as an oil so sounds like you turned the van around and f you take you feed from the main tank maybe you were low on fuel and the feed pipe was out of the diesel.
Hiya just discovered your channel.. them cheap diesel heaters can be a nightmare.. alot of the time it's the controller on top of the unit .. plus for a van the 2kw is better than the 5kw.. a 5 kw will be running on low a lot once the vans got hot meaning it's not running efficiently and soots up..
You 2 are amazing and we love you but you worry about the heating so much!!! Most of us don't even have any heating in our Van's 😂😂😂 Candle heater works great or get thermal bedding. Blessings from the Angel's xxx
Forgot to say, that noise sounded exactly like the pump was running. I have heard that many times when our caravan used to run out of water. I could be wrong but that is the only thing I have heard that sounds like that. Could it be a faulty micro switch on the tap triggering the pump but as the tap is closed not letting any water out ? If it always happens at a certain time I would try and touch that pump to see if it’s the culprit.
Yes, it sounds exactly like the pump for the tap (we know this also as sometimes the tap gets knocked whilst we are driving and we turn round to see water everywhere (previous water 😭)). I'm going to investigate further, thank you Ken
Trotters’s Independent Trading water got us 🤣 That’s some commitment from those guys for that water. Looking forward to when you’re next in Norfolk to see if it’s worth it! Hope the owners of that rolling Golf get to see this video, funny, funny, funny 🤣 Finally those wind deflectors - yaaaaay!!! Cracking video guys!
Hope they help with your condensation 🤞🏼 And we watched a video last night by someone called Ourtime Vanlife that went on a big meet up. Looks very much like where you guys ended up but they must have missed your memo!
With the sound, in case noone else has mentioned it it's probably the fan on your B2B battery charger running the cooling fan for a few minutes after it's finished charging from the running engine.
You've changed vans now, and you probably figured it out anyway, but that humming noise is most likely a fan in the battery charger controller. It keeps going until the the MOSFET output stage cools down.
I am not sure what the noise is but I work for a water company and my work transit does this. It's normal as far as I know, it's serviced and inspected regularly and comes from the same same area as your noise.
☺️ Your van looks lovely all Christmassy. 🎄 So pleased you managed to get your heater working! You would have froze if not!! Look forward to your next one. Stay Safe. X
I have a random suggestion: get yourselves some nice festive blankets or similar and improvise a romantic little four-poster/tent-like structure over the bed. It will be fun and sweet for the vids but also really handy in a shtf situation, like if heater fails again and you in middle of nowhere in sub zero. If that happens you may need something to keep you warm in bed, afaik strong bottles of hot water (NOT hot water bottles, ur foxtrotted if they burst) and hiker's hand warmers are good, maybe other viewers have better ideas? I'm NOT a van-liver, I'll leave it to them to suggest van mods. Maybe they could also advise on underlay for the mattress if you don't already have it. I'm just someone with a smattering of relevant experience and knowledge who wants to see you stay warm and safe. I respect your tenacity and spirit. Love
Thank you for all your suggestions Tereza, love your four-poster bed suggestion, I wonder how we would go about that. You know what though, once that heaters going, it's so toasty in here. Our problem is getting the heater working 😭🤣
@@ThoseHappyDaysfun fact - canopy beds (as I gather four posters, half testers and all their friends and relations are called collectively) were originally designed to keep people warm in cold draughty rooms with poor or no heating. I guess the first ones didn't look posh or grand! Anyway after watching yr vids it struck me as a nifty backup plan (or just to save on diesel) that could also add to the festive vibe. No need to make a Tudor replica! If you like my idea find your own fun way to do it, the shape don't matter too much as long as it keeps the heat in. All the best whatever you choose, stay warm :)
Hi to you both, in a recent video you mentioned issues with condensation and any solutions. Unfortunately creating any moisture in a van will end up as condensation on the coldest parts of the inside of the van. So having experienced the annoying obvious the best thing I've found is a Karcher rechargeable window cleaner. Doesn't solve the problem but God it's a boness when clearing windows in the morning.
Nice to hear a few heavy metal riffs halfway through! Really enjoy your videos. I reckon that car rolling back belonged to the mulled wine people. Half cut obviously ha ha ha ha!

So wot kind of engine do you use to power your life ?
Looks so cold and wet pleased you got your heater going. Really enjoying watching your journey around the peaks
Keep warm stay safe 💕💕😊
Thank you Paulette, really appreciate you following our journey 💚🚐
The oil for your heater is actually diesel oil from your van fuel tank. If your fuel tank is low on diesel then your heater won't be able to get any so displays the error. The fuel pock up tube for the heater inside your tank does not reach the bottom so you cant fully empty it. Blockage just means its not getting fuel.
Good luck, thanks for doing the vlog.
Ah that makes sense Mike, it's all new to us. Thanks for the comment 🙏🚐
Awesome video 🤩 Always love seeing your adventures xx
😘😘😘
Loved catching up with your video.. Your Christmas decs look lovely too! Take good care both.. 😀
Morning Lorraine, thank you and have a lovely day 🥰
Awesome video Guys :))
So glad I found your Channel recently.
Merry *Christmas*
Ian :)))
What a lovely comment thank you 🙏 As you say , we are done with the commercial part of Xmas, we love that beauty you get from having Xmas trees everywhere & twinkling lights - and plenty of good cheer up north too 🌲💚
@@ThoseHappyDays Thank you thats so wonderful and perfect :))) You guys are awesome x :)
Ah I see 😲, it's so confusing
Fantastic edition, you could not make up all the random occurrences in this!
Haha no you couldn't 🤣
Hiya just discovered your channel.. them cheap diesel heaters can be a nightmare.. alot of the time it's the controller on top of the unit .. plus for a van the 2kw is better than the 5kw.. a 5 kw will be running on low a lot once the vans got hot meaning it's not running efficiently and soots up..
Ah is that why? Yeah we only ever have it on low settings
You 2 are amazing and we love you but you worry about the heating so much!!! Most of us don't even have any heating in our Van's 😂😂😂
Candle heater works great or get thermal bedding.
Blessings from the Angel's xxx
It is ok it’s the inventor doing it’s job 💜💜💜
Spoke to another RUclipsr about your problem. He had the same error. To fix it you need a new LCD controller. Hope that helps.
Thanks Ben, I think you could be right 🙏🚐
Forgot to say, that noise sounded exactly like the pump was running.
Love theses vids ❤️
Thank you Simon 💚
Cracking job on the van decs - looks fab and very festive 🎅🏻🎄 A very Happy Christmas to you both
Thank you Debs! 💚
Trotters’s Independent Trading water got us 🤣 That’s some commitment from those guys for that water. Looking forward to when you’re next in Norfolk to see if it’s worth it! Hope the owners of that rolling Golf get to see this video, funny, funny, funny 🤣
Finally those wind deflectors - yaaaaay!!! Cracking video guys!
Haha so pleased you liked it 💚 Can't tell you the relief of finally getting those deflectors on too 😄 Thank you for watching commenting 🌲💚🚐
Was about to say the same, sounds like our B2B charger
So all is good then with it? All is normal?
Yes agree sounds like fan on the b2b normal sound may vary depending on charge current and ambient temperature 👍🚐
You've changed vans now, and you probably figured it out anyway, but that humming noise is most likely a fan in the battery charger controller. It keeps going until the the MOSFET output stage cools down.
I'm a new fan of you two!
Thanks for joining us Scott, and happy new year
👍👍👍 we love your Videos.
We love you being here Ralf 🚐❄
Hi. Glad u got your heater fixed. Can u tell me what song that is that your video finished with. I play guitar. Would like to learn it. Thanks.
Hey! It's called Weather Any Storm by Cody Francis
@@ThoseHappyDays Thanx bro. 👍
New subscriber, I’d like to have some adventures like this. Thankyou for the entertainment x
Thanks, and welcome Claire 🙏
I am not sure what the noise is but I work for a water company and my work transit does this. It's normal as far as I know, it's serviced and inspected regularly and comes from the same same area as your noise.
Yeah others have said it's normal too, just wanted to double check
☺️ Your van looks lovely all Christmassy. 🎄 So pleased you managed to get your heater working! You would have froze if not!! Look forward to your next one. Stay Safe. X
Hi Tracey, that heater will be the death of me (Liam) haha! Thanks for watching 🙏
Love wild weather, not to be in it of course, but to look at from the safety from ones house.
Haha we can see your point of view 🤣🚐❄
On wow....love it....not far from me...🤗 love your vids x
Done the mam -tor walk many times
Love I there
Great video
Thank you 💚🚐
Hi to you both, in a recent video you mentioned issues with condensation and any solutions.
Hi Paul, we are starting to be persuaded about this window vac thing, especially hearing that we can get a mini one 😀
I'll second this! karcher window cleaner is always in our camper!
You need a small wood stove in your van... they are fantastic! 🔥
Would love to, apparently our van is probably too small for it
Condensation in vans.. Wouldn't a few vents with fans in them help?
Got one, and just added two more 🙏
That pathway is amazing. The construction must of been a challenge. 🇨🇦
The 'oil' is diesel......could be blocked filter.
Changed the filter and no luck 😭
Love Mam Tor. Stay warm you two.🎄
Hi Helen, thank you, we are trying 🤣🚐❄
