      Do the 2021's have the updated wiring harness. They used too thin of wires in them and they were replacing then with a complete harness that has thicker wires under warranty.
      Also I know of 3 beta 2 strokes that blew up around 50 hours of trail riding.
      But then I have a 2022 KTM 300 XC TPI that had no power and misfired from day one. It has seized 2 times and is at the dealer now as KTM authorized them to diagnose it again. It has 7 hours on it. Ran 5 minutes on the 1st motor rebuild (piston kit, cylinder and crankshaft kit). Not happy.

    • @human1513
      @human1513 2 года назад +1

      KTM SX 125 and I think the 150 also are blowing, snapping the connecting rod.
      KTM has a recall on them to reprogram or replace the wrong programmed CDI box that is the root of the problem.
      This is very recent one.

      I'd suggest signing up for a demo ride. I can honestly tell you that you'd be amazed with a 250 tpi. I would assume that by your comment and your age you would really benefit from the move upwards and fall in love. Imagine no spooge, no fouled plugs (mostly) and no mixing gas among other benefits I wont mention...for spoiler reasons.

      @@xXxIcedaddyxXx I actually contacted my KTM dealer and I'm working out a trade for the Freeride E-XC. To be fair though, the TPI bikes have always been a fascination to me. Ive always hated carburetors and the weird power spikes and bogs that they give you. Fuel (& Oil) injection is just that much better, especially in a 2 stroke situation. Had the Freeride not-existed, I would've most definitely went the TPI route.
      P.S all my friends ride TPI bikes so don't worry, i will be swapping back and forth on the trails :)

    I think the TPI problem in the USA is related to gasoline ⛽️, in Europe we use 95-98 and here we have no problems with failures or low power! Try race fuel ⛽️ with more than 95 oc!

    • @mikearrowood3187
      @mikearrowood3187 2 года назад +2

      The UK, like much of the rest of the world, use a different octane rating system than the US. There are two ways to rate octane, the Research Octane Number (RON), and the Motor Octane Number (MON). I won't get into how those work, Wikipedia will do a much better job. Anyway, the UK uses the RON number, where as here in the US we use a different system called the Pump Octane Number (PON), which is basically an average of RON and MON. You may even see something like "R+M/2=P" on some pumps in the US. 95 RON is very similar to our 87 PON.

    This was obvious 300 bait. Can't say anything wrong about the 300cc except the opinion on the 250cc tpi. They don't all gurgle and leave you hopelessly longing for a 300. You and most people would never know any different if I put you on my 250 tpi and told you it was a 300. So far to this day, nobody has proved that wrong.

    The new TPI bikes are garbage. due to emissions they went backwards instead of forwards. Anyone thats had a 2017-2019 carb ktm/husky knows that was the pinnacle of how good these bikes could be and tpi is strickly for emissions only and does not make it a better bike. They have literally ruined the legendary 300 two stroke bikes with emissions, and if you notice more and more professional riders are using the 350 4strokes in many places where the 300 2 stroke dominated.

    I'm sure you boys would be in a position to borrow a carbed 250, I mean look at the choices, yz, tm, beta, sherco, reiju. Then include it in the lineup, you could do the same with the 300, that would be a good comparison.
