I am planning this trip for next October getting on the Allure of the seas. I am glad I found this channel because I had questions about the weather. I have the idea about my flight too early to book. Then I will be looking at hotel because I am flying in two days before an direct flight from New Jersey. So I have a year to prepare an learn this will be my first time traveling to Europe. The price of the cruise I can' t pass up and the price of the flight is pretty reasonable.
Questions about the weather come up often. Best advice I can give you is to pack with layers in mind. Bring t shirts, shorts, long sleve shirts, a sweater and a rain jacket. The weather is unpredictable and you will likely encounter warm days to cooler nights.
So we are doing this cruise in like 30 days. How was the weather coming across from Barcelona to Northern America. We set sail October 24th. Curious We're the pools open?
weather was unpredictable. We expeienced warm, sunny days, cloudy days that would become sweater weather in the evenings. We experieced calm seas and a couple of high swell days. Best to be prepapred for everything from hot and sunny to cool and rainy. Pools and hot tubs were open most days. A couple days they were closed and emptied during the rough sea days. In fact, the doors to any outside deck were closed too. We will actually be sailing from Florida to Lisbon on October 25th. A rare east bound transatlantic. Bon Voyage!
I can spot myself in a few of the clips! Was our first ever cruise ❤ did you vlog any more of the sailing? If so I can’t wait to watch the videos and remember the great trip
Our first Transatlantic too. What a fun two weeks!! I do have a few more videos in the works and a few already uploaded. Nassau video here: ruclips.net/video/568fe3fPttk/видео.html
Interesting question. What I was looking from the cruise may be different than others. I used to do wine reviews and avoided a rating scale. So here are a few thoughts. The Enchantment of The Seas is an older ship and does not have some of the onboard ammendities that the newer ships do. But that was ok for us, if you want more dining options, flo riders, water slids, this might affect your rating. That said, we loved the this ship. She has been well looked after and the crew were the best. Transatlantic cruises are different with all the sea days. If you are looking for more ports this might effect your rating. We loved the seas days and really were able to relax and unwind. Perhaps if asked would we do this cruise again knowing what we know now and the answer is a definate yes! Thank you for your question. Gary
