There was an old theory in some of 40k circles that the Tyranids were the Old Ones returning.
Yea, but it doesn't pass as a great theory, them being a weapon makes more sense
Literally halo’s floods
I think Flood is much worse
@@TheLostPrimarch
Old ones: *throw a bone* Fetch!
Tyranids run off.
Tyranids return to the galaxy: *sad puppy noises, and growling at the new house owners…*
@@TheLostPrimarchThat is because the last Old One mutated himself into the Hive Mind to escape the Enslavers.
I like the theory that the last old one left created the tyranids to cleanse the galaxy
And that they are the hive mind.
I believe in the Old Ones/Bioweapon theory. A great way for the Necrons to be denied any way for them to get new bodies.
A more likely reason for the Old Ones to create the Tyranids would be to deny souls for the C'tan to feed on, since that was what they were doing during the War in Heaven and it is unlikely that the Old Ones would place the Necrontyr's regret over biotransferrence as anywhere close to a strategic goal, since even if they knew about it, the fact that the entire Necron race was united under the Silent King's command protocols during the war rendered such a morale objective rather moot.
This video is definitely the warhammer 40,000
lol
a video on genestealer cults would be interesting , perhaps how cults interact with other races , or the moments in the lore in which the Tyranids interacted with races other than the imperium
Like the starting phase of the cult would be an interesting topic, I will make a note of that
Read the book Pharos. The Pharos beacon was found and activated calling the Tyranids. It even says in the boo once it was activated the hive mind became "awake".
Likely a bio-weapon that turned on their creators in their home galaxy.
Have we considered yet that the tyranids, Krave, enslavers, and Rangda are the same species at different forms of development?
Interesting but unlikely
This drops during an eclipse.... interesting....
Here's my theory: They were like the Precursors from Halo, peaceful aliens that instead of using artificial machinery like us, they grow living beings and use them as tools, and one day a small group of them decided to explore other galaxies despite the lack of faster-than-light tech, and decided to go full generational ship until they eventually crashland on something, and millenium after millenium the dudes went through so much genetical change they eventually forgot where they were heading to, turning them into savages creatures extremely hungry from the millions of years of intergalactic travel only surviving by constantly reutilizing the mass found in the ship.
Btw since were talking about intergalactic travel, probably started travelling to our galaxy far before the war in Heaven
I would love the fact that the Tyranids are just simply animal species that just became the dominant species in their original Galaxy and they sought out more Galaxy and become an outer galactic threat to other galaxies, and them being a weapon created by the Old Ones feels a bit of a cop out and too simple of explanation.
Well both theories are great in the end
I disagree. Them just being animals is by far more boring and a cop-out explanation of their origin.
@@stariswartorn in the Milky Way Galaxy in the 40k Catachan alone has pretty terrifying in creating some horrific monsters in the form of their wildlife and that not mentioning the thousands of other death worlds that produces some of the most deadliest creatures in the Galaxy, so just imagine how absolutely bonkers the wildlife of others galaxies will be and supersize it by the consumption of many other galaxies and than you have the vagues description of the Tyranids and what they truly are.
Eould be interesting if Tyranids were created by some other species as a bioweapon to fight Old Ones, but they worked a little too well and ate whole galaxy before sending few scout Hive Fleets to find out what the Pharos Device explosion was.
But I like to think, that even though they were created as bioweapons, that worked a bit too well, it has nothing to do with Old Ones. They just consumed planets they were dropped onto by their creators to starve enemy species of tesources, but when their numbers grew, the Hive Mind did too until it found out how to lea e those planets (by using or mimmicking technology left on the planet) and took over galaxy, with every defeat being learning experience and they didn't stop consuming ever since.
Nice theory
Great video 🎉
Thanks!
I came for answers, none were given....
They're anti-daemons. Now you have an answer
So the bait worked
@@TheLostPrimarch Heresy! ^^

I forgot to mention that they might be fleeing :D
