I have to agree with pretty much everything that you said. I’m playing Dying Light 2 right now and enjoying the bow quite a bit. It lacks some (a lot) of realism but hey, I’ll take being able to carry 200 arrows in my quiver any day. And you know… it’s fun! My personal favorite was Farcry 5.
Far Cry Primal with disabled cursor is the best archery game. Bows are a bit weird looking, but the feeling of shooting is the same as with trad bow, you must learn to gap or be instinctive.
Idk i as someone who games and use a bow would like to see more games that incorporate bow accurately. Someone mentioned hunting games, and they are fun, but if you want abit of combat would be interesting to find games other than fantasy games that use bows.
Hunting games are great fun. But there's tones if shooter games that use bows, Days gone, cod, destiny, and a few more. But yes hunting games are more fun than most would think.
It's weird but doing archery made using the bow in Kingdom Come Deliverance easier. I think the arrow was loaded on the left but aiming was as if the arrow was loaded on the right side like asian or slavic.
I wouldn't quite say it had the Asiatic style aim. The arrow was on the left, but the arrow was not "drawn" to the eye like in most FPS games, so you had to gap shoot.
Played the first one, and F.C 3 but got very boring really quickly. One of the best games thats not a fantasy game ive played using a bow was DAYS GONE, and they even incorporated length so you had to compinsate for that. Fun game. Edit oh and how can i forget RED DEAD REDEMPTION, that has some cool bow gameplay in that to
@@Ivanhoe555 I've got Dying Light just not played it yet. Yep they say it's hung over his shoulder to his waist, there's one shot on reddit that barely show a quiver. It's actually a debating discussion amongst R.D.R fans, and how he shoots it on a horse to, what lb would it be etc.
For a not-a-review on Far Cry 6, it's quite spot on to an actual-review.
Sensei always hits his mark, even for an abstract target
Those arrows are traveling at like 1000 feet per second
Totally agree - Far Cry 4 is the only one I have kept playing. Pity the environment editor no longer works.

Id like to see you talk about some bows in VR, assuming you have a headset...
What about archery in multiplayer games like Team Fortress or Overwatch?

Maybe this doesn't fit the "pop" part of the name but have you considered hunting games?

I've put a bit of time into The Hunter Call of the Wild, but haven't touched it for years. Lots of good stuff there now.

@@NUSensei I just mean aiming, not the draw animation. I remember it being closer to that than Mediterranean.
Happy not to be a "ZOKKER"
Ghost of Tsushima
1:56 That is funny looking bow.😁
My dumb ass was trying to figure out where the bow you're talking about was.

days gone doesn't have a bow but a crossbow

Arrr yes you're correct 🤦♂️ well my comment was pretty useless then 😆

Apart from R.D.R I enjoyed using the bow in that 🙂
@@digitaldogs233 there was a bow in Dying Light. In RDR 2, I didn't like that he was pulling arrows from the pocket, not from the quiver

Far Cry 2 is where it's at.
Hell yes. Clint Hocking, the director of FC2, is brilliant. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is another stand out of his career.
Far cry Primal
FC2 Has no bows afaik
What about RDR2?
Horizon Forbidden West 💪🏼
