Great timing - a new TRY video just went up with me in it! 😂 Trying the Fire Ramen challenge- it was actually LOVELY: ruclips.net/video/9EARi2s_hgw/видео.html
I was impressed how you went right through those noodles. I might actually try them myself. Well Done!
yes indeed and in the comments Nicole said she actually went out and bought a few buckets cuz she really enjoyed those ones.
"I can get this into me, no problem" thata girl!!
Hello from Lake Tahoe California.🏞
I have a question what's the difference between Scottish Gaelic and Irish Gaelic?😎✌
You really should think of making Canada your destination the next time you come across the Atlantic. Americans will tell you that there's not that much difference, but there's a reason Americans sew a Canadian flag on their backpacks when they travel abroad. We have Healthcare, they don't. They have 9 times our population and 100 times the murders. Better country.
As a Japanese American who wasn't spoken to in Japanese growing up because my mom (3rd gen Japanese American) doesn't speak it, please, go ahead and speak Irish to your kid, at least some of the time. Having even a tiny bit of experience with it from a young age makes a HUGEEEE difference if they ever want to learn when they're older.
Of course, assuming Alex is ok with it.
Also, studies have shown that multi-lingual kids tend to be more successful in school :P
"i want to work with Ciara because..."I just want to see the carnage!" This is my new favorite saying.
I have so much fun when you and Dermot are paired because he just cracks you up constantly. 😂
Love your Q&As. You're very quick with your answers and so open and honest 💗 love ya!
Whenever I open RUclips now, a random video from your channel pops up. I enjoy your Q&A videos, and I wonder if you have any more. How relevant are your answers now, that it has been two years... I like this video a lot! 👍
100% speak Irish to your children!! Me and my boyfriend plan on taking Irish lessons to be able to speak it in the home for when we have kids ♥️🇮🇪
Excellent idea ❤ My mother tongue is not the main language in my country, and it is slowly dying out so I definetly plan to speak it to my kids when I eventually have them 🙂
Much respect for putting mine in there and answering it. Just remember... We love Alex cause we love you!
As someone from the USA your reaction was 100% correct. It’s a shitshow.
Could not have answered it better. Just UGGGHHHhh. *gag*
what an ignorant response from an American and part of the reason this is so troubling. These people who have not read anything from the founders or the constitution. Have no understanding that we have created a huge privileged class which uses divisiveness to misdirect from the actually problems. The "class" problem. Yes its poverty not race. Her response was valid for an Irish person however no American should respond that way.
@@tiffinal are you an American? Just curious...
@@tiffinal Except poverty too often connects to "race". And "race" was used to keep someone rich... And thereby someone else poor...or to keep someone powerful...and thereby... Yeah.
In the u.s., "race" is class.
but if you want to start handing out checks, I'll listen.
@@TheCdubbleyoo My mostly Scottish-Irish-English family in Appalachia would completely disagree with you. Who keeps Lebron James rich? How about Michelle Obama or Samuel L. Jackson? No, race isn't class. We do have people who benefit from the perception that race relations are bad, are getting worse, and that racism is endemic, so on, but that doesn't reflect reality. We need to stop getting our opinions regarding race relations from Twitter and go out and engage with others more on friendly terms. That's all.
Oh I have the first like. I feel lucky. I’m watching this now. I love your channel. Thank you for sharing
Wish you and Dermot got paired more often, one of the top pairings on Try IMO and needs to happen more. But agree, you and Ciara drinking would be fantastic!
So I'm older than Dermot, yes we exist. What I love about your channel, you share honestly. ( Well, and Millie too, can't lie I will always be a fan of someone who has the compassion and love for a fur kid.) You've got this, life is wasted if you don't go out and explore the options, just sayin!
You are beautiful 😍
For the record, many of us in America have that same reaction to what's going on here. Fun video Meg. :)
Election reaction was priceless 😂 I feel same way.
Thanks!
Oh! I grew up in the San Diego area! I lived in Kentucky too and now I live in Oregon!
Loved the video...kisses to Millie...you were fierce during that Fire Ramen Challenge.
Really cool to here you mention my hometown (Macon). I don't know if any jerseys are still available but an earlier name before Macon Bacon was Macon Whoopie. Love your channel. Peace+ Sean
Love Try Channel. Just stumbled upon your channel today...Thank you for putting in the time. You are a Hoot!
i'm glad you cleared up your name, cuz i thought i wasn't hearing the 'is' and it was some really subtle accent thing. lol
Hey, so about your book! I've been both traditionally published and self-published. I prefer the latter, but it's LOTS of work. I'm happy to answer ANY questions about the process, decisions, options, etc.
can i just say your my favorite out of all the try channel members which is why i had to see in you had a channel, and i am so glad i found it. much love from Williamsport Pennsylvania US.
You're more tolerant of some questions than I'd be! Love all your stuff, here and on Try - thanks for the entertainment in a shit year!
You are a beautiful soul and I love watching you on Try and just found this channel to. I wish I was in a position to help support you on Patreon, but I can't. Just keep smiling and helping people around the world to smile too. God bless you (I know you don't believe but I do, so it means more).
My grandmother is from County Clare by the name of Murray; and emigrated to Newfoundland way back when.
I am so late to the game of finding out you had your own channel!!
Love watching your try videos. Your so full of spit and vinegar, it is incredibly funny! One never knows what will come out of your mouth next.
Keep it up!
I appreciate that you love your language and culture. There's a quote in the Philippines about language:
“He who does not love his own language is worse than an animal and smelly fish.”
I like that you are not afraid to have an opinion on controversial topics. Keep it 100.
MIN is a combination language of the Gaelige Yurrf and Gunjaji inuitive languages. Proper names do exist but can only be discovered by others who speak by hearing the name from another speaker and actually understanding who it is...
Great Q&A 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I don't have problem understanding your accent, or anyone else's on the channel, but there's a big Irish influence where I'm from, including my Mom's family. Lol!
When I saw the Q about Mayo, I thought "fuck off, with your mayonnaise." 😂
have always wanted to visit Ireland... now I have a reason !!! to meet my favorite Try types !!! would love to meet you and Alex !!!
Hi Clisare, cool Q&A :) BTW, I think you should still be able to add subtitles on your own RUclips videos (they have "only" taken away the chance to the community - the viewers - to add translations in other languages) ...at least, this was what they said before the 28th of last month.
Yes but I wouldn't have the time as that would take me hours. Plus, the community captions allowed others to submit different languages, so shit that's gone!
the best out here!
Our cars and trucks are so big because the USA is almost 3100 miles across and Texas is 900 miles across by itself.
I saw you do the spicy ramen challenge on TRY. You said you love noodles and spicy food. You should try (no pun intended) Koka Stir Fried noodles. They are 🔥, but delicious.
Yes!! Irish Bucket List Book!! 🤞
After being hit, for the 3rd time, by dinguses not paying attention I swore I would never drive a smaller car again.
Driving with 18 wheeler trucks on the highway in a tiny car freaks me out too.
I drive an SUV now and it's considered a medium car. I love it because I'm higher up and can see much better. So I feel I can maneuver different situations better.
If I was in Europe I figure my mindset would be much different re: car size, but over here I want a "bigger" car for safety & peace of mind.
Just wanted to share my reasoning on my car choice here in the US. 😊💜💜😊
Thanks Clare
Learned something today: based on how certain Irish names are spelled and pronounced, I just assumed your name was actually spelled that way.
I always miss Ireland after watching your videos Clare! All the best to you, Alex and Millie. Fan sláintiúil ~M
I used to perform locally, so I get the whole friend thing, starting fresh and all when they have preconceived notions about you anyway. There was a young man who kind of fan boyed on me, when I introduced myself, him being an incredible talent himself. He said he remembered who I was from "back in the day." I smiled and said thank you, how kind when I really wanted to snatch the scraggly boy beard off his chin. Now a few years later, we are outside circle friends, with admiration for each other.
Dermot and Clisare solving riddles is the best
Georgia boy here. Just wanted to shout out that I appreciate you have both of the Coastal Plain League's Georgia teams' hoodies in your closet. Georgia likes to get fun with names and mascots compared to other southern states, but minor league baseball, in general, has the best mascots in my opinion.
The 3rd team from around where I grew up would be great for your collection too, and they're actually from north Florida. So if you see any Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp hoodies go for it! (Honorable mention to Rocket City Trash Pandas, and the Birmingham Biscuits)
You're awesome!
Seriously one of my favorite Try peeps, not that that means anything to you but... Whatevs
Why are our cars so big? Size matters? 😁
Ok, I drive a Ford F250 because when I bought it, I had a boat that needed a larger truck to pull it & it has a backseat for my dogs, for the 250 mile (each way) trip. I also live in a more rural area of Michigan, US and snow.... so, imo, 4X4 is a must. **I was also eligible for Ford A plan at the time 😃
Fun Q&A. Thanks.
Millie is such a sweetheart!
I know this is an older video but I'm very happy I came across it! For your "strange love" for weird school mascots. There is the "Santa Cruz Banana Slugs" in Santa Cruz California.
I like all the Try shows that your on. My favorite is the Krispy Kreme video. Thanks for being a nice person.
First time seeing you outside Try & have to say you are adorable❣
If you like obscure teams, Delta State unofficial name is the Fighting Okra. And check out the mascot to the Rhode Island School of Design. I'll leave that mascot as a surprise.
Thanks for the video!
Just subscribed. Cheers from Iowa ❤️💜💛💙💚
Amazon (Kindle) Print on Demand is a pretty straight forward process. The biggest thing is the formatting. I publish kids books and its a pain in the ass every time - ESPECIALLY if you're including images. Best bet is to use the in house software, or go via Microsoft word and pre-size your pages before you even start. (I am also on the you tubes - feel free to hit me up if you have any follow up questions)
Wait...so Alex is Michael Scott?? It all makes sense now.
Great video Clare! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only down side is I thought of a question for you that I have been wondering about for a while. Perhaps you will do this again and I can finally get it answered
What is it 👀
Clisare ok..you were in the first video for durian fruits first appearance...then a while later you appeared in another video and you seemed like you had no clue what it was. In fact you called yourself a durian virgin...so it made me wonder what happened..I chalked it up to a memory lapse but how could you forget eating that.
I absolutely adore you. ❤️
Would love to see you go on a paranormal investigation in the future, I imagine that would be great. Also what ancestry sites are you on? I am convinced we are related (although I have no concrete reason to think so, hahah :-)
I love island life as well.
Ha Ha the Carnage! Ciara can knock’em back. She can drink with the best of them so good on ya for trying to keep up! 😆 Love your vids!
Your my favorite firecracker and Irish try person
I love the paranormal, would love to come to Ireland and haunt a castle or two, especially Leap Castle.
How about the Tuatha Dé Danann, and the fairies? Ancient beliefs and stories are often embraced as meaningful to those with a strong cultural identity. As a speaker of the Irish language, are you also interested in that history and tradition?
good on you my dear.
Please do a video about Spice Bags. What's bog standard? What makes one better than another and what do folks like on the side? All the spice bag questions you think no one would care about I want to know. FYI James Mitchell from Try did an excellent video on how to make it at home.
Clare, I thought your favourite try food was the Greek gyros & chips. Your reaction in the video was like a door had opened to a new world.
Oh yeah! Tbf it's really hard to think of stuff when asked, because there's been so much nice stuff and so much terrible stuff! Popcorn is my favourite thing in the whole world though 😊
The show Heroes had a character named Claire and her nickname from her screen father was Claire Bear which I thought was cute. :)
My baseball team, the Angels, have a minor league affiliate whose name is the Rocket City Trash Pandas. They have the cutest little raccoon in a trashcan as their logo. If the concept of a disposable income ever introduces itself to me I'll be sure to send you one!
Loved it! I missed the question submission.... does Irish have a saying you could teach us like "I don't speak Irish?" Please give Millie a pet for me.
I found you on the Try Channel and think you are brilliant. While I like Alex, you are the reason I watch. I just think Alex seems like someone to go out with for a few cans.
fuckin adore ur humor and self positivity...
The Santa Cruz Banana Slugs is one of my favorite team names! :)
My ancestors are from Galway! One of the main families from there.
One excellent way to raise bilingual kiddos is for one parent to primarily speak one language with them, and the other speak another. I'm in favour!
omg MEEZ!
the Birmingham Biscuits, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp- More teams to check out.
Pensacola Blue Wahoo's as well...
I've been a subscriber long enough that I know your age, and I figure that puts me ahead of some. Me?, I'll be 69 in January, disabled, and my plumbing doesn't work! I have been a working musician fo 55 years, but 5 strokes have caused me to retire. I was born in San Diego, and moved to Colorado in 2009.
As someone who uses subtitles everyday (because I ruined my ears) i am so sad to see so many shows no longer easy for me to enjoy.
For some reason I just found you on RUclips. I subscribed. I would have shared on Facebook but they banned me for 30 days for telling someone off. I gotta learn to do that less.
I would keep gifts under $50. I got hit with customs fees for a $58 value package, but not a $48 package.
Great Video!
Absolutely adore you, you are so funny, and beautiful (hopefully that is not taken in a creeper way) i just feel people need to be more kind to each other and especially females need to boost each other up. Thank you for your time allowing us into your world
I'm a fan of the Try Channel. Starting to realize many of you have awesome talents and interesting channels. cYa soon
Love the content! You are funnier than Alex. And your great energy is a joy to behold. Later gator.
I’m bilingual with a mother who speaks a language my father doesn’t speak. We would always speak that language with my mother. I know many bilingual families that work like that. Especially when there’s a side of the family that doesn’t speak the main language and it would be hard to communicate otherwise. But I suppose that’s not the case with you, since both families will speak English.
Love you here in Eagle River, Alaska. I think you're very funny and yet tough. Do you need another Grandmother?
I don’t have any left so yeah you can be my honorary Granny 💕
We do have Tag Rugby in Galway.
Yes, I said you don't have it in winter, which you didn't in 2016 when I played for Galway County 😂
There's a college team in california, The UC Santa Cruz banana slugs. You need their merch
Love your channel
I've been a subscriber from the start "shite Irish girls say" and I've always pronounced it cle-sare not clis-air 🤣.
I'm in Maryland USA. We have Mayo Beach. Small town.
If you released your Irish Bucket List book on Amazon Kindle I would read it. You get paid a little each time someone reads it instead a straight fee no matter how many read it. Great info, thanks.
Chris Bricky yes my family is from Ireland, we even have an Irish Club the Brickey Rangers with our name. :)
why is my last name misspelled, well my father was born in a very rural area during the depression and did not have a birth certificate, the US Army gave us the last name misspelled and refused to change or correct it since they do not make mistakes.
Good Luck with the Rugby.
Chris
Health Care is not free, you pay for it with your taxes. If you pay taxes its not free, if you are on the dole, then yeah its free. :)
Could you imagine driving back roads with a US vehicle? I’d have a panic attack. (And I’m from the US)
I travel back roads all the time. It happens when you live in a small Southern area, and they aren't for the faint of heart, especially during deer season.
It can be bad. Especially winding two lane mountain roads with no guard rail on one side and a wall of mountain on the other. I've only ever driven sedans, but it still felt like I was taking up a lane and a half. I can't imagine how you get 2 trucks passing each other.
the glitter under your eyes are freaking me out
love you
I studied abroad at the University of Limerick about 10 years ago and I took Irish while I was there, any suggestions to videos or websites that will help me keep up with Irish because I feel like I'm forgetting it? :(
Loving your TikTok channel too
have them label values like the chinese offer when you order stuff ." should we set value to 5 dollar and rest as special order fee ? " well yes please :)
no worries my pretty Las. I hope you Husband loves you Dearly.
Thank you for explaining you name, it was really bugging me. I’m trying to learn Irish pronunciations and that’s one less I have to worry about!!
In America, large cars are status symbols. Large cars say how much money the driver can pay for a car and the gas (petrol). it takes to run it. Driving these big "gas-guzzlers," adding to the pollution and the country's dependency on foreign oil, shows that the driver is aloof to the concerns of the "common" people.
