Soothe2 and Gullfoss are both essential plugins for me too. Pro-Q 3 is another essential. I also love Goodhertz Wow Control - it's not an essential mixing plugin, but it's great for adding some lovely randomised modulation to tracks.
Would be curious to see a video on how you organise your files and everything, particularly on if/how you use any online file storage too! Sure there must be a simplified way of this but the constant in-flow of new project files and sample packs seems tough to organise helpfully.
The one that standed the most to me was the Gullfoss VST. I would defenetly choose that one first. Thank you for showing us this incredible and fun vsts! Thank you Mondo
Totally agree with what you said about not finishing projects because you’re slow and inefficient. Some of my favorite songs that I’ve made were done in a pretty timely manner. Now I think a huge part of that was how I was able to efficiently pump out my creativity. Great stuff, Mondo! Keep it coming!
Yoo man, defo won't regret it - really solid headphones! I usually just throw it on when I'm doing the final mix, I should probably get into the habit of using it throughout though!
@@MondoLoops good to know! Are you at a point where you'd trust those headphones for a final master check? I'm travelling a lot atm and can't get any consistent studio space, so hoping to use them for giving my last say on yes/no to masters for Spotify...
@@SamCisco 100% regarding the final master, my studio acoustics are so far off i'd trust them more than the monitors in all honesty - especially with SoundID just helping flatten it a little!
I just recently started making lofi and also started going to school again to learn production and mixing. It's hard, but your video's help me to get inspiration to become better. For me right now i wouldnt want to miss on Pro q3, and i would defenitely try Gullfoss or Sonarworks.
Thanks Mondo for the informative video! I can relate to spending too much time on my tracks and getting tired of them. I'd love to see a detailed video of how you use soothe2 and gullfoss to mix. I trialed soothe2 after one of your tutorials but felt I could get more out of that plugin. Favourite vst I'd get out of the ones you listed is soothe2
Also, how are you liking the DT 1990s? I've heard some people say that they're a bit too bright/harsh sounding in the upper midrange and treble frequencies, but then other people swear by them. I'm assuming you don't find them overly bright?
A lot of great points in this video. My music is usually fingerstyle arrangements of video game music, however I've taken a serious liking to Lofi recently, and while I'm curious about Soothe, I actually really love the idea of the reference plugin.
Yesss another mixing tutorial :) I have a lot to learn. Soothe 2 is one I have my eye on for when I’m able to spend some more money on music, but Kontakt is the first VST in line for me. Curious to know what you think of AI mastering services such as LANDR.
Interesting Mondo. Yea i just use the stock plugins that Logic comes with lol. The only plugins i’ve bought are RC20 & Fragment. Not sure if i’m hurting my mixes or not but i’ve found i can do most things stock. I would like to mess with Soothe2 though to see how it stacks up against Logics tools.
TrackSpacer was definitely a game changer for me. It's so easy to use! I do find value in learning how compression works, generally speaking, but sometimes you just need something that takes all the guess work out so you can get on with the fun stuff. Soothe 2 and Gullfoss look amazing! Hope to try them soon... Thanks Mondo for doing what you do! I've learned so much from your videos and owe you one my friend 😉
Gulfoss definitely the king here! Thanks for the video :)
Really enjoyed this Mondo! Soothe is defo on my list to pick up next!

what’s the difference between ProQ3 and Soothe 2?
Probably Soothe 2, looks crazy
I would love to see more footage from you building your studio and/or maybe a studio tour! Great video as always!
Definitely Soothe 2. Great video as always. Thanks for sharing your expertise with us. 🙌🏻
Another mix tutorial cool! The last one i think , a great tool!
Thank you for this and all of your videos. My pick would be Soothe2 🙏

I haven´t tried Soothe 2 yet but seems to be an amazing and helpful vst! Thanks for sharing this man

Great video again. I definitely need to get Soothe 2! Thanks.
Absolute gold
Planning on getting soothe 2 on Black Friday. Tried the demo and it’s a game changer
Soothe2 seems very handy! Thanks :)

Soon as I’m back from SE Asia I’m fully creating all my ideas for my Lofi tracks. These videos help a lot, I’d have to get the Gullfoss.
Just ordered myself a pair of DT1990 Pros (based on a few other videos too), do you use your pair with or without SoundID Reference?
Yoo man, defo won't regret it - really solid headphones! I usually just throw it on when I'm doing the final mix, I should probably get into the habit of using it throughout though!

Soothe2 is definitely the one for me. Been struggling with unwanted resonance with my pianos which soothe would be great for
Soothe2 is the one I would need first I think. Awesome summary sir 👍🏻

Soothe2 is one of a kind 👍
Soothe 2 has absolutely changed my music for the better. Absolute favorite plugin of all time
Trackspacer is the only one I don't have, guess that would be the one I'd buy feom this list ! Thanks for the discovery bro
Gullfoss and Soothe 2 are defintly the game changer

Saving up for open back headphones now! If I were to start over again, I think I would by Ozone Elements first, or Soothe 2.
omg... i needed this ahaha🥰
I need to try Soothe 2. Everyone says it’s a game changer. I’m currently using the dynamic EQ feature on ProQ3 to do something similar.
Have been looking to get Soothe 2 for so long now, would be great to have it in my arsenal! :)
🙏🙏thank you for the information
Great Video man :))
That sweatshirt is so hard bro 😮💨
Soothe 2 is the winner for me 😍
i have a beyerdynamic for 6 years kno, it's such a great gear also i think soothe is the best plugin of this video
Soothe2 has been on my "wants" list for a year or two
soothe 2 definitely would be nice to isolate frequencies easily
Gullfoss is defs a game changer, I use it all the time on my master
I'd definitely have to choose sooth 2
The first plugin would be a life saver
If I have the extra money, I would probably buy Oeksound Soothe 2. I tried it once at my friends house and it's just an innovative plugin.
Soothe 2. Being able to isolate frequencies would be very helpful.
Good recommendations.. gotta get soothe 2 on sale
Soothe 🙌🏻
I have my eyes on trackspacer, even if you can do the same on pro q3 with the "make dynamlic " thing.
Anyway, thanks for the tips :)
Heard a lot about the Gullfoss, that would be number one on my list
Do you gain stage when making your lofi?
I really like Ozone 9. Anyone use that? Or like Isotope?
Interesting Mondo. Yea i just use the stock plugins that Logic comes with lol. The only plugins i’ve bought are RC20 & Fragment. Not sure if i’m hurting my mixes or not but i’ve found i can do most things stock. I would like to mess with Soothe2 though to see how it stacks up against Logics tools.
Soothe2 for sure
I now use Trackspacer and gulfoss on everything I make.
Would have to say Pro Q and Ozone Advanced. some of the functions and sculptability with ozone is just unmatched
Soothe 2 would be top of my list
I would choose soothe2 ❤😊
soothe2 for sure
soothe 2 sounds really interesting
I'd go for Soothe2
Love soothe
Soothe 2 please 🙏
youlean loudness meter 2
Soothe2
Best vst - Realphones 1.8
Ozone 9
Soothe2. Tried the demo and it was great
