      Mindy's Mom You are so smart, sister! I understood some of it, but I still needed the subtitles, so I am grateful for Satoshi for providing them! The kamameshi looks so good! Sending hugs to you, friend!

      Erin Uber.......It’s awesome that you understood some of what was said sister!!! I grew up with my mom and dad speaking Japanese to each other. My mom would speak Japanese to me, and I would always answer back in English. I became fluent in speaking, when we spent 3 months in Japan, when I was 11. I never lost the ability to understand. I did, however, lose the ability to speak Japanese properly. I can speak just enough to get around........
      ((Hugs)) to you too sister! ❤️

    • @erinuber2881
      @erinuber2881 6 лет назад +1

      Mindy's Mom I think your parents gave you a gift by speaking Japanese at home, so that you could hear it, and also taking you to Japan when you were 11. It's good that you can understand it, and I bet you would regain your ability to speak it more easily again quickly, since you were once fluent. It is such a help to hear another language when you are young.
      It probably helped me that the topic of these videos is usually food! I am more familiar with food and cooking topics in Japanese. Ha ha ha! ;-) I wonder how that happened?!?!??! :-)
      Have a good week, sister! Hugs!

    What a treat to have a new video from you, Satoshi-san! Oh, I love kamameshi, but I've never tried making it myself. And true to your channel's title, your recipe was really easy to follow. I can’t wait to try making this myself. And how beautiful your finished dish looked with Erin's lovely homemade potholder! Thanks for the recipe, and I hope you’re both settling in after returning from Hawaii.

    Fantastic cuts on the vegetables. The cooking apparatus looks like something I once did with an outdoor fire pit table, gardening bricks, a grill grate, and vessel for shabu shabu. It worked well. Nice to see you posting again! Nice to see you too Mindy's Mom and Erin.

      はい!!更新しました~!やるやる詐欺じゃないっすぅ~! 結構簡単なんですよ。火加減だけ注意すれば誰でもできます。おぎのやさんのHPにもご飯の炊き方は載ってるくらいだから、火に掛けるのはお店公認なんですよね。お店ではご飯と具は別々に炊いて合わせるみたいですけど、それより一気に作ってみたいもんね~。プレッシャーを受けて、これからも頑張りますよ!

    おぎのやの釜で釜飯を炊いた事ないです、美味しそうに炊けますね✨
    私はお粥さんを炊く時に使った事があります
    今は釜在庫ゼロですー😭
    高崎だるま弁当容器なら2つあるw

    • @kantanfood
      @kantanfood  6 лет назад

      炊けるんですよ~。火加減の調整だけで、あとは鍋で炊くのとあまり変わらなく炊けます。ちょっとお焦げが付いたりして、またこれが美味しいです。あと、釜飯だと3/4合が限界ですね。1合炊くと溢れちゃいました。東京駅で釜飯売ってるそうです。だるま弁当、お弁当箱には面白いですね。僕らが買ってきたのはプラスチックだったので、料理はちょっとムリかなあ。。またアップしますよ~

    Just discovered your KantanFood, Satoshi. I'm so glad you are doing these videos. Can you cook this clay pot kamameshi in an oven or on an induction stove top?

    • @kantanfood
      @kantanfood  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you for watching my video! You can use this clay pot in an oven but unfortunately it doesn't work on induction stove. I have same problem about it. Usually I use induction stove for video but this time I used real fire. That's the reason why. Once again, thank you very much!
