Just doing a drive-by suggestion. You guys should one day react to The Leftovers. It's showrunner also did Lost and it has a lot of overlap with the themes in Lost. It's imo a spiritual successor to Lost and its incredible.

This is quite possibly one of my favorite movies and I recommend it to everyone, it didn't get nearly enough love and Henry is so damn good in this. The editing, humor, music, I love everything here. I'm glad so many of the jokes landed so well and it's always fun to watch people appreciate how Guy Ritchie puts together an action sequence because he really is a master at it. The chemistry is really the biggest sell for me though, I totally buy in to the slowly developing friendship and can see is progressing into the relationship in the show.

Neither of us are big action movie watchers, but we didn't want to see a romcom, for obvious reasons, and this was in theatres so I was like f it, Henry Cavill is in it, we like him - one of the best decisions I'd made, we loved it, and it did its job, served as a perfect distraction. Such a shame it wasn't more popular at the time.

This is one of my favourite films of all time. It's not the greatest, but Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer as Solo and Kuryakin is comedy gold. I was in stitches from start to finish. It's good to see you guys enjoying it too.

One of my favourite movies of that year. Mainly because I saw it in a half empty theatre and had a blast. Cavill and Hammer’s chemistry is so good.

Really glad you guys watched this! I stumbled across it a few years back and thought it was a great popcorn movie. For not being specifically a comedy, there is also a lot of humor and sharp dialogue.

The car in the beginning is a Trabant 601. It was produced in East Germany, so I can excuse confusing it with a Lada (even though they don't look that much alike but they do have the "eastern block" look to them for sure).
Funny fact about the Trabant - it's made from duroplast, which is basically kinda like fiberglass but is basically reinforced plastic with some cardboard fibers in the mix of the compound. My grandad told me this story that once he was riding with a friend that had a Trabant at the time and a hunting party scared some wild boars towards the road. A boar jumped in front of the car and they crashed into it. The boar just stood up, grunted and continued on his merry way. My grandad and his friend got out of the car, looked at the heavily dented front hood, opened it wide, punched and kicked it a couple of times to settle it back into a proper shape, after which just got back in the car and continued on their way. We jokingly referred to the Trabant as carton on wheels. Grandad had a killer orange Moskvich at the time, so I was team Moskvich all the way and we jokingly referred to the Trabant as carton on wheels.

The smaller car in the beginning is not a Lada, it is a Trabant, also called Trabbi. It is a Car-brand (they had 2) from the DDR, German Democratic Republic. They had to wait years to get one ^^

This was an attempt to resurrect *style* in movies. The TV show was silly 1960s spy sci-fi ("spy-fi") but had good main actors. (Illya Kuryakin was played by David McCallum, now best known as Dr Mallard from NCIS.)

How lucky is Alicia Vikander? Gets to work with Hugh Grant, Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer. Married to Michael Fassbender. That is a lot of Man Meat right there!
