This is the true Django sound and intention! The sound that all gypsy guitarists should look for! Less notes, more heart.

yea but what is the point to think you're doing like Django ? He is not django, he should just play his thing.. Even if Django's style is amazing, no one should try to copy that.. But taking inspiration yes for sure. At the beginning, when i started listenning him, i was totally amazed, truely touched in my heart by the beauty and spontaneity of Django's intentions. At the point i was completely absorbed by the idea of copying him with my own guitar while i was barely starting the instrument. But then what ? I define myself by being a copist of Django ? No, so i went in many other directions (american jazz, modern jazz, funk etc..) Nevertheless, respect to his job, he has very good technique to copy more or less Django's sound. I also respect the fact we all have very unique and different personalities and it's the most amazing thing about human beings, but come on man, it feels like if you could teleport to 1930 and live there, you would do. Clothes, house decorations, even hairstyle.. Maybe that's your dream. I mean i wouldnt mind to actually go make a tour in old egypt, old greece, light century etc.. But that is different, it's just about the curiosity of questionning i have about how the world and people were doing at these times. Might be one of the most fascinating thinking, but we will never be able to reach it physically of course. Thank to archeology, or more recently photos, broadcastings, writtings, we can almost "feel" some part of human kind history..

@@gael5609Believe it or not but even Django copied his style from others but just added his own things to it. So if you wanna be and play like Django. Copying django and making new music and ideas to guitar playing is the most django thing you could do.

Love your stuff! I'm thinking about buying your course on soundslice, one question though. Do you talk much about the rhythm playing (chord voicings, time feel, etc), in an interactive, play along kind of way? Or is it more focused on lead guitar paying.
