It's almost like they knew that the screen flipping ability would make the final phase hard so they made an alternative version of the final phase for those who want an easier time with the final phase

Bro Mortimer Freeze is the only boss that I haven't been able to beat on simple or regular
I found a secrets phase where Esther freezes and stays frozen without attacking. Definitely hardest boss phase ever

I ran into it on accident, too.
I thought that it was just part of the fight.
Some one told me while I was trying to beat this boss and it was literally the only way I was able to beat because I’m just that bad at the game

This one is probably the easiest to trigger by accident out of all the secret phases

@@TheActualAqua yeah but the mini plane doesn’t help much in the sarcophagus phase and you wouldn’t use it in the transition animation so it’s less likely than this one
@@Cherry_coke_pop pretty sure you only have to hit it for like a couple frames for it to trigger. It's less likely but not batshit impossible like the other 2

Fr, Im trying like so hard to get the alt phase, I wont have to deal with the annoying screen rotation
@@agedmilk the screen rotation gets easy to handle if you keep calm and don't get overwhelmed

It's actually insane how much easier the secret phase is. When I accidentally got it I was so confused but thrilled I didn't have to deal with the screen rotation.

I think this secret phase is easier than the actual final phase. That screen rotating really throws me off!
This secret phase is honestly alot more easier than the normal phase, I accidentally stumbled by this secret phase once but died. Now I kniw how to get it.
Another fact about cuphead dlc: if you get the bad ending there's no backwards version of that title screen music and Ms Chalice dissappears

a actually noticed that some of the unused shooting sounds actually were used as some of the new weapons shooting sound, listen closely to the converge weapons firing sounds
Root Pack has a secret phase don't attack the onion. Djimmi The Great also has a secret phase turn small right after the coffin phase ends. Sally Stageplay also has one when she sends pink hearts parry it and stand on both babies. Howling Aces secret phase is atack puppies until all puppies have grey smoke. (do not kill one)

How to for the lazy:
Get all of the Yankee Yippers (the jetpack dogs) down to 20 percent health, indicated by the jet smoke turning dark grey.
I'm not sure my copy has exhaust particles on the dogs.
Off topic but, I find that boss’s animations and style so impressive. Don’t get me wrong all of the bosses in this masterpiece of a game are awesome, it’s just crazy to me that they have such a chaotic boss while also having everything HAND DRAWN. I say this boss cause I feel like it really exemplifies it, but all of them are really really impressive
One charge shot, one close range crack shot. Aim for the center puppy when the phase begins. Do the same for others.

It's actually alpt easier because it does fli0 the screen, if you're having trouble with the regular one, try it
There a secret death insult quote for giemie the great you have to use the twin heart then get the extra hearts from giemie the great then fight giemie the great and die on the last phase

An easier way to remember this is by just attacking the pups until all of the smoke in their keys turn black

Easiest Boss : Moonshine Mob
Hardest Boss : Esther Winchester
Weirdest Boss : The Howling Aces
Best Boss : Glumstone the Giant
Worst Boss : Mortimer Freeze
Esther was the easiest for me and Moonshine was the hardest for me.

If you didn't kill the gnomes in first phase, The Second Phase Will Have
Gnomes Throwing the pickaxes in the boomerang Like. And the puppets will be Gnomes.
If You didn't hit Ice popsicles in first phrase, the Snow Golem will Throw a mini Snowman that shoots Little snowballs at you.

I'd say they're equally difficult One just requires a bit more reaction time
I am kinda a noob at cuphead, I started playing about a month ago, and beat the base game, so I went on to the DLC, and have beat everything except for the king’s court (excluding the pawns) and chef saltbaker. I knew about the secret phase before I got cuphead, and didn’t think to attempt to get it. I tried doing doggone dogfight, but kept on failing over and over again bc of the lasers and sidewaysness. Then I accidentally engaged the secret phase and it was so damn easy. The only problem was that it took a long time to complete, and brought down my grade by a lot. So if you are having trouble with the last stage, and don’t care about what grade you get, go for it. But if you want to get an A or an S, you’re just gonna have to try harder.

I played and beat that lvl in 10 minutes. Then when I went to s rank everything, when I got to that phase I did not expect the screen to change directions like that and instantly became the third hardest. Second being freeze, first being cow girl. Honestly, apart from the first phase salt baker is easy for me.
I ran into it by accident too and let me just say that in my opinion the secret version of the fight is a lot more easier than the original

21%? Well that's a really specific number... Ahh, probably because they need to be from 20% to 0%, and if it was less than 20%, then it would start from 19% to 0%, and that's just inconvenient.
