This engine can be purchased and shipped through Ombwarehouse.com for right around $300 including the Limited Coil, throttle linkage and a BIG Bertha chain guard. Fatbuddycat it's good to see you back
Thanks!
I always wondered how my pro would have been with rear suspension I've got to get my street tires mount Sunday so I can finish my motovox stretch big brake kit throwing a ducar on it for now should be fun
I love this engine so far. Easy to start but as soon as you hit the throttle it's noticeably a performer, right down to the exhaust note.
That thing is mint Buddy
It's high class for a mini bike, I'm only doing simply mods by replacing the factory parts with higher quality ones. It rides like a luxury SUV. Wide and comfortable.
@@fatbuddycat Hell yeah....Stage Nasty🤙
Ahhh my first not my last ....my everything the Ducar engine when ass kickin and taking names later is the bizz 💪🏼💯💨💨💨
I'm genuinely impressed, it even has a great sound for a stock muffler. I was going to go 224 but then got to thinking about the smoother stroke in their 212. I want this bike stone cold dependable. Not saying all 224s are rough but I'm also not risking the side cover vibrating loose as easily with the 212.
@fatbuddycat I chose the ducar over the others for my first mini and I love it still thinking bout the pro equip kit on ebay for 115 gives the flat piston billet rod ect
@Spacecruizer203 I'm working on a 224 right now that should turn up nicely. I enjoy building engines. This one I had to clearance for the rod which was way easier than I thought. I had to make an adjustment to my piston height, first time going over 265 and using 1:2 roller rockers.....custom pushrod length and stuff....
@fatbuddycat tell ya the truth if I get all the tools I'm gonna juice this one up something naztyy
@fatbuddycat I know I saw that vid u did I was like dam that's a rippa
I got a request, do a video of a mega moto along side of you colman RSV. I'd like to know the physical size, etc in the to. Seat height, length of wheel base, peg to seat, etc. I haven't seen this anywhere.
I'd say it's slightly longer than a mm212 without suspension. With the swingarm kit the mm212 would be longer I think. It's smaller than the MB200-2 in length and height but it's wider and has a stronger frame. The RSV is a really neat bike in person.
I agree about the frame and looks just like the MM. Seen the MM up against the colman that is like the RSV without rear suspension and it looked lower than the MM, but the frame looks exactly like the MM. I have a TM and is a great bike but I want a beefier frame. Trying to decide on MM or RSV. MM needs to step it up!
Cool video , good to see you posting !!👍👍
I had a bit of a health issue that I've been recovering from along with working full-time (over time). I've been working on a few things when I can though.
@@fatbuddycat Good to see you back , !!
Im thinking ducar with cvt on my baja dirtbug front suspension with hydraulic brake and some ape hangers would be a fun build
For sure! The quality is there. They are a good engine to leave sort of stock and run everyday.
@fatbuddycat I got my motovox riding yesterday I did about 2 miles around on it almost got the dirtbug done I just can't get a valve stem tell tomorrow only thing holding me up walmart and tractor supply both are out of stock but it is hay session here I did get some paint bought ad if I don't do it now there won't be any next month with demolition derbies session starting
@@heathenprojects2639 lol the good ol' boys be hogging it all up!
I gotta try that coil mabey randy put it in not sure motor still running strong 3years 🙏
They are nice, I'm not a fan of traditional mechanical governors but I love the simplicity/reliability of a stock carb. I didn't want a Ghost with a cheap slide job and no aluminum flywheel.
@@fatbuddycatgot ya 👌
great work awesome thanks for sharing
@@Mason-Dain this bike is a blast to own. Simple and effective.
I am restoring an engine. (It’s just a clone 196cc) and noticed that it has aluminum push rods. I think I would rather have steel pushrods in it though. I have a spare clone 163cc that has steel pushrods. The aluminum rods are 0.0035 shorter than the steel rods. Would it be ok for me to swap them? Is that a big enough difference to warrant not swapping or will this difference not be a problem? Thanks for any help.
As long as the geometry looks good you'll be ok. If the 163 is based on a gx160 then it will have the same 5.260 Pushrods as a 196. A 160 has a shorter cylinder with the same 68mm bore as a 196, same valves as a 196....they use shorter lifters to make up for it.
That sounds great!
Even with the stock exhaust you can tell she's got something cooking!
Does a gx160 block have enough material to be bored 2mm over? I know that wall thickness can vary depending on the manufacturer but from your experience what would you say?
Thinking about picking up a Ducar 212. Would it be necessary to get a billet rod or would it be fine with just a limited coil?
I'm running mine with a limited coil and torque converter so it won't get too high up in rpm. The Ducar can be setup for 5300 rpm out of the box with a regular governor, similar to the Tillotson 212R. The Ghost, Ducar and 212r all utilize stock cast rods.
Here's a cool video about it.......ruclips.net/video/8OZIwCP7AU8/видео.htmlsi=gYVBiBk0XZDpBLz2
@@fatbuddycat Thank you. I'm just wanting a reliable engine and don't want anything to explode lol. It'll be a straight chain for my setup.
@wasabimane they are kart racing engines, they typically run clutches on those.
Is the shaft shorter on that ducar compared to the original engine? Had enough shaft for the torque converter drive for good bite ?
@jacobsebastien3910 the torque converter on the RSV200 lines up about the same place as a regular 30 series with a plate mount. They put the chain on the right to allow the pulley to be more inbound. The only one with a longer shaft is the Trailmaster because they kept the drive chain on the left and had to space out the pulley accordingly. .
Oh ok cool bro" Thanks for the information!" @fatbuddycat
@fatbuddycat was asking because I'm soon gonna buy that bike and a Ducar 224 and the pvl flywheel because the ducar 224 doesn't come with a flywheel at all only the 212 ducar. So I'm gonna purchase the pvl flywheel for the 224 and put it on.
And that ducar 224cc doesn't have a governor on it
@@fatbuddycat
Heard if you move the rear shocks to the other holes it raises frame up a lil higher
Gonna do that to mine when i get it. @fatbuddycat
HES ALIVE?!?
Absolutely!
Your valves are making a ton of noise.
@-_-OB1 factory spec. This thing starts easy and runs like a top. Typically I lash tight at .0015 exhaust and intake. I haven't touched these yet. With the correct steps the governor can be removed without touching the valves.
I thought you got busted by the cops riding out on the street and pictured the whole chase scene in my head: RAAAAAH YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE COPPERS RAAAAAH!!!!! 😯🛵☁☁🚓🚓🚓I was gonna send you a cake with a hacksaw inside it. 🥮🪚. 😉
😆 naw just a little skin cancer. Nothing too spectacular.
@@fatbuddycat Holy Crap! Did they catch it early enough that they can get rid of it I hope? 😬
@JNC1973 so far so good!
