Collecting Equipment for the Fire Engine - Roaming Red Engines 2

- Hello everyone,
Today we're taking Jupes, Lawrie's Dennis RS130 out for a trip over to the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway to go and collect some of Lawrie's equipment that was leant to the railway an age ago.
If you want to see Jupes and more of the LMM fleet yourself, then come along and see us for the LMM day at the Whitwell & Reepham Railway on Saturday 10th of August!

I can’t get over how fabulous Jupiters engine sounds. It really does sound like she’s breathing.
Absolutely agree. As sweet as she sounds empty, she would have more of a grunty noise fully loaded with water
Oh dear, what a hardship. Can’t fit the hose in the car, so you just *have* to take your fire engine out for a lovely drive in beautiful surroundings… how dreadful that must have been! Oh well, such is the way 😂
I do rather like hose-cam, that was a very nice touch.

I am very happy the the fire engine is now a reliable lorry. It seems, there are no more hiccups, like in the beginning.

7:41 "we arrive back at the shed without any issues" - I can't see the hoses where you've just stowed them - hope they didn't fall out en-route?

Ever considered doing a video about some details of the engine? I would like to see the pump running/in more detail. Never seen a pump in Uk engine and would be interested in how they do things, like bleeding the hoses for suction, etc.
It would be great to see Jupes at Statfold if they do the emergency service vehicle event again.

I always wondered if Jupes or any of it's kit had ever been used to fill or bathe locos, that answers that question I suppose!
At 7:42, just after stating that you arrived back "without any issues", you show the fire truck reversing - but without the pipes that you were supposedly bringing back. 🤔
you realize of course.. that now that jupes is working you have one less excuse for not working on redruth right? when its finished you will have 2 fire engines and that's gotta be better than 1 right?
One has to ask. Are there any plans for Redruth? I don’t actively follow the channel I watch occasionally so I’m not sure if this question has been answered before.
Plan is to restore it. There's a new front end to be welded in, then it's doing the floor.
It's just time and more pressing projects

Does the firefighting equipment on Jupes work though
I think the answer to that must be "yes". Laurie has said on a previous video that he's only allowed to keep the blue lights fitted if the engine is still capable of fighting fires.
@@PeterJewell2 well considering he did mention the hoses were used for seeing if they can transfer water into engines seems like a yes.
