I use Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 for my vehicle. Do you recommend this oil to Vespa LX 150? Thanks for the tip.

You shoot the best instructional videos. Easy to understand and timely. Great job.
A refreshing to the point video on how to, what a nice change to watch a series of videos without all the crap people put in them, well done to you and your camera assistant
Dude, you are so awesome. This is the cleanest and best oil change I’ve ever seen. I gotta get one of those liquivac machines!!
Great video. Very informative. No talking, just showing. Perfect. Thank you.
Love ur video and the CC instructions rather than some self-loving-voice of most other instructional vids.
I have a GTS200 and GTS250 I picked up at a bargain, don't ride them much but I love them too much to let go either. Gotta take care of the maintenance and your vid is encouraging me 😁
Just bought a Liquivac! Boy, it makes oil and differential oil changes ten times easier!
Что такое лаквивак ?
Thanks for your videos. You're very detailed and you don't skip steps, which I like very much.
An absolutely clean way to change the oil. Very nice !!!!
Yes it is, it's great
Very good video. Thanks. My 2c: I have a 150 GTS: probably slightly different engine than this. When on the central stand, this is just below the drain plug and filter. So I removed them with the bike on the lateral stand, and tilted it to the right to remove all oil. Also the fill hole is different, on the right side and more recessed than what shown here: it is awkward to use a funnel. I needed to fit a hose on the funnel end. As to the filter, mine was super tight from the factory, and none of the filter tool I had were useful as the filter is too small to fit. It was bit of a struggle. For the record, I found some debris on the drain screen: it was the first oil change of this Vespa .... mmm, not nice.
Thanks again.
Your welcome! Yes I will make a video of brake pads change when it's ready to change, I have 14,000 miles on it
wow... thanks you might have possibly saved me a lot of money in future oil changes. i didnt know it was so easy...
Dude you got some mad skilz on doing videos! I always like them.
thanks and your welcome! It's easy to do!
Thanks for this!! I got a new Vespa gt200 and was having a hard time finding these parts!
excellent video. I guess it applies to the 150 too - with 0W30 oil as per owners manual
Gracias a ti me he ahorrado mucho dinero REPARANDO MI VESPA YO MISMO
I really don’t think that the liquivac is necessary for this job - just remove the oil filler plug first then the drain plug and let the old oil discharge naturally
In the UK the best oil for the GTS 125/250/300 IS.....
We done some tests in freezing and hot weather conditions with 9 different 5W40 scooter oils and these were the top 3 in order.
Motul 5W40 scooter power 100% fully Synthetic
Putoline 4T+ 5w/40 Fully Synthetic
Rock Synthesis 5w40 Fully Synthetic.
Most scooter dealers "main dealers" will try and fob you off with cheap 10w40 semi synthetic stuff which is the wrong oil, you want be using only a 5W40 grade oil and fully synthetic if you can.
Very cool! Gonna do a quick oil change on my little LX 125 ie. Thanks for posting!!!
Potresti mettere un video su come si cambia il contachilometri della vespa 300. GTS??
Grazie
Thanks for the info! I use 5w40 full synthetic for my GTS... but I use amsoil 10w40 full synthetic for my 07 suzuki burgman 400 that everyone said it's good...
Own 3 Vespa's (2) GS 160's 1963 and a 250 GTS need help working on them. Good info!
Your welcome, thanks!
Hey Mitch! Thanks a lot for the vids, rly saved me a lot of money for not having to go to the mechanic. Are you planning to do a vid on the replacement of the disk brake pads ? I was planning to replace them and I fear I'd have to remove the rear wheel completely to access the rear caliper....
Thanks again!
Your hands are mighty clean for someone working on mechanics! What did you use to clean the oil screen??
Thanks! You will love 300 Super!! 300 owners love theirs! Oh yeah you will save a lot of money!! Trust me :) Hmm not sure.. you can really work on anything like taking engine apart :)
I have 45,000 miles on my 07 suzuki burgman 400... I think it's low miles... some people think it is so high... I have 15,000 miles on my GTS 250 that I have for almost 4 years now, still low for me... just have the local shop inspect on the bike before buy it... some owners don't take care of it very well and some take care good like me... all those bikes you typed down all are good bikes! just sit on it and see which suit you better
thanks! that's nice one you have!
Appreciate the demonstration. Thank You.
great video gave me the exact info i needed.i dont have one of those fancy vacumes tho.but i'll manage
Thanks, your welcome!
Je vais pouvoir faire ma vidange tout seul maitenant merci et bravo les images sont de calitée
Awesome! I'm gonna try this on my bike!!! Thanks for posting!
@wuweiwarrior very cool! I'm here if you have questions about scooters ...
"please don't be bad" what do you mean?
I don't know much about a good alarm lock... maybe try disc brake lock that have alarm?
Bien fait le tuto, merci pour ton aide...
huh? the oil come up in the TUBE, not bringing the oil up into the upper of the motor
Your welcome!
oh wow seems like you are losing the oil somewhere... I never had to do that. Look around the engine for the leak, or you ride at high speed all the time?
Nice job man i have a classic vespa scooter model 1980 p150x thanks!
MicBergsma... Im interested in buying a BLACK GTS 300 SUPER but before i purchase one i wanted to see if i can handle all of the maintenance on them. How ofter do you have to change the oil on a vespa? and instead of me doing it do Vespas Shops offer maintenance like that? if so how much does it range?
Super ta vidéo...
Ma gli arnesi che usi durante i tutorial li hai trovati nel fustino del Dixan!!?
Thanks for the video! I just got my first scooter (Chinese) a few months ago. I like it, so now I'm shopping around to upgrade. Any purchased would be a used scoot. How many miles are too many miles? I've narrowed it down to Piaggio MP3-400, Vespa GTV 250/300, or GTS 250/300. Recommendations, Pros/Cons...? Thanks again!
Useful video! Thanks a lot!
Great video. If you don't use the LiquiVac, how hard is it to fully drain the oil by just using the drain plug?
You gotta bring back this intro lol
Thank you! :)
Great job, thank you for posting it.
Great Videos. Thank you.
@flappyballs14 I'm hearing impaired, I can talk but not 100% perfect.. so I prefer not to talk in the video.. subtitles do fine for the tutorial videos where people from other countries can translate the subtitles
sympa le tuto.....merci a toi.....good job....
Show de bola from BRASIL very good ..
Really helpful, thanks man!
Great video. Thanks
this is great!!, I would try to do it on my lx
thanks thanks!!
Nice job. Thanks for posting
What's the pump suction name?
Just use an old bottle of oil with the exact measurements for your scoot. In that way you don't have to check repeatedly with the dip stick.
Thanks for the video,very detailed!
a quick question, my vespa 250 needs a topo up of oil every 3 weeks, in 10 months of daily use I topped up about 1 liter of oil. Is that normal that it runs out of oil every so often?
Also how many liters of oil did you put in? thanks !
Love your videos Man, I recently learned that Vespa is starting to move its factories for the scooters over to China. I don't feel too good about that decision, Especially considering how expensive the Vespa's are new. What do you think on this, Do you think they will have a quality drop/price cut? I ask because I will have a vespa someday in my life.
How I can change the spark plug in my Vespa 300?
why?
Подскажите пожалуйста где купить такую канистру для откачки масла ?
Hey, link is in description box
@rockbay79 thank you!
Dude, thanks, But, please consider NOT using your large tool to tighten the filter, hand tight is good and if you need to tighten further use the appropriate slots at the end of the filter
Why I see a lot people using that?
yup
Nice tutorial, may I know how many km need to change engine oil in 150cc scooter?
usually every 5000 km or 3000 miles.
NICE AND CLEAN VIDEO, EXCELENT JOB, CUTE MAN
Thanks man, nice tutorial. Very clear.
Unfortunatly my exhaust was in the way and couldn't access the far exhaust nut underneath, I managed it though just by pulling it away a bit.
I haven't had my first service yet and it's at 2.600km. It's recomended at 1000km so I knew it had to be done soon. I didn't have £100 spare for the service either and I heard that they don't do much else other than change the oil.
How tight would say the filter and drain plug shouold be using a socket set without the cool gadget you have.
Like, tight as it really hurting your hands or tight as in "I do want to be able to get it undone again".
very interesting, thanks
is it the same thing on a gts 125cc? or is the oil filter another place? any answer helps! :)
Good videos congratulations
thanks for videos!
I ordered them from scooterwest online
I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF DO YOU CAN RECOMMENDE ME A GOOD LOCK ALARM FOR MY SCOOTER I HAVE A JULIET 150 CC CHINESE SCOOTER FROM 2011, PLEASE DONT BE BAD AND HELP ME
How about changing the belts or else?
Muito bem explicado....
@toyko1995 I think it should be the same...
Do you have access to Shell T6 5W40. Commonly sold here in the US at Wall Mart Stores. Me and many of my friends have good luck with it.
Where do you buy your supplies from? (Oil & oil filter)
@vidman008 Thanks Ron!
awesome video.
Well done, nice Vid
Would this work on a 2012 150 also?
Belissmo bravo
@ImSkyAdict thank you :)
Il livello dell olio del mozzo della vespa 300gts. cambio olio mozzo vespa 300 gts
Cool intro 🤘
Super video 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
Hey scootertrash, Vespa mount only Italian motors produced by Piaggio and assembled in Italy... And the same is for Aprilia, a brand of the Piaggio group Italia...
@hyperactivecalvino thanks! Love my vespa!
It's okay for vespa s125ie ??
Yup!
@mourajohnUSA ha ha.. wow.. that's weird you have to take wheel off for oil filter... that's crazy
Dziękuję! 🙏🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️👍🇵🇱
Looks like pretty standard oil and filter, try your local auto parts store.
Why did you have to suck out the oil? Won't it all come out when you drain it?
Did you watch the whole video?
I did, and I'm still a little confused. Did you do it so none of it would spill?
I watched it too...and already own a vacuum pump...and am not sure why you used it here when you have to pull the drain plug anyway. I see how you can get away with a far smaller catchpan if there’s only a little oil left, but is that a big benefit?
PS, I’ve been watching your GoPro vids for years, learned a lot from them.
:-D anytime!
Clean jobb man ;) NICE :)
first time saw people change oil like this
